As a North Carolina resident, it was awesome to be able to zip in and out of the Peach Pass lanes on I-85 this weekend. Yes, it's a little spendy but it makes such a huge difference to not have to deal with the cars zipping around me (overpassing *and* underpassing) in the right lanes. Jeez, you Atlanta drivers are nuts. Yesterday, my friend and I drove up to Helen taking the Peach Pass lane as far up to the I-985 split. She drives faster than me and we're in the Peach Pass lanes. So I have a note for those of you who want to tailgate: The Peach Pass lane is not a "super passing lane." You don't need to tailgate us when we're already going 75 because you want to go 90. That's not what this lane is for. And for the dude in the red Mustang that crossed the double white lines to get out of traffic? The system knows. Expect a ticket in the mail. Easy to drive, nice to not have to deal with the riff raff crazies but it would be better if people weren't all trying to drive so fast that they're warping the space-time continuum. I have contacted you 4 times now in regards to this violation NOT being mine.  When I asked to speak to the supervisor of the person on the phone she hung up on me.  I am tired of having to try to defend myself for your incompetence and I refuse to put a stamp on a letter denying these charges.  Enclosed is all the information you need including the correct vehicle - a 2010 Lexus with a photo of the plate on the violation.  I've also included the VIN number of the violator's SUV.  I have also included a copy of my STATE OF ILLINOIS registration which clearly shows it's a handicapped plate.  I have not been to George for at least 15 years and was driving a green Crown Victoria at that time.  If these harassment letters do not stop I will have no other recourse than to sue you for your incompetence.  I swear you just looked anyone in the USA that has my plate number and are sending violations to all of them just to see who bites. Lousy. I guess it's the typical government experience. I received a VM stating that my Peach Pass balance needed replenishment. I used to do this in $20.00 increments. It stated I needed to pay $50.00. I was suspicious that this was a phishing attempt. I went to the website and saw the same message, so I paid the $50.00, as it would not let me pay a lower amount. Feature, or glitch? As little as we use the Peach Pass, it will be years before we use this up. I had issues with the transaction. I was logged out of the site, then I couldn't log back in. I tried calling... no one answered, of course. Today, I was able to log back in, only to find the SOBs charged me TWICE. To tell you the truth, the extra $50.00 isn't worth it to deal with these slow leaks. Ridiculous, as most government business is. They bid out their web designs to the lowest bidder, who is ALWAYS a sub-standard vendor. Then, if you have to call them, 50% of the time, you get a curt employee. But hey, it's GUBMINT! Customer service is garbage! Dylan o and previous reps have not resolved my issue. I have been attempting to close this account for over a month and keep receiving emails to verify my information but this still does not move the process forward. Dylano was extremely rude and wanted to talk over me the entire time explaining a process that I already stated that I understood. Instead of stating he didn't know something or trying to find the answer he kept repeating the account closure process as if I am not aware of it especially when I stated the process when explaining my issue. I have never in my 40 plus years of dealing with customer service encountered a person that was trying to bait me into an argument. Extremely odd behavior The rep before him from weeks ago said she successfully did everything that needed to be done to close it and I submitted the info they needed weeks prior to that so there was nothing left to do on my end. Fast forward to today THREE weeks later I get a message that my case was rejected. Whatever that means because Dylano definitely did not know. The he basically said the time window will be starting over due to their negligence or competence or maybe even both. The Peach Pass Retail Center was a bit confusing to find. When I finally found it, I was directed to sign up for the Peach Pass on their iPads. The iPad messed up on me a good amount of times and ended up not signing me up; however, the lady at the front desk was able to help me. Horrible. I got an account when I moved to GA, filled it up with $20. Never even ended up using toll roads when I lived there, kind of a waste. Anyway, to change car info (i.e., new license plate number), you can't do it online, you have to email them, which takes forever. I later tried to close my account, in December 2024, and get my money back. They assured me they would refund the entire $20, and would send it to my credit card within a couple weeks, or if it wasn't valid, by check in 6-8 weeks. Then in February, I hadn't gotten anything, and they 3-5 emails I sent asking for updates. I finally got them on the phone, they said it would be 6-8 weeks ... from mid-February. So the timeline from December was a lie. Then today, March 21, I contact them again. They tell me they sent the check on March 14, and waited until NOW, 3 MONTHS LATER, to inform me they're refunding me $15 and not $20. So they are stealing $5 from me. Cool. They are liars and thieves. They were very direct about refunding me the entire amount. This was from their December 27 email: "All Peach Pass account funds are deposited into an escrow account that is held separately and allows us to fully refund an account at any time." The app doesn't work well, the people are extremely rude, the phone automated system doesn't work, the chat system is horrible. Didn't know app updated for weeks got system down error. Finally updated app. Use lane and get charged. I send customer help. Told oh your car not registered as ev until date after I went into app to update missing info. Told me my fault you must pay. Like I said before app update I was using lanes at no charge. Does anything a government office manage ever make sense? NO. I have a bunch of people visiting all weekend, and every time I get back in the car, I have to go into the App and start the carpool feature again. And because we're so busy, if I forget before driving, a passenger - since we are obviously carpooling! - is unable to start the feature because the App knows if your phone is moving. And unlike some other smart Apps, it doesn't give the option to say you're a passenger - WHICH IS THE WHOLE POINT OF BEING IN CARPOOL MODE! So we're charged for the toll lane if we try to use it. And they've taken away the ability to change your toll mode for a specific period of time, so there's no way to be in carpool mode for the whole weekend. It's also not easy to dispute a charge on your account when it takes more than 2 weeks for charges to show up. If you have to hop into the toll lane for 60 feet to bypass an accident, but it happens to be under a transponder, you're billed. They aren't supposed to charge you when the toll lane ultimately moves the same or slower than rest of traffic, but they do anyway. The whole system is dysfunctional and another sad example of government inefficiency. You'd think a city like Atlanta with the busiest airport would be able to clean up MARTA and get decent highways and fix common sense system issues, but alas, NO. So everyone continues to be frustrated with this additional layer of traffic nonsense in this city that would be so very easy to correct. read more

