Absolutely LOVE their coffee and matcha! I went in February and tried their hot cream drop and cold matcha drop and it was so amazing. They make each drink with such care to detail and it is such high quality. I don't usually go around the area but when I was finally in the area last week, I couldn't help myself but to grab a matcha drop to go! Haven't tried their cookies yet, but I've heard great things about it and would definitely try it next time I go!

After much anticipation, I finally got to try the Matcha Drop from Coffee Lunar, and it did not disappoint! My experience started even before I took a sip - the cafe itself is beautiful, with a minimalist design that immediately catches the eye. I parked in a nearby neighborhood and enjoyed a short walk to the entrance, which only added to the charm of the visit on this beautiful sunny day. Inside, the space is quiet and welcoming, with plenty of seating for those who want to dine in, all bathed in natural light that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient, making me feel right at home. As for the Matcha Drop, it was everything I hoped for. The matcha is robust yet free of bitterness, with an exceptionally smooth texture that's perfectly complemented by the creamy top. Not only does it taste amazing, but it's also incredibly aesthetic and pleasing to the eye, definitely Instagram-worthy. This is what I'd call an outstanding cup of matcha.

At first glance, it's a pretty place with eye-catching drinks. But unfortunately, it was not my cup of tea (coffee?). The drinks were fairly expensive even for the area, but the coffee was mediocre. The shot was a bit sour for my taste. It was a very hot day and there was no AC. The doors were open, so the noise from the street as well as the loud music made it hard to hold a conversation. Service was mediocre -- the person seemed distracted and it was hard to ask questions over all the noise. Also, some of the seating is very uncomfortable (just like Korean IG-centred cafes) with low tables so that you feel like leaving quickly.

I've visited this place many times, and it's always crowded since many people come here to work or study. However, the male barista is often not very friendly, especially when it comes to making changes to your drink. I agree with other reviews that he tends to give off an uncomfortable attitude whenever you ask him a question. Most of the time, he just leaves the drink on the counter and walks away without informing you that it's yours.

The matcha cream drop is one of the best in Toronto Aside from amazing coffee, the place is nicely renovated, great place to study and a lot of influencers come here to take photo. Top cafe in Toronto for sure. Owner is nice guy also. Always keeps the place clean, and maintains quality

Coffee Lunar is a nice modern café in the north end of North York on Yonge Street. They serve high quality coffee and also have merch and other coffee merchandise for sale. DRINKS (5/5) It seems their signature drink series is called 'drop' which refers to a sweet cream cold foam on top of the preset drink options. We ordered the Cream Drop (americano) and Vanilla Drop Latte both regular size and cold. The sweet cream is really rich, has a thick body and mixes with the coffee really well without taking away from the integrity of the espresso. I'd recommend asking for less vanilla syrup if ordering the Vanilla Drop Latte. AMBIENCE (5/5) The café is quite minimal with grey plastered and brutalist inspired furnishings. There is not a whole lot of table seated options, however the entire perimeter of the store is lined with benches. Weekends are super busy and becomes a bit of a challenge to find a nice spot to set up if you want to do work or study. VALUE (4/5) The 'drop' drinks were on the pricier end considering the size, but the flavours and overall coffee experience makes it worth it. ACCESSIBILITY (2.5/5) Coffee Lunar is located right on Yonge Street so is accessible via a whole list of buses to/from Finch station. Parking in the area is more challenging with limited street parking on Patricia St or via the parking lot in front and behind the Katsuya/Daldongnae (although not supposed to). OVERALL (5/5) Coffee Lunar is a great café to have on rotation in the area with great drinks, nice modern ambience, and decent accessibility. Will be back to try more classic coffee options next time!

This is the second store my dad saw article on singtao newspaper and we drove by before. Today we decided to check it out. The cold cream drop has a nice aroma and looked very nice. I ordered the lemon ginger rooibos, I find it too sour so nice time I will order another tea. It was quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. The cold brew concentrate was very nice and it came with a cloth bag. Great gift for friends and family when visiting!

