Best poboy s and onion rings !! The breakfast is awesome too with friendly staff !!! Food is always on point !

Everyone on Grand Isle comes after church.

What a fun place! On Grand Isle this is clearly the place where the elite meet to greet and eat after Sunday church! I've been a few times and never had a bad meal. I've dined with groups and -- despite the challenges this imposes on the kitchen and waitstaff -- had great meals. I've dined alone and had great meals. Starfish seems to be able to do it all. Couple of tips: 1) Do *NOT* skip the onion rings. You'll thank me later. 2) They have an ATM inside, but they also will take a credit or debit card. This confused some of my group members. If it's not too hot, the picnic tables in front make a wonderful Al Fresco dining experience, too!

    Chicken? Chick-ken?

Came to New Orleans on vacation and drove down here to go to the beach. That drive would've been worth it for this restaurant alone. gator po-boy was great, but the true beauty was the chicken. 24 mixed pieces for $33. Bring friends, bring an army. Fight the chicken. It took up half our table and even my vegetarian friend ate some.

Staying open till 9pm on weekday seems to be the mark of a place that wants your business, as many other restaurants on the island are closed. Glad they were open! Really enjoyed the food here. They were plenty busy and still made room for us. Fried seafood and burgers are the big draw here. They have a decent size menu as well. The portions are very generous. You get your money's worth here and shouldn't leave hungry.

Solid grub on Grand Isle. Great and tasty seafood platters and the onion strings are solid. Local hangout and well deserved popularity. Shrimp platter 4/5 Apps 3.5/5 Seafood platter 4/5

Popular local spot, ordered couple appetizers and the seafood platter with onion rings. The seafood platter (4/5) was better than the appetizers (3/5) and the onion ring (5/5) was great. Would suggest to call before heading over as the place may close earlier than the closing time Google/Yelp suggests.

My only complaint is to be ready to wait if you come here. We sat down before 9:30 PM on a Friday and didn't get our food until after 11. It does state on the menu to be prepared to wait up to 45 minutes for your order so it's only fair. Small place with a lot of seating, pretty nice menu. Went ahead and got the roast beef poboy, it lacked gravy a bit, and meat a lot. Tomatoes were sliced like 2" thick and I had a ton of pickles (not complaining about that), fries didn't have any salt but that's no issue. The flavor of the roast beef and little bit of gravy was good, just didn't have much gravy or meat.

Love local eateries and this one is just that. I stopped because there sign said fresh never frozen hamburgers and I am a sucker for good hamburgers. So I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and potato salad. Also got some chili cheese fries because why not. The burger lived up to the fresh not frozen. It was cooked well and seasoned well. The potato salad was definitely homemade which I love. It was seasoned perfectly and was just delightful. The fries left a little to be desired. Pretty sure they were not fresh made in house but I just wouldn't order that again. Plenty other stuff looked yummy on the menu. If you want good food and small town vibe this place is what you want. Little pricey for the type of restaurant but would come back.

We were visiting Grand Isle on a three day weekend. It was Sunday night and we weren't sure if anything would be opened. Luckily Starfish Restaurant is opened until 8pm on a Sunday night. We shared the seafood platter, it comes with a side (we chose fries) and to our surprise even a side salad. The side salad was a refreshing surprise before bringing out the fried seafood platter. The seafood platter included fish, oysters, shrimp, crab, and sliced toast.

Best burger I've ever had in my life! No lie! I'm a Whataburger purist. I can never go back. Drove out of our way TWICE! Not only are the people there the nicest EVER, but their food is amazing. Please help support Grand Isle after IDA. This place is worth it. You'll love it.

We asked for water at least six times before we finally got it. Half of the drink orders were forgotten, and not a single meal came out together. Everyone at the table might as well have eaten on different days. And the food? If you like Sysco, you'll love this place. The menu is loaded with pre-made, frozen products. How do you operate a seafood restaurant in the seafood capital of Louisiana and serve imported, frozen crab cakes straight out of a bag? That's honestly embarrassing. The saddest part is that this restaurant has an incredible location. It succeeds despite some of the worst service I've experienced. A place with service this bad shouldn't be rewarded with full tables--it should be empty until they decide to do better. Shameful

And the food is generally blah because it puts a lot of strain on the kitchen all at once. Surprisingly, our experience was fantastic. The food was hot, fresh, and obviously cooked to order. We started with appetizers for the table and they were really delicious. Then, the waitress went around the table taking orders. I don't think any two of my party ordered the same thing. (I started to feel really bad for the line cooks.) However, to my surprise, each order came out in sequence, perfectly cooked. Now granted, this is a seafood-oriented restaurant. But a lot of folks in my party ordered turf dishes. There was a pork sandwich that was reviewed as really tasty. My friend who had the chicken said it was cooked perfectly and juicy. I had a cheeseburger and fries, delicious all the way around. Those in my party who had the sweet potato fries were particularly impressed with how tasty they were. On a personal note, the shrimp cakes (which are like crab cakes, but with shrimp) were fantastic. And the ahi tacos, while sumptuous, are a little bit of a challenge to eat without making a mess. Overall, I really like this restaurant. It's on the water, it offers inside or outside dining, the prices are reasonable, and the food is first rate. The restaurant was spotlessly clean and the staff went out of their way to make sure every person in my party left full and happy. Next time I'm on Grand Isle, I plan to take my wife here for date night. I hope to see you there.