Trying to get a toll free account for motorcycle. Had a previous account for years with no issues. (Other than the app being useless) Went to the kiosk at L'ville driver's services and opened a new paid account as they couldn't set up a toll free account in person. For some reason. I was told all I had to do was send in pics of my registration and license plate (which they have on file already from the paid account, and it's clearly a motorcycle reg and plate) So far I have sent in the pics 3 different times, and never received any feedback from srta until the email saying they were closing my case. It's been 3 months and I have been using the lane and paying tolls as my commute is straight down 85 every day. There is apparently no other way to set a toll free account up, which is pretty narrow thinking. What if someone doesn't have a computer? Or what if thier system is so ridiculously complicated that it doesn't work? No problem for them... all responsibility is on the consumer. Do better srta. read more

The concept of the Peach Pass is great. Voluntary "tax" to use an express lane. I'm great with that. But their customer service is TERRIBLE. The new website/app is always glitchy. I had to reset my password at least three times before it actually worked. I won't even list all the issues because others have already done so. I concur with their observations. I attempted to submit a website support form 5 times! The first two times, when I clicked SUBMIT, it just went to an error page (photo attached). The other three times, it just kept prompting me to complete all the fields - which obviously I had already completed (photo attached). It could be easy to wonder if they intentionally make it faulty so you can't submit any requests. I tried other browsers as well - just to be sure. Same issues on each browser. Then I tried to call in to the customer service line - 5-6 times so far. What a joke. Of course, my pin didn't work at all. So I just pushed 00000 until it forced me to an agent line. Expected hold time - 30 minutes. 20 customers ahead of me. No matter what time of day I called. And then after 10-15 minutes, it would just disconnect me - no option for call back or leaving a voicemail. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I am currently on hold again because now I'm just angry. So my phone sits on hold while I'm working. Do better Georgia. Traffic management saves lives. You should care more. read more

The GA Peach Pass is the biggest theft ring the state can have. They overcharge people (just watch the flow of traffic and the rate you are being charged). If you get a FALSE violation, they only send it via the US Postal Service (GOD help you on that one; you know it is a hit or miss if you receive it). If you don't pay what you had NO idea you received, they send you to collections. How in hell does that make any sense???? The violations themselves are a load of BS. You can update information that doesn't get recorded so that they can send you a violation. Drove I-75 thru GA to Miami from KY to catch a cruise ship. Travel dates: Oct. 20 - 29, 2023 Once home received 2 statements from my car leasing co. as follows: #1 Jan. 19, 2024 for a citation for $27.05 for taking "express lane" without "Peach Pass". Even thought a GA State Trooper directed the traffic to this lane due to accident ahead. #2 Mar. 30, 2024 for a citation for 28.50. Called toll authority and they could not explain what it was for. Have had other people tell me they to have gotten citations for no reason as well . I friend took issue to court and had citations removed. So "DRIVERS BEWARE" there is a possible scam going on in GA. read more