Love this cafe! The service is okay, just don't rush, they need time to make such a great drink and worthy! The interior is modern and minimal, I ordered the Matcha Drop, and it was nothing short of delightful. The intricate balance of sweetness and matcha favour made each sip a true pleasure. Overall, my experience was thoroughly enjoyable, and I highly recommend stopping by for a visit!

We ordered two drinks here and came to work in the cafe. The hot chocolate and the matcha drop were both tasty; we would definitely order them again or try something else on the menu when we return. We received the drinks soon after ordering and we were able to find seating easily. The interior of the cafe is very minimalist, and it has ample types of seating for doing work or just lounging and chatting. The overall vibe is great for either!

Lovely cafe for girls hangout and will visit again for sure! Recommended by friend, the location is great and convenient. Tried their two drop series this time, love the cream drop with espresso. Rich taste with double layers you will have a different taste after you mix the cream and espresso!! Staffs are so friendly as well and will recommend how to have a better taste and experience of the drink. Definitely recommend

Great news! This coffee shop opens till late (9pm). Latte was delicious and latte art was amazing! Matcha cookie was delightful too. Other than cookies, they also serve tiramisu and basque cheesecake, which can be found in the fridge on the side. You'll have to pick up your coffee at the counter and bring the dirty dishes to the tray near the counter. Pretty much self-serve. The coffee shop was a bit stuffy on the day I visited. Probably because there were a lot of people and the AC wasn't strong enough. But overall a nice experience.

I got the matcha mango bingsu which came out to just over $20 after tax and tip. What was most disappointing was how little of a matcha taste I got from it. The base was a very sweet milky taste, and I really wish they infused the matcha directly into the shave ice itself. The matcha was just drizzled on top with matcha powder, along with some whipped cream which only diluted the matcha taste further. On the other hand, I will say they are generous with the mango topping, which were very fresh and perfectly ripe. They gave one single mochi cube which I feel they should either give more of or none at all. The environment itself is very noisy. Not sure what it is about the walls but they do not absorb sound well at all. Voices echo and bounce off the walls like crazy, it sounds like everyone is yelling and talking over eachother in there. That aside, the space and decor has a cute vibe and the self-serve water/coffee bar is a nice added touch. If I ever come back here, it would either be out of convenience or to try their drinks/a different dessert. Unfortunately the bingsu falls short in my opinion especially for the price tag. The base should resemble more of the flavour rather than rely on toppings.

Coconut Pandan Cheesecake & Black Sesame Tart -- Worth a Try!…read more Just tried Uncle Tetsu's two newest flavors and honestly both were a solid experience! The Coconut Pandan Cheesecake really stood out to me -- the pandan flavor is incredibly dense and rich, and the texture is great. The only thing is, since it's freshly made, it can be a little too moist by the time you get home. My tip: Bake it for a bit and it firms up nicely. Also, huge props on the green packaging -- it's clear they put real thought into matching the box to each flavor. It makes every new release feel special, which I really appreciate as someone who loves having something new to look forward to! The Black Sesame Tart is a must if you're a tart lover -- the tart shell itself is chef's kiss as always. The black sesame filling is super rich and indulgent, though I personally found it a touch too sweet for my taste. Definitely a treat-yourself moment, so go in knowing that! They have an extensive menu, and it all looks really good! We got the Chicken Karaage and Croffles, which really hit the spot if you like sweet and savory food! The Karaage was really well done and complimented the croffles. We also got the creme brulee souffle pancakes, which were well done! However, I do wish there was more of a caramelized top for the creme brulee. In hindsight I do wish I got a more interesting flavor like Ube or Pistachio since they have a good selection of flavors, but the creme brulee was still pretty tasty! I'd say order another flavor instead though. The souffle pancakes also take 20min to prepare which took longer than their other dishes, but as long as you're sharing plates and can eat something else until it comes then it's all good! The chicken karaage was kind of dry on its own, but dipping it in the syrup and eating it with the croffle made it better. If you want a hearty breakfast, the classic breakfast is a solid choice. The soufflé pancake was fluffy and delicious, well worth the wait. I was amazed by the detailed latte art as well. Highly recommend this cafe!
