Wow. If you are looking for a way to get out on the water this summer or fall, Starlight Charters has it all. They have three boats, Luna, Starlight and Soliel. Each one has a totally different experience. I've chartered Luna and Soliel. Luna is a huge sailboat that caters to larger charters in the 30+ person range. It's a cool Caribbean vibe and very tastefully outfitted. There is even room to dance on deck or below. Lots of white bean bag chairs on deck to lounge in with friends. It's like nothing out here in the Hamptons. Have it catered and go. The other boat I chartered to Block Island is Soleil. It is a Hinckley picnic boat that has that classy Hampton appeal and is super fast with a jet drive engine. We also went to Duryea's Lobster Deck in Orient point. I mean really? Does it get any better than that? I showed up in a Hinckley, had Lobster for lunch, then went to Block Island. Bucket list checked. Thanks for such a memorable summer. Awful experience with this guy, worst in the Hamptons. I've attached a screenshot with the interactions in question. The owner is as deceptive as his business practices, including fake reviews from friends , which you will find out too late should you proceed with him. In the screenshot, you can clearly see that Mr Toby Stull, owner of this business, accepted our offer on a brokerage and provided a special discount. This discount was unfortunately higher than the prices advertised - a rip off attempt. When we called him out on his skeevy practices, he then in a rage kicked our family off his boat. This is emblematic of how he runs his business. And I will note he spread bad words about my family around Sag Harbor, defaming his customers. We criticized his customer service and reminded him of our right to post about this experience which ALL consumers have. read more

Captain Toby and his crew are one of a kind! I celebrated my bachelorette in Greenport, NY and our sail with Captain Toby was easily the highlight of the trip. We came on board with champagne, cheese, crackers, and fruits and the items were whisked from our hands and expertly placed on beverage serving trays and arranged as a charcuterie platter. We spent the afternoon lounging on bean bags, listening to our favorite jams through their Bluetooth speaker, and taking lots of photos. The entire crew chatted with us, offered to take photos, and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Captain Toby even offered to use his drone to take a few gorgeous photos from above. It genuinely was 3 hours of true luxury! Big thank you to Captain Toby - I would 100% book this trip again! read more

One of the nicest days of my life. Two moms and 4 teenagers sailed with Toby on August 7. The kids had never been on a sailboat. I should talk about Toby first. Toby made the day so wonderful with his intuitive sense of what different people need. He catered to our interests, understood our fears, and helped each one of us be comfortable in this new experience. To my more daring son, he had a kayak aboard the ship and he loved the experience. He arranged for a colleague of his to take the kids wave riding. He knew the type of restaurant we were looking for and took us to SALT in Shelter Island. We had the pleasure of eating lunch withToby and learned so much about his beautiful sailboat and his history. And for my other son who is sun sensitive, he had the most beautifully maintained living area and bedrooms, the cleanest toilet, the charming living room and kitchen where my son could retreat when he needed it. Toby's entire ship was ours for the entire day. We could use anything and everything. For me, I loved that he has a very shady canopy and comfy cushions and pillows near the wheel. I loved going out to the front of the boat and sitting there as well. I adored Toby by the end of the trip, and realized that if we had just spent the day with someone who was not as personable and kind and patient, that we would not have had the same experience. The boat is immaculate. Seeing the islands from the boat, is peaceful and tranquil. The next day , I was actually depressed because I knew that Toby was going on a three night excursion with a couple, and I realized that I couldn't text him for another quick trip. I totally recommend Toby and the Starlight Sailing Charter for anyone. Perfect day!!! read more
