The prices for the few things we've purchased here aren't overly competitive but it's convenient for children's supplements, this being the only place in the area we've been able to find competing brands of child-specific formulations prescribed by our pediatrician. The staff were helpful and relatively knowledgeable about stock, but this is yet another franchise desperate to get you on their mailing list via discount cards and coupons, and I continue to resent having to go through the routine of declining this on every visit. My general advice when visiting such a place, to avoid being up-sold or purchasing something you're not really clear about, is to research what you want BEFORE going in so you're making your selection based on your own needs and what science you can bring to muster on the topic, and not the bag of retail store tricks (to which we are all vulnerable no matter how well-informed).

The stores website is easy to use and up to date on the available inventory. The associates are very friendly and helpful. They seem quite knowledgeable. The store is well organized and stocked. It appears to have something for everyone. There's more than enough parking, and they're accessible from Mansion Blvd. or Balltown Rd. I went into GNC once, but they don't carry the brands I use. Green grocer always has Dandies marshmallows and also Enjoy Life vegan rice milk chocolate bars. I get these to make s'mores. I can always count on this great store to have many wonderful specialty options for people with special dietary needs and for people choosing to eat different diets or are concerned with the ethics of the factory farming industry. They do have meat and dairy options from carefully selected farms. I don't know a lot about it since I don't eat it but I would imagine these are better options than conventional grocery store meat. It's very fashionable to hate gluten right now and hater be hatin'. I sometimes give up beer, so taking the next step to gluten should be an interesting prospect. Having Somebody Upstairs keeping an eye on me, it makes it easy not to deviate. As a newly minted glutard, I had to find substitutes and how. Luckily for me Uncle Sams's is just up the road. The have a full line of gluten free products and it's actually not that hard to make when you have them on your side. I really don't like the term gluten free. I don't want to avoid something by having to say it all the time. It's like begging for the things you hate. You don't see real estate agents calling communities "crack whore free". They say "lovely neighborhood" Anyway, a pleasant byproduct of being dietary choice empowered is that I just cant get processed shit from fast food places. I used to stop at DD to get a egg sandwich sometimes, or a wrap from Buckaroos, but I just cant do that any more. I also cant have sandwiches, so I'm eating a lot more salads. It's been a week and I really don't feel any different, but I don't really care, I'm having fun.
