I ended up getting my Global Entry card 2 years ago, and it was the best decision I've made! No one wants to wait in long custom lines when you don't have to. Plus, you automatically get TSA pre-check. The application process was smooth, and the interview was even easier. Similar to other reviews, the agents that handle the interview process are great. After completing Global Entry application and got temporary approval, making appointment becomes the key step for interview. After waiting about a month I finally got email notification saying appointment became available, I made an 8:40am appointment. Today I tried to beat morning rush hour traffic, got into airport hourly parking lot at 8:37am, went to level 4 with elevator, running across the connecting bridge, then went down one level where I could see Starbucks sign, Global Entry office is next to it. I waited about 5 minutes, interviewed about 5 minutes, took a photo and got out, I was not even got charged for the parking. With my recent experience, I feel government did increase their working efficiency except having to wait for appointment slots available. read more

After the online application ($100 Fee), an acceptance email, I made my appointment for the screening & fingerprinting. The Customs Agent who did my interview was engaging, went over everything pending my approval & let me know what to expect & do once approved. He basically reaffirmed everything I was asked on the application before taking my fingerprints. With Global Entry you get TSA Precheck in which I already had, yet canceled & now will save $85. The overall process including the appointed time slot took less than 45 minutes. The Enrollment Center is located inside the International Terminal. Parking ran me $3 where the garage is adjacent to the terminal via the sky bridge. The entire staff was professional & helpful. read more

Let me preface by saying these and the Google reviews are Godsend! I'm someone who likes to try and plan ahead of time and the step by step directions with pictures made it so easy to get there. The process is pretty short and sweet. I had an appointment the day of the snowstorm and it was cancelled. Someone called me and told me I could come in the following week to make up for it, but to be sure to mention I had an appointment that day. At the office, they took my passport and I waited...and waited. I figured they're seeing people who actually had appointments that day. But I heard about 3-4 people saying they were making up their appointment, just like me. They were seen first, and even the people who got there after me were seen. I was finally called to the back and proceeded with the interview questions (simple ones, don't overthink it!), got my picture taken, and fingerprinted. They explained the program, how long I have to wait for final decision and then I was on my way out. I paid for my parking at the kiosk when I get a call stating my prints didn't save and if I could return. I did and ended up having to get printed by someone else. All in all, it took me about an hour, which was more than anticipated. I was worried I'd have to deal with the parking garage saying I paid too early but thankfully the cashier said I was fine. read more

The entire US Customs staff were extremely prompt, polite/friendly and professional, especially Officer Mills, who performed the interviews for me and two of my daughters. I came here for my global entry interview and it was quick efficient chat. It might take a little longer if you have changed your address or occupation since applying because they will need to update that information. One note is that the interview confirmation does not give clear instructions as to how to get to the office if you are taking the MARTA (which takes you to the domestic terminal). There was no clear signage at the airport for the international terminal shuttle and it was not on google maps. So if you do find yourself coming from the MARTA, you should walk north after exiting the station and cross the street to find the free shuttle to international flights. read more

I visited the Global Entry Enrollment Office in order to receive the benefit of Global Entry with TSA Precheck. It is here that the interview takes place. Prior to the visit, you must fill out the Global Entry application and pay the $100 fee. Once accepted, you'll receive an email telling you to schedule an appointment for the interview. The Process: The process was quite simple. Once you're there, sign in for your appointment time and tell the attendant that you're there for Global Entry interview. Be sure to also have your passport. You'll then be called back for the interview. The interview is quite simple. Pretty much reasking the same questions you just completed on the application. After the questions, they rundown the rules and guidelines for Global Entry and TSA Precheck. After that, you're out the door. The entire process might have taken 15-20 minutes. Parking: You must park in the hourly parking deck. It's roughly $3/hr. You'll only need a hour of time. You can pay by cash or card when you leave. Overall, the process was smooth and easy. I look forward to this better part of "adulting" by participating in Global Entry! read more

