This is an adult store not a regular video store. They have videos, magazines, some toys, and an arcade. They also have an employee--a bald guy who drives a black PT Cruiser--which many arcade customers avoid if they see it in the parking lot. Why? Let's just say he's very rude and has cheated customers out of money they deposited. If the owners want more detail--and I hope they are reading this--just go to any of several sites where places like your business are discussed and read the comments. You are losing money and you don't even know it. I would also make the following suggestion: Let's be frank here. People do not go to the arcade to watch porn. They can do that at home a lot cheaper. No, people go there to play. But that $5 is too much. No, I don't think it's too much to expect people to pay that much per visit. But it's too much if you end up in a booth next to people with whom you have no connection (to put it delicately). It's too much to then move to another booth if you have to pay $5 again. And while the machines themselves do in fact start on a buck, your clerk will zero out anyone who goes to another booth and doesn't pony up again. Ah, but you say, by then I have made my $5 so I don't care. Well, you should care because poor experiences do not drive people to return. If you want to keep that place jumping I would buy an electric release turnstyle. Make everyone pay $2-3 at the front desk so the turnstyle is released and they can enter. (It freewheels for exiting). Then, once in the arcade they can enter any booth and start it for a buck. The rest of the rules stay the same: Everyone must stay inside a booth and that booth must be kept fed. Now you make the money, people move around at will, with more, um, happy endings and as the word gets out, your place is jumping and you laugh all the way to the bank. I wonder if the owners know what an asshole the bald clerk is. If I see his black PT cruiser in the parking lot, I keep right on driving. To the reviewer who commented on his playback stopping and an encounter with a rude clerk, I can virtually bet it was PT Cruiser guy. If it really was a glitch, he has the power to put time back on the meter from his control panel. Why didn't he? Because in all likelyhood it was no glitch and he wiped out your payment intentionally. My real point in posting is not to rail about the Jerk Clerk as I call him. I actually wanted to make a suggestion to help their business. We all know people are not going to the video arcade to watch porn. They can do that at home. They go there to play. The problem is the $5 minimum. (Note the machines will start on a buck alone but they insist on you putting in four more.) $5 is not too much to ask *per visit*. But once you have paid $5 you are pretty much locked into one booth and if your neighbors are not of interest or you to them, $5 is too much to go switch to another booth. Sure, the business got your five bucks but greater customer satisfaction would result in more customers. This is why some places rely on a minimum token purchase. But I can't imagine this place making any equipment changes. So what I would suggest would be to charge a cover charge. Say $2 or $3. Put a turnstyle with electric release at the entrance to the arcade. That would not cost much. Once someone is inside they are required to be in a paid-up booth at all times. If they want to switch booths, that's fine. So long as they drop at lease a buck each time. This would increase the odds for happy visit and satisfied customers are more apt to return and to return more often. read more

With so many stars and good reviews, it was worth a shot. Soon as I walked in I was greeted by Sarah who took me on a tour of the jeans section. I have been in here a few times. I have been in the booths also. Most arcades doesn't want women in the booths. I like that they do. Ain't nothing wrong with a girl having fun too.
