Here is the response I received: Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We are sorry to learn of your disappointment in the service you received at our Wolfert Ave shop. We stress the importance of friendly and efficient service and we pride ourselves on being a part of the community. We want our customers to have an enjoyable experience in our shops. Please know your concerns have been shared with the District Manager and the issues will be resolved at the shop. If any more information is needed, we will contact you directly. The part that I spent so much time with this, and received that comment on an email, and nobody else would have done this is amazing. So I felt like this and I'm sure I speaking for A LOT of other people that frequent Stewart Shop. Don't be so damn cheap and hire adequate people to stock your stores. Customers don't care about your monthly numbers. We are willing to pay for what we want.

I had to check this out. They have a business on Loudon Road in Latham. It's lovely. A bright, clean spacious coffeehouse with big windows and even a tree. There's signage when you walk in that celebrates Yemen's long coffee legacy. The seating isn't normal. Some of the tables and chairs are modern and minimalistic. The fabric couches have plush cushions featuring Yemeni fabric designs. The staffers at the counter were polite and friendly. As for the coffees and desserts, they were out- of- this-world. A few of them featured cardamom. It's a spice from the ginger family that I cook with but I never thought to add to my coffee. They were Iced Marib and a Qamaria Latte. The cake was delicious, too. I think it was a slice of pistachio cheesecake. Yemeni cafes seem to have become a trend across the country and it's no wonder. I stepped into this business and found myself transported to a very different and delicious world filled with history. It was a fun, tasty and even educational experience. Can't beat that.

It's right down the road from a college so there's usually a few people studying. They have some very nice couches set up and everything is very comfortable to sit in.

She became agitated; slamming ingredients around at the blender, yelling to the other girl in the back. I should have cancelled and left right then and there. Store was dead -- one couple waiting at the pickup end, nobody in line. She wasn't slammed. Five, ten minutes go by. She hands the couple their order, makes another smoothie in a blender and sets it on the far end of the pickup counter AWAY from me without a word or a glance my way. It's bright red. I ordered strawberry-banana-blueberry. This had no blue in it anywhere. I figured it wasn't mine. Another five or ten minutes pass. She's glancing at me from afar now and then. Still no blue smoothie shows up. Finally I walk back down and ask about it. She tells me the red one from ten minutes ago was mine. I realize she had let me stand there waiting as retaliation for not tipping upfront. Dirty trick... Here's the part that gets me: I tip in cash, at the end, based on how the service goes. That's the whole point of tipping. But the second she saw no tip on the card screen, she'd already assumed how this was going to go and fulfilled her own prophecy. Places need to stop showing employees who tipped in advance and who didn't. I've watched this same thing happen at Five Guys -- tip upfront or face slower service and vaguely deniable hassles like mine. Never going back to this one.

They offer a good variety of healthy smoothies including fruit blends, vegan, energy and immune boosts and acai bowls. I ordered a small Gladiator Cold Brew smoothie ($6.99 plus tax) which was made to order quickly and had a blend of protein, bananas, cold brew, ice, and milk, blended together. This smoothie was cold, sweet and had the coffee flavor I needed on a hot and humid day outside. They also do mobile orders with the pickup counter in the front. The smoothies and bowls are made ahead of time for those orders and kept cool in a glass cooler until the customer or delivery driver comes in to pickup.

I didn't realize they had reopened until I saw them next to the relocated Penzey's. Hooray! Two things I miss from the old location are the ability to buy coffee beans, and the more eclectic layout. No worries about the beans these days. Their new site is a much more regular layout, but it's more than adequately compensated by a very relaxed and cozy atmosphere, with more space behind the counter to prepare foods. And that counter holds a lot of other confections as well. Their regular coffee is a bit mild, but there's so many other options if you want to vary your coffee's strength and flavor. I liked the variety of teas available too (mostly hot, but some iced). Service is attentive, and your orders come out quickly. This remains a great alternative to other fast food options along Wolf Rd.

Walking in, this spot is a mad scientist lab. Large roasters are front and center, this isn't a classroom but a coffee laboratory! Nice folks behind the counter greeted me each morning as I placed my order. The roast on their coffee had me coming back daily. You might say it was my (pinkie to lip) Coffee Sanctuary?? I paid about $8 for a BLT that consisted of two plain, barely toasted pieces of bread with two pieces of bacon, 2 slices of tomato and a bunch of lettuce. That's it. I had to go back for a packet of mayo and it just made me sad. I also paid about $4.50 for a "fresh cup of fruit" which was just melon sitting in a cup that clearly was not freshly cut that day. I would say to avoid the "fresh" foods here and only purchase prepackaged snacks and drinks.

You won't see it if you come in from the west on Watervliet-Shaker Road; it's facing Route 9 in the smaller, front, building. This site is clean, bright, and accommodating, and if ice cream isn't enough, that assortment of truffles in the display case makes this place even more decadent. The ice cream is rich and dense, the flavors are a mix of traditional and fun. I got cups to go, and I like how they package them for you, with lids and a convenient bag with their logo for carrying them. But their ice cream also remains an occasional treat and not a frequent thing. Everyone has their own price point for ice cream, and getting dishes or cones of ice cream for a family would add up, compared to buying a half-gallon of some brand at a grocery store. Your mileage can and will vary on this. When I've traveled around the country, there have been particular ice cream stores/local chains at which I don't mind paying a bit more for a high quality ice cream. I'm glad to include Emack & Bolio's in that list, for me, it's worth it.

Probably your second decision is going to be how you want your ice cream served - cone or bowl? The cones appear to all be waffle style, and they have a variety of dipped flavors. There is even a waffle shaped bowl available. We decided upon the more tradition paper cup. My wife had a single scoop of Chocolate Addiction ($5.50) which included chocolate chips and fudge chunks. I tried two scoops ($7.50) combining Blueberry Crumble with Salted Caramel Ooey Gooey Cake. All three were very good with the salted caramel our favorite and blueberry crumble a close second. There was also a display case filled with what looked like chocolate candies or treats. I couldn't see a price anywhere. Some of the labels were, dark or milk chocolate graham crackers; milk chocolate turtles; milk chocolate Oreos; key lime; gooey brownie; cherry bomb; and peanut butter. By the time we finished eating our ice cream at one of the tables inside, a long line of customers had developed. Kudos for having spoons strong enough to withstand the very hard texture of their ice cream.