Complete trash company with a trash website and awful unhelpful staff. A special thanks to Georgia for selling us out to this disgrace of a company in exchange for them funding the building of our express lanes. I updated my new card in the Peach Pass system in March 2022. It then goes on autopilot and its out of sight, out of mind... Or is it?? Now, January 2023 I get a letter in the mail stating I have toll violations. There's no way. I call customer service and they tell me that my account was suspended for non-payment in April 2022. But I paid in March, added my new card on file, and have received zero notifications neither by email, mail, etc. until now, almost a full year later. I rarely use the toll roads as they aren't on my primary routes since Covid so I've only had a handful of uses in the year 2022. But for every toll I used, I was charged "violation fees" totally $80+. I think that's complete bullsh!t since their failed archaic system is the reason for this issue, but at the end of the day it's my problem - so whatever, I'll reluctantly pay it. After more website issues trying to pay it - surprise! - I call customer service. They put me through their automated system to make the payment with my amex, to which I received a message saying "your payment has been successfully recorded". Great! Except once again, it never took my payment and now surprisingly, my old card gets charged $80, which no longer has money on it and has resulted in an overdraft charge. I was asked to send in a screenshot of my bank statement - and here is the kicker - THE WEBSITE DOESN'T ALLOW YOU TO SEND IN ANY CONTACT FORM. I get continually kicked out with an error message like so many of the other yelp reviews state. It's hard to not feel that this is truly an icky scammy company setting us up to fail so they can charge tons of extra fees and benefit from their failed technology. We purchased a Peach Pass for our several times a year trips through Atlanta to SC. We live in TN. A few months ago my son used the express lane and there was not enough funds to cover the cost. I was short by $2.80. So Peach Pass dinged us $25.30 plus and administration fee for basically an overdraft fee. She said because we were out of state it didn't notify me or replenish my acct. Ok fair enough I pay it, take my lumps for it. Now my son is getting a letter that he was turned over for collections. The amount was 25.30 for a violation. So I call the collection agency tell them I've paid it so we shouldn't have even gotten a letter. She said send the statement showing you've paid it etc and we will research. Then I call Peach Pass because it's still bothering me because I have $14 credit on my account. She proceeds to tell me this $25.30 (same amount as the Peach pass charge ) is a separate charge from the Peach Pass charge and we still owe it. Apparently Peach Pass dings you and the SRTA fines you as well. How is this legal? Our government at work. So be aware if you are out of state there are different rules for you. Deceptive, how would we have known that the same dollar amount would be charged by both agency. Another scam to charge us fees and extras if it isn't paid. I assumed this was the same charge because it's from basically the same department. We will end up paying it but if anyone starts a class action against them we are in. read more

