I'm a disabled senior citizen in East Hartford CT. unable to…read morewalk I use a mobility scooter to get out and a wheelchair when home. My first few visits with Dr.Bansel went ok but he seemed to be agitated and rushed. On a teleconference call I kept getting disconnected when I called the Doctor he totally lost it with me on the phone. He asked me if I was using a computer or a cell phone? It's my cell phone I have used it numerous times with other people no problem. He told me in an aggressive manner that my phone was the problem and he might not get paid. He told me the next time I needed an appointment I had to come in. So the next time I had to make an appointment when I tried to see my doctor he wasn't available at any of the times I could get a wheelchair van. So I was offered the nurse practitioner that appointment went well. At the end of the appointment I was scheduled in for a future appointment in 6 mts. About a month later I needed a box checked off on a form to excuse me from jury duty and asked if I could mail it in and mailed back to me. After being on hold I was told I had to make an appointment per the doctor. It was just to confirm I was disabled no records were required. The doctor had been taking care of me for three years and knew I was disabled. So I called United Healthcare they sent a nurse practitioner to my house on a wellness visit and he checked the box. So I called the doctor's office and expressed my disappointment he knew I was disabled he took care of me for 3 yrs at the same time I also mentioned that I had difficulty entering the building because there were no push buttons for a person with a disability to enter. That I struggled to get in and was stuck for over 10 minutes in the hallway facing more doors. Unable to call for help because I dropped my cell. All of this conversation was in a calm respectful manner. When my appointment came up I missed it. There were no notifications to remind me. I found out I missed it from a text. So I called the office to let them know I was sorry that I missed the appointment I wasn't aware and after 6 months my memory was not as sharp as it used to be. About a week later I received a letter telling me that I would be charged if I missed anymore appointments. So I called back and was pretty upset that I would get such a letter even after no reminder to the appointment and I felt the office was interested more in getting paid then me as a patient I made it clear I didn't feel comfortable using Dr.Bansel and would not be back. About 9 days later I received another letter telling me that they were releasing me as a patient again the letter angered me. Let me make it clear I got rid of this doctor he didn't get rid of me. The doctor made me feel uncomfortable because of my disability he has a horrible temper and only cares about getting paid. Normally I give excellent reviews when earned. This negative review would never had been posted if I didn't get this second letter. Think twice before using Dr.Bansel. Looking at all the other reviews I'm not alone.

Opening up to a pcp letting them know that I can not eat certain food because my stomach gets upset…read moreand getting a "well dont eat that food" instead of "we can advise you to run some tests" is not what i expected. Told him i get dizzy during the day and he tells me that might have to do something with your heart arrhythmia without asking more questions and instantly minimizing all the other possibilities. Also, I needed an earwax cleaning and the pcp said that his wife could do that since she is familiar with this. She did clean one of the ears and the other one she couldnt and prescribed me some eardrops. Pcp Sudeep told me to use the eardrops till our follow up which would be in two weeks. Got the eardrops since that day and the package advised for the product to use it only 4 days. Started the eardrops 4 days before the appointment. Started having too much pain and couldnt hear. Texted the pcp on my chart explaining my issues and he replied back to continue using it even though the package of the product clearly states to check with doctor in case of pain etc. sent him another text on my chart the other day to bring forward the appointment by one day since the pain was too much and got no response. Appointment day: the pcp comes in and checks my ear even though the first time he stated that he was not "of that field" and his wife took care of it since the beginning. As soon as he gets a quick look he tells me that it is fungal infection and i should see an ENT. I get upset since its not my first time cleaning my ears and as soon as there is pain on the ear the doctors already know there is something wrong and advise for medicines but not in this case. Even though i had a earpain the pcp didnt recommend the ENT in an instant but wanted me to use debrox. I asked for his wife to come and check me and he said that she is busy with another patient (which of course since noone wants to deal with a mess they created). I got upset and asked why should i go to the ENT to check something that im actually having a follow up for it and paid $25 (which was mentioned multiple times on the summary). 25 is nothing for my health but the way i was treated was horrible and not fair and would rather throw that 25 outside than give it to someone who does not take care of their patients. Pcp would insist to go to a ENT since he was noticing fungal infection that he did not notice the first time. Pcp offers the water cleanup and i agree. The assistant which was really good took out a good amount of wax remaining with the water procedure (and now the pain is not that bad as in the beginning). Pcp comes back again and checks my ear again. He states that "yep there is fungal infection you have to go see an ENT" i got upset again and asked how he could see when my ear was full of water and medicine but apparently he could. Asked him where i could find an ENT and what ENT was since im not that familiar here in USA and he was so eager to recommend his ENT and I just told him that i will find my own and do not need him to refer me to anyone. Upset with the service and how i was treated. P.s i had to get out of work to be at 3pm there just for the pcp to walk in at 3:25. Couldve left work at 3:25 if that was the case and have a full shift. Also, a joke i didnt like the first time was between pcp and his wife that im taking the service of two for the price of one. If thats an issue you can easily recommend me to go to a ENT since the beginning and not make a big deal out of it. Also, my appointment was supposed to be with Robin and i got checked by Sudeep!!! And he has the audacity to tell me she's busy!!! Really disappointed

