I cannot thank Jill enough for the amazing new haircut that she gave me. I was able to donate my hair while there for a good cause. This is very important to me as this is one of the reasons that I grow my hair. The salon is setup makes it very relaxing while you are there. I went to this salon several times over the last year or so. When I revisited it about a week ago, my experience was horrible! I had a cut and color with Jill...just a simple root touchup and a trim. When I used the bathroom I wasn't wearing my glasses but noticed I was still gray around my earlobe. I told the receptionist who could clearly see it and then told Jill. I had already told her prior to the color that area was gray resistant; in the past when she colored me, I had no problem. Jill proceeded to tell me, in front of her employees and a few customers, that I SHOULD GO to Cosmopro or Sally, buy my own color and #20 developer and "fix" it myself! I was speechless! I couldn't believe I just paid this girl a lot of money AND a tip and she was telling ME to fix my own hair! As I was leaving the salon, Jill was having HER OWN HAIR worked on.....so, had time for herself but not for me. DISGRACE! When I got home I noticed ALL my hair was gray; the color not only didn't take, it turned my hair at the roots a funny color of orange/red along with the gray! It was a hot mess; my boyfriend and son even commented and were outraged at what happened. The haircut? My bangs were uneven and were cut into on one side of my hair....chopped into. When I washed it myself, the cut is so disappointing! I called Jill and she offered to recolor my hair the following week. NO THANK YOU! She tried to apologize but it was too little too late. I'm still so upset with how I was treated......MISTREATED by Jill. Who would allow a PAYING customer to leave the salon without taking care of the problem right there? IF she had, she'd have noticed the whole touchup didn't take and should have fixed it right then. Who tells a PAYING customer to buy their color and developer an do it THEMSELVES!? Needless to say I'll NEVER return to Starlit Salon. I'm still SO upset, shocked and angry! I NEED TO HAVE THE WHOLE THING REDONE! So, I'll be going through the Holiday with horrible hair since I'm sick (I told Jill that!) and am unable to sit for any length of time. HORRIBLE experience for me! read more
