State Farm Insurance is the WORST company I have ever dealt with. I regret getting homeowners insurance with them. We had a sudden water leak in kitchen. There was a pinhole leak in the warm water line. The entire kitchen was ripped up. State Farm denied the claim!!!!! It's absolutely unbelievable. I have since learned that State Farm is notorious for denying claims. They simply deny them without sending anyone out. They don't return calls. They tell you everything will be covered to take pictures and then go radio silent. Emily, my claims adjuster, literally would not call me back. I called for 3 months, 28 times I left messages. She never called me back. I would call customer service and ask to speak to managers and file complaints. Still nothing. THEY DENIED THE CLAIM BUT NEVER NOTIFIED US. I FOUND OUT FROM THE WATER MITIGATION COMPANY. THIS HAPPENED 10 months ago and we have no kitchen. Still have not received any letter of denial. Nothing. It's unbelievable. PLEASE BEWARE!!! I belong to State Farm's "Drive Safe & Save" program. They give you a small beacon to monitor your driving habits. I needed a new one because died on the old one. The new one came with a card with a QR code on it. I scanned the QR code and it took me to the Taco Bell's website. I tried it again and it took me to the Taco Bell's website again. The QR code is not for State Farm, but an ad for Taco Bell. There is no link to the State Farm website to activate your new beacon. Why am I being told to scan the QR code when it's really an ad for Taco Bell. read more

I stayed with them because it's a hassle to switch. I recently got a non-renewal for too many comprehensive claims, glass (common in AZ) and towing!!! What?! I thought that's why we have insurance? I also hit a stray piece of steel that was on the highway and they are counting that as an accident against me. From their fantastic customer service agents to their phenomenal manner of handling an accident. Genuine concern for you for the people involved, it's a rare experience. I was in a collision recently in my fathers vehicle brand new two week old vehicle and i totaled it I thought my dad's done he's gonna be paying for a vehicle he doesn't have cause they're not gonna cover this. I'm not on his policy no way they cover this but this is how so freaking amazing this company is My dad's full coverage includes collision and uninsured motorist, and all the good stuff included in a full coverage you know and wouldn't you know much to my surprise they covered every last bit of anything to do with the accident plus they covered the other guys car and his med expenses (BTW, he also had State Farm), they paid out every penny that the car was worth, which covered the bill from the finance company and whatever was left over because there was money left over they gave it to my dad. Yeah my dad ended up with money in his pocket after this accident . State Farm insurance company is truly 100% utterly amazing everyone needs to be insured by them they need to let go of any other insurance company they have and switch over to State Farm. We have State Farm Insurance for 10 years for a rental property in Peoria, AZ. This year we had our first claim and it was a NIGHTMARE to deal with this insurance company. "State Farm is there" - NO, "State Farm is NOT There", is nowhere to be found when you have a claim. Do not be fooled by the nice advertisement, they will not be there for you. Once you have a claim, you call the 844 number and you will reach a call center. You can also file a claim on line and get a claim number. Then your adjuster will not call you for weeks. You will call back the call center, they will tell you they will leave a message for the adjustor to contact you. No one calls for few days. You will call the call center again and ask to speak with a supervisor, you will be told that there are no supervisors to be transferred to but they will ask the supervisor to call you. Supervisor will not call. You call again the call center and leave a message for your adjuster to call you. Then you will send few emails. After couple of days the adjuster calls and leave a message to call him back AT THE SAME CALL CENTER NUMBER, No cell phone given to the homeowner. My property manager keeps calling State Farm and now, we get the agent involved. Finally, after more than two weeks the adjuster makes an appointment to visit the property. It was a small leak that was not found for a long time so the adjustor said it was not covered. Fine, if that is the rule I would not have a problem paying for the repair. However, not to be able to speak with an adjuster right away, and to be contacted ONLY after numerous emails and phone calls that is not acceptable. As I said, it was a rental property and we had to start the work right away with our contractor. If you have State Farm insurance, change the insurance company before you have a claim. I am sure you will change it after you have a claim. We will change the insurance and hope to convince other people to do the the same. Horrible, horrible insurance company!!! read more

After being hit by a state farm member who was clearly in the wrong and the insurance should of paid for the damage to my vehicle. I was sent a request from a recruiter to apply for to be a State Farm agent, all was good until they found out I was basically in their highest age group, the breakdown ended at 60+, which pretty much says if you're in that group we don't want you. Knowing that my daughter and I both took the test and compared answers afterwards, we pretty much answered the same. However, the biggest difference was our age. Therefore, if you are looking for a career change and even thinking about State Farm, please look elsewhere if you are over the age of 50.