Unethical and Predatory Practices I visited his office for…read morewhat was a simple sinus infection. Dr. Tandon did not take the time to listen to my symptoms. Instead, he immediately attempted to perform an endoscopy without my consent and billed me over $1,000 for it. This was entirely unnecessary for a routine sinus infection. They also invoiced for 45-minute visit when it literally took 5 minutes I left the appointment with no prescription, just a book recommendation on Amazon. When I later messaged the office about worsening symptoms (yellow/brown mucus), I was told I had to schedule another visit--less than a week after my first appointment. Only after I said I would have raised the issue with my insurance did Dr. Tandon call me later in the day, saying he could not prescribe an antibiotic without a CT scan but he would have done an exception For reference, I ultimately resolved my infection with a $6 antibiotic prescribed elsewhere.

I saw Dr Tandon yesterday with a flu at 102.2. My body had been in pain from head to toe and I was miserable. His nurse (Erica) was a sweetheart and was very hospitable as she told me twice "If you need anything, let me know" This is patient care! When Dr Tandon came in, he got right to business and asked me about my symptoms as well as discuss what I've been feeling lately. He makes eye contact and is very forward in his approach. This is a doctor who LISTENS and actually shows care. He's efficient and talks with you as he performs anything so nothng comes as a surprise. Book an appointment with him today. There's no wonder why he's at 5 stars. I've been prescibed tamiflu and am on my way to feeling better. Thanks Dr Tandon and staff.

He gave me the rush job on my first visit as I explained my problem. When I asked a question he would give me very curt answers. He ordered tests of a ct scan of my sinuses and a barium swallow of my throat because I also had trouble swallowing. Had the tests called for the results said he'd call me with the results and never did. The receptionist was the only one who tried to help. Left a voicemail for his nurse never returned my call. After many attempts and complaints the receptionist had an assistant call me and said he sent a script for steroids for my sinus inflammation. I can't take steroids with my other meds and he should have known this. The doctor on call told me not to take it. The following week I had my follow up he said I had sinus issues and gave me a nasal spray to stop the runny nose which actually works. I'll give him that. Said I had reflux. But the worst was he said I might have had a virus not Covid that took away my taste and smell and I would never get it back. No hope. No more tests nothing. Referred me to a gastroenterologist. Well I got a second opinion from an amazing ent who recommended a hospital in Philadelphia who specializes in smell and taste disorders. I'm currently undergoing those tests. If I would have listened to Dr Bard who just dismissed my case I wouldn't have some hope. So if your looking for plastic surgery this is your office. If your looking for hope don't go to Dr Bard. He really doesn't care.
