There are a few places that I need to review again. My local Starbucks is one of them. I have been a customer here for over a decade, well before I knew what Yelp was. I have met some fine baristas over the years, who have gone on to different careers because working here got them through college or university. This store has a high turnover of baristas, mainly because it's often a training store. I am a pretty patient person and I don't mind being a part of their training process. Lately, the current set of staff have not made my experiences pleasant. It has been building since the early part of 2021. One time, I decided to redeem my points towards a tumbler using the Starbucks app. It said that the tumbler was in stock. I also ordered a drink. When I approached the drive-thru, I indicated that I had a mobile order. The man said that it was out of stock. I stated that the app had it available. He maintained that he didn't have it and that he'd give me a refund in the form of a gift card, rather than reloading stars. I talked to this barista, who was the lead this day. I asked why the app didn't reflect their inventory. He simply told me to contact their head office. Um, no. It's not my responsibility to get your lack of updating your inventory and syncing it with your mobile app. The onus is on Starbucks to fix these issues. Telling me to report it is lazy. I'm reporting it to you now. Make it happen. During the same visit, I had another barista ask whether I had ordered "just" an iced black tea. The use of "just" by main staff members here is unnecessary and was ongoing for at least two months. To confirm that you have my order, rattle it off without the "just." I usually reply by saying, "It's only me. One drink is enough." My alternative is, "You aren't just a barista. You are a barista that folks would think that you do important work." Why just? Just do you job by not implying that my order isn't as large as you'd like it to be. I took up that beef with the lead. He indicated that his team often has chats and will discuss it. I will say that I don't get "just a drink" thrown at me as often these days, but coming here to deal with this nonsense has made me drop by less often than I used to. There are a couple of regular barista that I enjoy seeing and chatting with. There are some new ones who are pleasant and great getting my orders from. However, I simply don't enjoy coming here. The lines are often long and I have often waited half an hour for my drink. I am patient, but I see that other Starbucks cafes near me do not make me wait that long and are far more pleasant. The latest experience was ordering through the app, indicating that I had a mobile order, getting to the window, and being advised that staff were brewing black tea. The barista said that someone would come out with my drink in five minutes and that I should park off to the side. I first parked in the parking lot. Ten minutes went by. Nothing. I then parked in front of the patio. No one. Illegally parked, I put on my mask and headed towards the front door. I was met by a barista who had no clue who he was handing the drink off to until my eyes met his. I was thankful for my drink, but waiting fifteen minutes for it was longer than promised or anticipated. There is plenty of parking. I'd avoid parking in front of the cafe because it does get busy with Popeyes and Jeon Ju Hyang next door. Here's hoping that things get better. In the meantime, I'm averaging a visit here once a week or two because it's no longer my favourite place to grab a drink. Sad, but true. (351) read more

I like the spacious parking at this location, and I can always find a spot. It's also close to many restaurants, dessert and bubble tea cafes. It can get very busy so seating is limited. Unless you score a table by the windows, it's quite dim in the back of the café. I always get their frappucinos (S'mores Frappucino Crème is my new favorite) but summer is almost over, so I'm glad I finally tried the Strawberry Acai Refresher. I requested coconut milk instead of water and it became the "Pink Drink." Like the Dragon drink, it had a beautiful pink color. I actually liked it better, and could taste the freeze-dried strawberries. It wasn't too sweet and was definitely refreshing, especially on a hot day! My partner however, preferred the Dragon drink. I asked him to describe this drink, and all he could say was "very girly." There you have it!. If you've tried the Dragon and Pink drinks, I'd be interested to know which you prefer! read more

I had no idea this Starbucks was even here but I'm glad it was since I needed to use a washroom and also grab a cold drink! This location has a drive-through, a decent sized patio, lounge chairs, and tables inside. As with most Starbucks locations I've been to, this one was fairly busy. I asked one of the friendly counter staff for his recommendations regarding a cold and fruity non-tea or dairy drink. He suggested a lemonade with dragon fruit and it sounded good so I went with that. It was good and refreshing, although a bit on the sweet side. Allowing the ice to melt a bit made it more balanced. In a plaza filled with mostly Asian restaurants and tea shops, this location was quite busy. I guess brand recognition and consistency pays off! read more

This is my new Starbucks location since it's so close to my work place. It has a drive through so for those of you who don't want to get out of your car - this is a great location for a pick up. The service speed is average, a lot of staff on the floor, but everyone seems to be doing something. You don't necessarily get served right away, but still within acceptable range of time. The drinks here are good and on point, given that most of the times I just order the doppio espresso with half a bag of raw sugar now. There used to be a time I'd switch up my orders ever so often and they're still pretty on point with it. The baristas here have always handed me my drink with a smile and eye contact, which is a great touch on customer service. read more

One of the worst locations I have ever been to. It started off on a Sunday early evening. I ordered my drink and the batista Eden, asked for my name. I told her it was Terry spelled like Terry Fox. She looked at me blank and said I heard Harry Potter. So I repeated myself one more time. And she says, I have no idea who that is. So I spell it out for her. As I go to wait for my order, she is talking to another customer who was behind me and explaining she doesn't know who that is and if she should. They continued to laugh and Eden had so much pride in not knowing who that was that she started acting like a smug 16 year old who could not give a shit. And continued to comment and laugh till she started to lean against the bar like she was gonna faint. On top of that, you have a manager who said 'it's fine'. And Eden in response 'oh whatever, I don't care'. While this is all happening, the person who was behind me got their drink before me. Things are pretty desperate around here during COVID 19 but to hire a bunch of immature, entitled brats at a workplace that prides itself in giving great coffee and great customer service experience, none of it was up to par. Maybe you need to educate your staff in being respectful and not to act like a bunch of animals in a zoo. And as someone who has worked in the same field, I would fire you. read more

