Everyone had a great time from the youngest (5 yrs.) to grandma and grandpa. Keith was so accommodating to all the needs of our large group and everyone liked him so much. My husband and boys went fishing and caught a couple fluke. The boys were excited to catch a couple of crabs and robinfish as well. They gave great information upon booking the reservation on the phone. Parking was very easy but depending what time you go I'd go sooner for parking! The women who checked us in was very sweet. She explained everything to us. She told us where to go and how to stay safe. The man who got us on the boards was equally as nice. He gave us a quick course on how to use the boards. The boards were much easy than I thought. I felt secure and got the hang of it pretty quickly. We paddled to an amazing area with a waterfall and past some beautiful houses and shoreline. I loved that you could kneel , lay , stand and just float in the water. It was definitely a fun day and I can't wait to do it again.

We kayaked in Cold Spring Harbor just behind the lab and had an awesome time. It was so relaxing and quiet as we glided across the water. Joe led us in the front and Connor picked up the rear so we always felt safe and in good hands. Since this was our first time, we opted for a 1hour lesson/tour and Joe told us that most of his customers, at the end of the tour, say they wanted more time. Wow. Anybody who's ever needed surfboard repair knows how impossible it is to find a guy who will…read moredo a decent job, on time, for a reasonable price, etc. it's usually less fuss just to buy a new board than to deal with your old favorite board being taken hostage for the next four seasons by some mysterious dude who has three other day jobs in addition to ding repair and who won't return your calls (or your cash). Having experienced this, I hadn't bothered for about ten years and therefore have a backyard full of damaged boards. Island Surf evidently has some magical elf chained in their basement who is the last known craftsman in this trade. I took in a board with dings on the rails, one torn-out fin box (helpful reminder: don't drive over your board with your car), and two crushed "wings" on the swallowtail. Bottom line, this thing would sink in a puddle of spilled milk. The board was returned one day late (one day!! making it the most prompt repair in the history of this industry); the entire tail was rebuilt, looking literally better than new (I didn't ask for this btw); all finboxes replaced (also a bonus). It's no stretch to say it's better than new. The capper was when they handed the board back to me with complimentary wax, fin key, etc. Being a bad surfer, I'm kind of a connoisseur of repair for damaged boards. I can honestly say these guys do the best job I've seen in the US, Asia, etc.

After weeks of failed attempts to make contact I decided to email them. After several back and forth emails over the course of a few days (they only send responses in the middle of the night) I requested someone call me directly to book an appointment because I was told that time slots available on the website were actually NOT available. I never heard back despite continued follow up. When contacting Groupon to put in a claim I was advised there were many complaints for the same reason. Don't waste your energy.