Horrible on billing and very quick to nail you on violations that are not happening ( meaning apparently my transponder did not match my vehicle and plates.) Immediately started billing me $20 extra dollars per transaction Nothing matches up in their billing. Its a mess. Dumped the Peach pass for Sunpass until they get my billing straighten away. What everyone else has said. This is a giant scam where billing processes are designed to trigger massive fees for users and there is no recourse due to awful customer service. I have had violations go to collections that I was unaware of, I had a credit card expire and did not know and was given zero notification, they just kept piling on the $5 fees until I just happened to go into my app and see a -$200 something balance. Their website is absolute trash as nothing works. I had to call to have a license plate changed, call to add a credit card, and I have updated my address 4 times yet the one they see when I call is still my old address from 4 years ago. They send out Peach passes that take 3 weeks to get even though they say 10 business days. I called in and they said I can go downtown to pick one up or keep waiting. They don't send them overnight or priority. If I ordered the thing clearly I need it asap not in a month. To add injury, you can no longer use it at the airport. Yes, I'm giving the State Road and Tollway Authority five stars. I love my Peach Pass. I got my Peach Pass in January 2016. I should've gotten it sooner. I use it regularly. I live in Midtown and work in Marietta. The main reason I purchased the Peach Pass was so I could use the express lane on I-85 north to drive up to all the great food in Gwinnett County. It's come in handy the most when I've needed to go to Gwinnett during a weekday evening rush hour. I simply just zoom past all the slower traffic on the right. I've beaten my estimated Waze trip times from DeKalb to Gwinnett by over 15 minutes. It's great. When I ordered my Peach Pass online (www.peachpass.com), it cost $20 upfront. I got a sticker in the mail which I stuck on the inside of my car's windshield above the rear-view mirror. The sticker is the Peach Pass and technology on the road recognizes it. This is how tolls and any violations (e.g. illegally crossing double white lines) are assessed to your account. The $20 you spend upfront goes directly into your Peach Pass account. Tolls are deducted from that $20 balance until the balance falls to $10. When your balance hits $10, your credit or debit card on file is automatically charged another $20 which is then added to your balance for future tolls. You can log into your account at peachpass.com and manage your account, view your current balance, and view your transaction history. You can view live toll rates at http://peachpass.com/toll-rates. Since January 2016, the highest single toll I've paid was $5.40 on the I-85 north express lane. Most of the time, each of my tolls have only been $0.05, $0.08, $0.16, etc. Small amounts. I like to use the I-85 express lane even when there isn't bad traffic. The lane is nice and clear and the cost is minimal. In a typical calendar year, I spend about $20 total on I-85 express lane tolls. Considering the time and headache saved from sitting in stop-and-go traffic, I think the money spent on tolls is definitely worth it. The I-85 express lanes measure about 16 miles. The start/end points are exits 94 (Chamblee Tucker Road, just inside I-285) and 109 (Old Peachtree Road in Suwanee). In my experience, congestion often occurs around exit 99 (Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross) in both the northbound and southbound directions. It's fun to zip past all of that using the express lane. I've also used my Peach Pass for the I-75 south metro express lanes which opened on January 28, 2017. The I-75 south metro express lanes are reversible lanes situated in the center of the interstate. These lanes measure about 12 miles. The start/end points are exits 228 (State Route 138 - Stockbridge Highway, Clayton County) and 216 (State Route 155 - McDonough Road, Henry County). When I used the I-75 south metro express lanes in March 2017, I was heading into Atlanta. At the time, the express lanes cost a flat fee of $0.50 to use. It's easily been the best use of my Peach Pass to date. Traffic on I-75 north heading into town was at a standstill, but cars on the express lanes were going 70+ miles per hour the entire length of the lanes. It was beautiful. Along with being reversible, another difference between the I-75 express lanes and the I-85 express lanes is the I-75 express lanes are fully enclosed by concrete walls with limited entry and exit points. I feel these barriers and controlled entries/exits make the I-75 express lanes safer than the I-85 express lanes. Some problems which may occur on the I-85 express lanes are jerks in the regular lanes not allowing you to merge back into the regular lanes and slow drivers in the express lanes slowing down speeds for other Peach Pass users. Fortunately, I haven't had to deal much with these issues. However, I've heard about some of my fellow Peach-Pass-using friends running into these problems. In the end, I highly recommend getting a Peach Pass. It's a no-brainer. It makes driving around metro Atlanta more enjoyable and convenient and at minimal cost to you. And by using the express lanes, you're easing traffic congestion in the regular lanes as well. Everyone wins. I look forward to future uses of the Peach Pass including the I-75 Northwest Corridor express lanes and whatever is in store for the I-285 Perimeter. Received a violation because an employee used the toll lane without a pass. Tried to pay the violation the next day after receiving in the mail and found out that the violation has already gone to collections. Notice was issued on 07/10/23 and the envelope was postmarked on 10/18/23 a month past after the violation was due. Have tried to get a resolve with customer service for over a week. Finally ended the call with I have to take it up with collections now. They don't care that they mailed the violation out three months after the notice was issued, and will not take any responsibility that they are in the wrong. After seeing other reviews of how incompetent this department is, I fully understand why it has taken a week to get no resolve. Also after every response from them via email, the response is marked as resolved when clearly nothing has been resolved. read more

Whatever you do, do not purchase a PeachPass, especially if you're from FL or NC! The State of GA is just a scam all together! They charge your PeachPass acct when you enter the express lanes, PLUS, they run your tag number to see if your vehicle is registered to any other electronic toll collection/payment system/accounts in FL & NC. If you have an additional toll account from NC (Quick Pass) or FL (SunPass), the State of GA also submits charges to those States as well, therefore, GA is PAID TWICE for the same toll. Although they acknowledge that their system does double charge drivers, their customer service reps don't care and refuse to reimburse customers for the double payment SRTA has received. I can only imagine how many other people they are, and have been, doing this to! I'll be first in line for a class action lawsuit!! read more