This Starbucks location has always been quick but they lack some seats for the amount of space they have. During events, the staff tend to have a hard time keeping up with services. The drive through is a nice addition for the location too. read more

"Can I have my dark roast coffee in a mug?" and no one rolling their eyes.... and the Barista even warming up the mug for me and tested it made sure that it is perfect... This location has good parking. For some reason, the food items are not well stocked - no salads on the few times I came. I guess it depends on the time of day. Staff are pleasant. The new Ultra Caramel Frappuccino is good, but quite sweet, even when ordering 1/2 sweet. Same with the Triple Mocha Frappuccino. The Seriously Strawberry is unfortunately awful, it tastes very artificial. read more

Knowing full well that Espresso Truffle is discontinued, I went in and ask the familiar face(Guy w/glasses) for an Espresso Truffle. He looks up at the Menu for a moment and replies back that all he can do is make something similar that he never tested before. He tells me if it's not up to snuff, he will replace it for me. I'm normally not a big fan of Starbucks in the first place. However, this location is really close to where I live, so I go there once in a while. It has a drive thru, which is quite convenient sometimes. However, the location is absolutely packed at night. It's really hard to find a seat. Everyone brings a laptop and sits there for hours. Has been my go to starbucks since it's close to where I work. Love the patio in the front for those hot summer days. Other than that the employees and baristas are super friendly! Service can be a bit slow during peak hours due to the fact that this location has a drive thru. But what can I do...people need their caffeine just like I do in the mornings. read more

This was my first time checking out this Starbucks location! I'm never in the area, but it was the closest lone I could find on a random week day afternoon. I'm SO glad that I found it :) I strongly believe that service plays a major part in my decision to whether I would come back again or not. As soon as I walked in, one of the baristas greeted me with a big smile and was ready to take my order. I told her my order and she was nice about it; not a pretentious nice but a genuine nice. Starbucks happened to have a 50% off any iced espresso drinks for members that day and I happened to be a member. I ordered a hazelnut mocca coconut espresso (it was delicious by the way!). Since I really needed an electric outlet that day, the barista helped me find one without me having to find one on my own/look under the tables (I don't really like doing that because it is quite awkward for me). Unfortunately, the plugs are all in the corners and so only a number of tables can get access to them. It would be great if there was a long high table but since the shop is small, this is not really possible. All in all, I would definitely come back to this location if I am in the area again! read more

This is probably my favorite location, not because its extremely close to my house, but it doesn't get as much traffic since its partially hidden and its way...way more chilled inside. They've got a lovely patio in front which is perfect, away from the noisy traffic passerbys on Midland. I only wished that this Starbucks location had a slightly bigger patio and interior. however beggers cant be choosers :) read more

A busy location. It's kind of hard to find a place to sit in during the day. Service is decent but I don't quite get the workflow of this store because it happens many times that I have to wait minutes for someone to attend to me when there is no one waiting in line or waiting for their orders. They don't seem to have a dedicated barista working at the cashier section. What's more, when I bring in my own tumbler to buy tea, according to my mini sample (10ish times), over 50% of the time I don't get the 10 cents off. I experience that in many other locations too, maybe I should write to headquarters and see if Starbucks will really honor this 10 cents off initiative to protect the environment. I've been to COUNTLESS Starbucks all over the country and in Seattle(1st Starbucks in the world) but honestly, this is my favourite one yet. I drive up, order my drink (they can actually hear me!..unlike McDonalds where I literally have to repeat my order several times.. Stupid faulty machines!). After I pay, I get my drink. Love this place, it's in a perfect location because it's literally a 10 minute walk from my house which is awesome! The customer service is great. Everyone there is super nice and super sweet. Not that I care because I'm not an over the top, full of rage type of person but even when I've had to wait a little longer in the drive thru, the person serving me always gave me my coffee for free which is incredibly kind and not expected. The only downside to this location is people outside who have 0 respect for others and puff on cigarettes while I'm collecting my order. I have mentioned this to staff and they dealt with it in a timely fashion. That's good customer service right there. read more

Just another Starbucks but this one has got drive thru which is perfect on my way to work or running errands. Inside there is decent amount of seating and I find this location has the best atmosphere. It's cozy! But you have to go at the right time. Love the baristas. Everyone is nice and easy going about everything which I find is the most important quality when it comes to coffee shops. It's not located on a major intersection but it still gets pretty packed especially during the school year when all the kids have exams so it's very difficult to just grab coffee and chill with friends inside or outside(when the patio is open). read more

This is the Starbucks closest to my school so I do visit here sometimes in the middle of the day during my lunch. I know Serena from when I would visit the Warden Steeles location, and she remembered me too after a couple months. Other staff is very friendly and made sure they made my drink very well, and they made small talk with me and my friends. Definitely would visit again. read more

This Starbucks has improved a lot since I reviewed it last. Haven't has any issues with my orders and the staff is cool.

The coffee here is pretty disappointing. My latte tastes burnt and it was full of foam on top. Nonetheless, this location does have a lot of parking and nice staff. It's a little crowded with people studying at the moment, so I can imagine it getting very crowded sometimes. The crowd is very Pacific-Mall-like, but at least this plaza isn't nearly as busy yet. read more
