The cabinets were delivered late at night and installed the next morning. I noticed immediately that the cabinets were only 12" deep. When I called to complain they were not what I ordered Harry said "they are all like that". Case closed! As for the quality, the trim liners inside the cabinets are peeling off. I gave her precise measurements, and she gave me a reasonable ball park estimate, in line with what I had been told at other stores. I was all set to order from them, as she seemed down-to-earth and sane, and I like to patronize independent, local businesses rather than national chains. But then, days later, I got an e-mail *doubling* the estimate. I asked for a breakdown of how much of the change was based on materials and how much on delivery/installation... and never heard back. It's rare to see a merchant so apathetic about closing on a deal, particularly since I was clearly a serious buyer. I've had more energetic follow-up on estimates at Home Depot and PC Richard, and those are huge, impersonal stores. I wonder if Harry, rather than Angela, raised the estimate, but I don't know. I ended up going to Home Depot and ordering what I would have ordered at SB Kitchens, had they stuck to something closer to their estimate or at least explained the difference and worked with me on the cost. I don't completely regret my visit, as Angela showed me some good options. But I wasn't seeking anything esoteric. I could have saved time by looking at the same samples at another local store with more interest in making a sale. There is something odd about this place.
