But I returned from a 13 wk crisis contract in LA to find that they had ratcheted their prices up by 100%, by vitue of their new 'first run!' gimmick. Crushing. You can still catch a $3.50 movie, but only classics, and only a few are ever offered. I loved having a true cheap seats theater in town (as any good town should) where you could see a new movie for less just by waiting a bit longer. It's truly a shame. You might as well pay a few extra bucks and go to Century. I will still go occasionally, but I guarantee I will spend FAR less money there now at $7 than I would have at $3.50. I realize we are in trying times, but this is just seems like a gouge. Otherwise decent staff, great popcorn, presentable facilities, quiet atmosphere. For the record, this would be 5+ stars a year ago. I was tempted to rate lower, but have to give some credit for their years of past radness.

The exterior is interesting and the birds that I saw eating it, were definitely enjoying it. However, that's about it. I was so confused when I went inside and there was some sort of volleyball game going on. This is just an auditorium that this town uses where they decorate the outside annually. They have photos of years past and of course they sell a few things inside but there's really nothing to see. It's confusing and disappointing all at once.

There's not much to do here other than looking at murals made of corn (which definitely are impressive as far as that can go), and a video of the history of the place, which I found interesting. And of course a large, large variety of corn-themed souvenirs, and tons of popcorn-based snacks. Admission is free, usually; though there are events held here from time to time so check the schedule first.
