Arrived at 10:15 and I was told I could only get drinks if I had a mobile order. This locations hours say 10:30 and previously had been 11pm. According to the barista summer hours now mean they will close at 10. When I drove around on my way out there was a girl just sitting by the window on her phone. Very rude. Last few times we've been they have been very rude, we've been over talked, drinks made wrong and then treated rude when we told them. Drive through speaker wasn't working so we just drove to the window, only to be told we needed to go back around and they would take our order there! They would not take our order at the window. Good Starbucks. Clearly one of the busiest ones in Odessa. Always has a long line and a long wait inside. But the drinks are good and the mobile orders are fresh. Just be prepared for a wait - even with a mobile order. This is a popular location. If you really need to get in and out, try the location inside of the Albertsons. It is likely to be much faster! They have the inside set up to be safer during COVID while you wait and that is helpful with the current climate and not wanting to offend other people while wanting to stay safe! The person came over the speaker and said we are really short handed right now. If you don't have the staff to man the drive thru then close it but for the love of God don't trap people so they can't get out. Tommie is truly one of the most thoughtful and kind people I've ever met. In fact all the staff I have ever talked and interacted at this location with are so thoughtful, kind and always bringing a smile. The drinks are always perfect and the food is always right. When it's not they make it right! Their team is awesome! By far my favorite Starbucks in Odessa/Midland. I'd like to say that yes there is a small wait time at ALL coffee houses with drive through services in the Midessa area. If you're looking for a faster visit please go inside. Texas loves a free market, but business owners in Odessa don't know how to take advantage of it. The owner of this Starbucks would make more money opening up a second store in the same parking lot - or better yet, across the street. It's drive through is super long (I'm not sure why people here don't ever get out of their cars), which makes the inside service long too, even though there's usually plenty of seats. Pros: It's Starbucks, so you know the quality and menu Cons: They ran out of drip coffee one day. I'm not sure how they managed that, especially when they still had pour over coffee and espresso. Every Starbucks I've ever gone to doesn't know how make a tea latte, unless it's a Chai from a mix. They always leave the teabag in the cup. The teabag is supposed to be removed before the milk is added, otherwise the tea doesn't brew correctly, and the drink becomes bitter. This store is no exception there. read more

My preference is to avoid enduring the endless line, the empty coffee bar and the surly counter staff at this location. There is the Starbucks at MCH and thankfully several in Midland that don't charge for a coconut milk substitution, don't require you to come inside for refills and have a full or otherwise pleasant demeanor when asked for a replacement of the empty 1/2 and 1/2. On a positive note, the bathroom is always clean but the inside experience tarnishes the taste. Drive through line usually wraps around the building but it is a better alternative to the arrogant and condescending mouthpiece at the counter. read more

After waiting in line for an hour, only to find out they couldn't accommodate 4/6 drinks that I ordered, the employee, who was an older male, was SO rude. I understand that the wait and running out of supplies is out of any employee's hands, but the way to respond and treat customers is everything. Construction-wise, this is a decently sized Starbucks and a considerable outdoor seating area. They also have two bathrooms. I found it strange that there is no milk bar -- first Starbucks where I encountered this. If you want creamer or milk, you have to go and ask someone at the bar. I also don't like how they auto-sweeten my drinks. I ordered an iced brewed tea and there was sugar in it. Maybe because Southerners like sweet tea? For me, it was an unpleasant surprise. Really small Starbucks. They built another new one in Odessa that is just as tiny. Its hard to come here and do any work with all the people taking up tables. If you want some coffee quick, its faster to go to Albertsons or Target, park and walk inside. Wish we had more local options in this part of town, but have to make do with what you've got. After reading the many reviews I finally decided to stop by. It was noon and although there were only 3 cars in the drive thru I opted to go inside to order. They were adequately staffed although two seemed to completing inventory for the day. The 2-3 baristas preparing drinks did a fantastic job and as I waited the cars in the drive thru were served quickly. All together I'd say this location is good. As with any Starbucks they can get backed up if they are short handed or if one person orders 3-5 drinks. Side note: for any espresso/americano lovers try a 'doppio con panna' with extra whip. It's a double shot of espresso served in a short cup and when you mix the whipped cream together it is delicious. Don't forget the wood stir sticks and extra whip!!
