From the outside you will note that the building definitely needs a little love, but within you'll find a classic cozy coffee spot for a warm beverage and a tasty brunch. My most recent visit was an early morning where I think we caught them a little off guard. It would seem the college crowd doesn't make it in until after 10 on the weekends. It seems like it is worth it to look them up online and have a good idea of what you want beforehand. This is one of those spots where there is a large menu behind the counter and some small paper menus by request. Basically it forces you into that awkward engagement before you've really had a chance to check things out. A West Coast Breakfast Sandwich on a Bagel with a Mocha hit the spot for me. Portions are modest, so you don't have to worry to much about overeating. It was a nice way to break up the holiday weekend monotony. This isn't a knock on this location because this is a company recipe issue. New location still ironing out bumps, waited a bit too long compared to other spots. Even had the car behind me served their drinks before myself and I'm not sure how. Maybe this is a place to get energy drinks versus coffee unless you want dessert in an expensive liquid form. I continually choose a boring/safe drink and then I am completely underwhelmed. Per usual, I will be back to try other things! I'm simply knocking down a star because when my drink was set on the counter after it was made, the person who was going to put the lid on looked down into the drink as if there were something in it and then it was taken back to the prep area. I don't believe it was remade, and if there was something in it, I wouldn't expect it to be taken out and still served. If I knew what actually happened, that might have changed my rating!
