No shade at all to them I absolutely loved the ladies there, but the commute just wasn't sustainable anymore. After a little searching, I found this hidden gem tucked next to the RV lot on the corner of Valencia and Kolb, right across from the gas station. Honestly, it feels less like a grooming appointment and more like you're dropping your fur baby off at a birthday party. When I went to pick my dog up, I saw her interacting and playing with other dogs something I had never seen her do before. Of course, she didn't start whining until she saw me (classic), but it was the cutest thing. You could tell she felt completely comfortable and at ease. The ladies there are genuinely kind and welcoming. From drop-off to pick-up, they were warm, attentive, and clearly care about what they do. That matters. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a groomer who treats your dog like more than just an appointment slot.

She took this unknown personality - no hx or shot record - into her work place, and a Schnoodle emerged a couple of hours later. TLDR: THERE'S NO ONE THERE AT NIGHT! Terrible communication! If your dog has any kind of anxiety…read moreissue, please don't leave it here. I have a 3 year old rescue poodle mix with a history of separation anxiety and inability to tolerate being crated. When I first got him 2 years ago he hurt himself pretty bad trying to get out of a crate. I explained this to Erin twice - when I went for the tour and 10 days later when I called to make the reservation. On the tour Erin showed me the standard "suite" which is a long hallway with animal shelter-type chain link kennel and the "deluxe" suite which is a single block wall room with walled outdoor run. I told Erin he would need a "deluxe" suite and lots of human and dog play time due to his separation anxiety disorder. This place does NOT require a meet and greet with your dog. I left my dog at 4:15 pm on Thursday 2/9 and again asked for as much dog and human play time as possible. I did not have to sign anything or leave a credit card. The next morning, Erin called me to let me know that Max had a little scrape on his nose and that they didn't want me to be surprised by the injury at pickup. I asked her what happened and she said there had been a big wind storm during the night and that the morning feeder person found him bloody - he had been trying to get out under the steel door. That's when I first realized THERE'S NO ONE THERE AT NIGHT. When I picked him he could hardly walk. The bridge of his nose was badly scraped. His chin, lips and gums were badly injured. His toe pads on his two front feet were shredded - he was limping from the pain. He looked like he had been beaten down. I asked Erin why she didn't tell me there's NO night staff and she said "You didn't ask." AYFKM?? There is NOTHING on their website indicating they have no one there overnight. For my dog this was no "vacation," not a "resort," and he was not treated like "family" despite what their website says. And the vet bill was twice what the boarding fee would have been - at least. And FWIW my daughter's lab won't be back - my daughter was also shocked to hear there's NO ONE THERE AT NIGHT!!!

If…read morewe didn't have a flight the next morning I would have taken him away from this place right then. I SHOULD have researched this place better, as I finally realized any interaction with my lab was determined on how much money I wanted to lay down, with a 15 minute "limit" each time. Hmmm, a lot of hours without interaction. Nobody is at this facility at night. From what I can determine, at least an 8 to 12 hour span. Too bad if your pup needs to pee or poop in the early mornings... The photos we received during his stay showed littered material in the background during his play session. Looks like a chew toy totally chewed up. Not my pups toy. No concern for my pup to be choking on any of it. Made me wonder just how they really treated him. When we picked up our lab, the reception was about the same. Pay now, here's your dog. No conversation about how my pup did during his stay. Nothing! It was like I picked up a "stuffed animal"! Besides being very happy to see us, my pup was very thirsty when we got in the truck. Never saw him drink that much water in one sitting. I blame myself for not researching more. This place is a business and not a caring one. This was our first boarding experience. Now I know what to look for when choosing another boarding place. This one will not be on the list This place might be fine for daily boarding...but not overnight or long term, in my opinion. Also, the older receptionist needs some training on customer service. Even my dog showed a dislike for her.

Life changing training taught with love and respect…read more I cannot say enough great things about Susan & the services she offers at N.D.O.T. It was soon into our initial consult with Susan that I knew she was offering something special with the training methods and communication structures that go into her Board & Train services. At the time of our consult we had a 2-year-old energetic blue heeler that was a perfect storm of energy, anxiety, and smarts. Arriving from HSSA, we are the second home for our little girl and knowing she's a working breed we tried to keep her both physically and mentally stimulated. We had already been through courses with another highly rated training facility here in Tucson (multiple individual 6-week courses: beginner-advanced as well as private lessons with trainers from the facility focusing on reactivity). One of the difficulties we still ran into was leash aggression and her anxiety around other dogs. Concerned she was going to hurt another animal or cause health problems to herself we were struggling to find a path to harmony with our little one. During the initial consult we discussed our backstory and the current training methods we were practicing. Susan shared the outline for how her typical board & train program progressed and then she spent time discussing how she planned to tailor the program to focus on the areas we were most concerned with. We left the first meeting with a boarding start date, some diet adjustments [we were overfeeding / treating :( ], and a ton of relief knowing how much we clicked with Susan's outlook/experience/reassurance. After starting and throughout the program Susan gave us regular updates on our little one's progress. It was incredible to witness the growth of confidence and trust this cattle dog gained during her first week with Susan and the pack. She transformed from an anxious, reactive, & lungeing terror around other dogs to a playful, curious, and happy member of Susan's pack. She was getting along with and safely learning how to interact off-leash around dogs of all sizes. During the final half of the program Susan went out of her way to ensure life 'post-graduation' was going to be set for success. We were able to join pack-walks at N.D.O.T. to learn and demonstrate the communication techniques Susan provided us. Susan brought our little one home prior to finishing training to join us for neighborhood walks in our own streets (helping us discover new opportunities for successful play and training in the future). We even got the opportunity to join Susan for multiple field trips with the pup. The communication had improved so much that we were practicing public training outings at everywhere from hardware shops to farmers markets. The program ended after enjoying a wonderful meal on a Resturant patio the pup calmly resting throughout (this is something 3 weeks earlier I never would have believed possible!) I am unable to overstate the gratitude I have for Susan's training and the improved communication skills we have developed with our four-legged loved one because of it. This training pays dividends. Keep Susan's contact info saved because even if it's not today someday you will want it. To me N.D.O.T. is the equivalent of a low-key amazing restaurant or bar. If you know someone who could benefit from working with Susan and you want to give that person the gift of a lifetime then just share Susan's info and let them know she really is life changing.