GA Peachpass customer service is HORRIBLE, the app is HORRIBLE, everything about the Peachpass is HORRIBLE. I have had too many issues where I was charged fees because their app wasn't working properly and didn't save the 'reload' amount. The amounts to use it have continuously increased. There are semi's and tractor trailers on it. When you submit an inquiry online they automatically mark it as resolved once they provide you 'their' answer- even when it's incorrect. When you request to speak with a supervisor to make contact, they mark it resolved before you've spoken to anyone. Ill planning, poor customer service, poor management. read more

If I could give this organization a minus 100 stars, I would. I received a couple of bills from a collection agency for SRTA. I thought it was just a scam, so I ignored them. Then, I got another one, and wondered if my credit rating, which is near perfect, had been affected by this bill. My rating was dropping by a few points every month, and I had no idea why, as I keep current on all bills. I have not been in Georgia in my personal vehicle for over 20 years, nor has anyone else using my vehicle, so it was obvious the bill was an error (and I had only owned this particular vehicle, which I bought new, for about two months at the time the alleged violation occurred). It is impossible to speak to a real person to fix the situation--either at the SRTA itself or its collection agency. So, I prepared documentation that proved I was in WI on vacation on the day the alleged violation occurred. I submitted documentation via their website and via mail. That was seven weeks ago, and today, I got ANOTHER bill from them. This is absolutely the WORST customer service ever. I am not the only one who has been illegally billed for a toll that they did not incur. This really does look like a scam to me. I will absolutely NOT pay this bill. It's less than $30, and I could pay it to make it go away, but I refuse to do this on principle. I am filing a complaint with BBB, and we will see where that goes. This sort of incompetence needs to stop. How many people just went ahead and paid the bill rather than put up with the nuisance of it all? That's a good way to make extra money if you have no conscience, which describes the people associated with Georgia SRTA and their collection agency. If you have a peachpass rip it out of your vehicle NOW! Last year I was charged several hundred dollars in fines because one of the Peachpass workers put the wrong number into my account and then this year less than a year after getting a new transponder it stopped working. I checked my account it showed the normal tolls coming out and it was only when I pulled up my account summary I see a fine every time I used the express lanes. For the last 6 months. It never showed a violation and it didn't show in toll transactions. They hide the fines so that I over paid $210 in the first 6 months of this year. read more

Customer No Service. The Peach Pass is great until you need customer service. I have had an account since the GA Cruise Card came out almost 30 years ago, without issue. My credit card was compromised and I failed to update the account but at the same time I had set the account up via their site to inform with any and all notifications, including, Low Balance, Credit Card Expiring, Auto Replenish Fail, and others. I never received one notification for any of these. The only notification I received was a collection notice and fines of $160 via USPS. After 30 years incident free, no call, email, or letter. Their automated warning system does not work. My fault for not updating the card but with a simple notification, I could have easily corrected the issue. Multiple calls and excruciatingly long hold times to Customer Service got me nowhere. This was simply a money grab. read more

They sent a bill and I paid it immediately. They also sent it to collections. I called to discuss this with a supervisor. The supervisor would not get on the phone with me after 4 requests. They basically dump you off to collections and don't do anything to retract or repair your credit. This should be illegal. read more

I wish I could give Peach Pass zero stars. They did not notify me that my credit card was expired but they sent me a bill for over $125 in fees more than nine months after the first fee was assessed. Had I received any notification of the expired card or of the fees early on, the problem would have been fixed immediately. I have been driving around for the last year thinking everything was fine as my account was supposed to be set to carpool but the glitchy website somehow caused this setting to be turned off. In terms of customer service, although everyone was nice, it took many calls and an extreme effort to get even some of those fees waived. In the end, I had to pay a good portion of the unfair fees so as to preserve my credit score. Peach Pass is horrible with communication and the customer ends up paying for their incompetence. read more

The incompetency of this group is beyond anything else I have ever encountered. Their website does not work, all submittals results in "Error" or "Forbidden 403" screen pop ups. You call their number and wait on hold to talk to a person who is dumber than a bag or rocks and just tells you to use the malfunctioning website. The concept of the system is fine, but it is so poorly managed right now, it's ownership and management needs to be transferred to a new organization. read more

Very rude over the phone while I was trying to close my account and simply get my money back; also takes 8 weeks to get your money back even if you have a card on file. ATTITUDE from every customer rep for NO reason. Hung up while I was saying goodbye after being rude. The lane isnt open when there is traffic. I would not recommend this waste of money. read more

No customer service always 20 calls ahead of you and at least a 30 min wait . I have waited over 2 months for a replacement peach pass . Only a state organization could get away with this horrible service ! read more
