Fruit whole fruit sliced. The best place to find goodies for the weekend. Fresh meats to buy and take home and cook. Ready to eat prepped foods to eat there or take home. A shop for spices and wonderful things to use in the kitchen. This place also has a section where you can buy homemade fresh baked cookies cakes pies, breads. So much here to look at. Candy too. I ended up spending under $12, for assortment of cookies, sliced Italian bread, two turnovers and a peach muffin, and decorative cookie. We were lucky that they had fresh bread pop out of the oven while we were waiting and they sold us a loaf (usually available only in the morning). Every holiday season, she put a clean tablecloth on the dining room table, and spread flour over it. She then rolled sweet roll dough into a layer that covered the table and was so thin it was translucent. She then spread a mixture of brown sugar, butter, and finely ground walnuts over the dough. The tricky part was rolling the dough into a cylinder ( I helped with that part). The reward was a fragrant roll with many layers. Butter Maid is exactly like what my mother made, plus they have flavor choices she never dreamed of. The prices are very reasonable, and regular customers get great discount. A plus is that you can buy a cookie donation for our military troops!