Long story, but the Global Entry appointments for Charlotte were non-existent so I got tired of checking daily (for a month or so) for an appointment. I went ahead and make an appointment for Atlanta and made an overnight trip to get my global entry interview completed in my allotted application time frame. I should preface, I've never signed up for pre-check or any other travel identification programs, but the application process was easy enough, it's just the in person interview was really hard to schedule since people make appointments and then re-schedule, etc. The directions given via email were detailed and accurate. It was easy to park in the hourly parking garage and you were just a bridge away (in the international terminal) to get to the enrollment office. There is a Starbucks and airport shop next door, so you can grab a coffee/snack while waiting for your appointment. The agents were okay... apparently if you don't go to the correct window, they snap at you a little.... but I only went to another window because no one was manning the global entry line when I entered the office. Overall the interview was probably less than 10 minutes. A couple of questions and fingerprinting. Also a mug shot that the agent really doesn't give you time to prep yourself. My photo on my global entry ID is pretty horrible, but oh well... it's tied to your passport so you don't have to carry the card around with you. The agent does go over the program and some tips to keep you in the program. You can easily get kicked out if you do not declare the proper customs or abide by the rules. read more

Applied online in January 23, flew into ATL mid February & was able to get an interview and get approved all in 1,5 hours and then made it to my connecting flight with extra time to grab dinner as well. interviewer/Agent was great, really efficient and professional, provided great information. I applied for Global Entry "IN JUNE" these mofo took my money, I MISSED MY TRIP bc of their GD delays and in the end they send me a freakin canned message that tells me NOTHING....or even "WHY IN THE HOY F they've denied my request. How in the hell does an American get denied Global Entry back into their own GD control??!?! THIS IS BS! You call, they won't pick up, they don't respond to emails, they won't even call you back so how in the f@@k can a person resolve their issue. MOFO!$#@*! read more

Can't express how professional and facilitating these folks are. Easy process and totally worth coordinating making the application process happen. Was lucky enough to find an appointment that I could do during a layover. Although I had some assistance getting me to my appointment, i have to say it would have been smooth anyway. All I have to say that with CBP, you give them respect and you will receive it back. These guys have nothing to prove and are total professionals. I highly recommend doing the Global Entry Program. Only recommendation, it would be nice if they had an office within the secure area so passengers can make appointments (during a layover) without having to go through security a second time. read more

Go to International Terminal. Then go to Arrivals, Hourly Parking. Park on any level and use the walkway on level 4 to go into the main building from the parking garage. Once in the main building, go to Level 1 and the office is next to Starbucks. Parking is $3/hour but my appointment only took about 15 minutes or less. read more

I applied online on 3/2/17. Got an email that I was conditionally approved on 3/13/17. Scheduled an appointment but earliest at the other Atlanta location was 4/3/17. Checked back online every day at random times during the day. Rescheduled to 3/30/17 at airport. Checked back again around 11pm on 3/14/17 and sure enough someone cancelled their 7:15am the next day. Printed the new appointment notice, got my passport, and my utility bills with my current address which wasn't needed. Drove to airport. Followed signs to International Airport (not domestic) and followed arrival/hourly parking. Parked on 3rd floor of hourly garage but there was no path to cross the street to baggage claim area where office is located. Had to take elevators to 4th floor. Followed terminal sign, took escalator down and office is sharp right next to starbucks. No long walk. Next time, I'd park on 4th floor. Parking was $2. Signed in at 6:52am, waited 5 mins, interviewed 5 mins and got my approval email by the time I got back to the car at 7:10am. Officer was very friendly. So quick and efficient! Lazy government employees! I tried to walk in 1 hour and 15 minutes before they closed. There was no one in the big waiting room. They said they were booked up for the rest of the day and were getting ready to close up. I politely offered to wait to see if anyone cancelled but they said they would not take me. I read the interviews take 5 minutes. I pleaded but they wouldn't budge. "Getting ready to close up". It takes 1:15 hours to turn off a computer? 3 guys sitting on their butts doing nothing, staring into space. Interviewing no one. This is what infuriates taxpayers. Don't bother walking in here, they will come up with some excuse to do nothing (but get paid by us). read more

Rather than wait for an Global Entry interview appointment I had later in the month at a different location, I had an early AM flight and a few hours to spare, so called to ask for a walk-in appointment. They were able to fit me in between appointments and only had to wait about 45 minutes - the officer was very helpful and it was a straightforward process. We had an interview scheduled at 9.45 am and we ended up going early at about 8.45am. We submitted our passports at 8.50am. To our surprise, we were called in for an interview in 5 minutes. By 9.05 am we completed the interview and came out. The officer was very courteous and professional. In fact he mentioned that he had received a confirmation that our application was approved. We also received an email confirmation before we went to the parking lot. Overall this was an excellent experience. We highly recommend anyone who plans to apply for Global entry. read more
