Buffalo fried cauliflower and loaded totchos
    Olivia B.

I finally got around to Starkweather brewing co and it did not disappoint! I tried their hopnivore IPA and it was smooth, hazy, and light. It was perfectly balanced and oh so tasty. I also tried their loaded totchos and Buffalo cauliflower wings and everything tasted amazing! I was so impressed by how many vegetarian and gluten free options their menu had. Their beer menu was also very diverse and featured a good number of stouts as well as IPA's and lagers, they even had gluten free beers. The service was quick and efficient and everyone we spoke to at the bar was so lovely. The restaurant/brewery itself has ample seating, clean restrooms, and it was nice and toasty in there for a chilly afternoon. I will most definitely be returning so I can try more of their amazing beer/food.

    Cauliflower wings and bingo!

This spot has music bingo on Thursdays, and it is always such a fun time. They have a great selection of food, and a lot of on Thursdays. They have free music, bingo, and it is always a full house. I've also heard amazing things of their in-house cheesecake, but I haven't tried it yet. Great vibes, great staff, and always a great time!

My friend reserved a room and table here for her birthday. The staff was super nice and prompt. Everything was set up nicely and a couple minutes early. They had buffet style of chicken fingers, Tator tots, cheese curds, chicken wings, and pizza. The wings had 4 flavor sauces - ranch, bbq, sweet chili, and buffalo. The pizzas flavors included cheese, sausage, pepperoni, and more. My favorite was the garlic chicken! It was amazing. The room fill probably 16 people. There was also several more big tables outside the room. They had 3 IPAs- one orange, one Belgian, one hazy. The only stout was a nitro. They had 2 saisons and a sour. They also do $1 off kick the keg specials.

We visited last night with some friends to celebrate the brewery's two year anniversary. They had a special going on with ten guest stouts on top, so we went specifically for this event. I hadn't visited since April 2022 and was pleasantly surprised to find new offerings including delicious food! Our group ordered multiple items including the tatchos (aka nachos with tater tots instead of chips...yes please), cauliflower 'wings' aka fried cauliflower, and the chicken tenders. I could not believe how good all of it was! The chicken tenders came with one of the best sauces I've ever had, and the cauliflower was the perfect consistency. So many times I've had them overcooked and soggy, but not here!! All of the bartenders and food servers were super nice. Our table didn't have napkins on it, though, so we had to ask the bar for some which was a little strange. I'd think either have them on every table or at least offer them to customers that order food. Not a big deal, of course, just something I noticed. The guest beers were delicious, while their own beers were just okay. There were only five of them on tap because of this event, and I was told that when it is over they will go back to having 15 of their own beers on, so I'd like to visit then to give more of them a try. I do love that you can order a flight so you can try multiple things. They also have some seltzers and N/A options for non-beer and N/A drinkers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere as well, the decor is cute and I also like the large water jug in the corner. They currently do music bingo on Thursday nights so it got a little loud when that started, so we ended our evening shortly after that began. The parking lot in the back seems like a little bit of a free for all which was stressful in leaving as I was nearly parked in from all the bingo customers, so just beware of that if you use the lot!

This unassuming building hides a chill local bar with a wide range of in-house brews and friendly service. They have a good variety of seating and TVs to catch the game. Also offered is a selction of bar bites and pizza while I wasn't hungry this visit the beers I tried were wort the trip.

Nice place to stop in for some beers and food. The servers were friendly and welcoming. The brew their own beer and have a variety of offerings. My husband tried some of their beers and I had a seltzer. We also tried their cheese curds and cauliflower wings with the Sweet Thai Chili Sauce. Both were good, but the cauliflower wings were very good. Good experience.

    Orange seltzer - tasty.

Finally stopped in after doing business at two nearby shops. ALERT - they have snacky thingies! I did not know this. Fried cheese curds and accompanying ranch dressing were lovely. And their seltzers have substance. Great vibe, nice staff. More food coming but there is something for everyone on their "small bar plate" (my term) menu.

This is a newer spot but they know what they're doing. Cheese curds are really good. They're served with ranch but they have different sauces if round ask -- ask for jalapeño ranch! They brew their own beer and it was good! Menu actually has a lot of items on it but we only tried the curds during this trip.

It's the perfect place to spend a relaxed afternoon -- good beer, friendly staff, and a laid-back vibe that's never too crowded. The space itself is great -- high ceilings, big windows that let in tons of natural light, and a nice open layout. The outdoor patio overlooking the pond is especially beautiful when the weather's nice. It's also dog-friendly, which we love! Our pup is always happy to come along, and we even picked up one of their dog toys from the merch area -- easily her new favorite. They've got some fun merch for humans too. The beer selection is solid, with something for everyone. We've really enjoyed the Lil Louie Lager and Badger Club Amber, and they always have a few rotating taps that keep things interesting. The staff has been consistently friendly and welcoming every time we've visited. If there's one area for improvement, it's the atmosphere. The space itself is awesome, but it sometimes feels like it's missing a little energy I'd love to see more events, live music, or themed nights to bring the place to life. It has so much potential to be a real community hub. Overall, Wisconsin Brewing Company is absolutely worth checking out great beer, great staff, and a beautiful, dog-friendly spot to unwind. With just a little more happening in the space, it could easily be a five-star destination.

I wish we had more time cause I would've loved to have tried some food and maybe some other beverages. Definitely will come back.

Great Dane Pub has become one of my favorite spots in Madison for a variety of reasons from the drinks, vibes, service and community support! Situated on the corner of Doty and King in downtown Madison, Great Dane is a welcome sight for any visitor or local looking for a chill spot to have a solid drink, tasty bite and/or a good time! The pub is one large space, but it is separated into a few unique areas. One side is quintessential pub with a long bar, lots of dark woods, and a good sized dining room. The other is more of a pool hall vibe where you will find the other side of the bar, several pool tables, lots of TV's, high tops, darts, etc...We have bellied up to both sides of the bar and while I like both sides, I prefer the vibe of the pub side. They have a fairly extensive food menu with several bar/pub classics such as wings, nachos and burgers. But they also offer a good variety of sandwiches, bowls, salads, soups and even tacos. While we are normally here for the drinks, we do enjoy the cheese curds, wings and poutine! Speaking of drinks, they always have a great menu of house cocktails that is constantly updated for seasonality. I have had several iterations of cocktails and since I visit a few times a year, I always get to try new seasonal cocktails and beers! Service is always stellar here, no matter what side of the bar you are on. Welcoming, friendly and helpful...every time! Overall, I am an absolute fan of The Great Dane Pub!

On a very hot Saturday afternoon we made our way to this location not too far off the Beltline. Fortunately there was just enough shade outside that the tables and chairs were out of the sun to watch the band. Delta doesn't have a very attractive outdoor space but that is not unlike other small microbreweries around here. They had quite a few beers to choose from though most were not my taste. I did settle on their German pils which was quite good. My wife opted for a kombucha that she liked. They do have a number of non-alcoholic choices too and even a few mixed drinks... Given it was their version of Octoberfest they had a food vendor outside and I understand they often have food trucks because I am not sure what other food choices they have beyond a tombstone-like pizza I saw someone eating. We didn't spend anytime inside but it looked like a typical microbrewery with high top tables and lots of games.
