This location is a hidden gem. The staff are always very nice and helpful. I always find great products in their deli area for my charcuterie boards. The checkers are friendly and work quickly to get customers through the line. Any time I have asked staff to help me find something, they are always so nice and walk me to an area instead of just pointing where to go, and I really appreciate that level of service. Overall the store is pretty good. The reason for the low review is a checker. She makes a hugely negative impact on my opinion of this store. She is always really rude to me. She frequently works the 15 items or less lane. After she rings up my few groceries and bags a few of them she actually, true to God, forces me to reach over the counter from the customer lane and remove my own groceries from the bagging counter and place them in my cart myself!!!! She is dismissive towards me and I definitely feel this is targeted behavior. I have even spoken directly to the manager, face to face. He sort of let me know that this checker is normally great. Visited the Firestone Blvd area of Norwalk and had a pleasant shopping experience here. Where I live, there are no Stater Bros. Markets so, this was a first. Purchased some magazines and beverage for mom, a dental health product, mayo, and salads. For lunch, I had their fried chicken salad which was a steal for only $6.99. Generous portions! Other yelpers have mentioned how good their chicken is. This was a tasty salad--chopped romaine lettuce, slices carrots, grape tomatoes, and shredded cheese. The ingredients listed hard boiled egg but, mine did not have one and that's ok. The cashier was courteous and the greeters at the door were welcoming. On Thursday afternoon, the store appeared clean and neat. My mother in law shops at Stater Bros. in her neck of woods in the low desert area and likes their prices. I had a bad experience at another Stater Bros. on Ontario Ranch, Ontario. The mgr of that store did reach out to me after my review in an attempt to right a wrong. I responded to his email with no response back to this day. I swore off all Stater Bros for good! Done! When I'm in Santa Fe Springs, I absolutely love going to this location in Norwalk. Grew up and raised three sons on the NSFS border. I claim both cities! This was and still is my #1 grocery store! I do prefer coming here over Food 4 Less most of the time because it is cheaper but at times its cheaper gas wise and easier to go around the corner and not a 10-15 minute drive to Food 4 Less. Several stores have closed their doors in Norwalk, still standing is Stater Bros, and the questions is why? Food shelves are not full, to fill a grocery list takes a couple of trips or look for other stores. Big difference with the Whittier and La Mirada stores, everything is available, while the Norwalk deli says sorry for not recría y mortadella, the other stores have plenty of it, so what that tells me and the other customers, Management is not serving the store or the customers, to the point that one has to go and fetch a shopping cart from the parking lot. Totally understand that everyone is busy, but when a Manager is spot outside the store on his cell rather than overlooking the operation what else is expected. Please make it better, get the pride back and service the customers read more

This is my Store! Come here 3 times or more a week. Customer service is always on point , friendly employees. They relocated Items and did some upgrade . Meat department is looking real good sexy it is , feels like I'm shopping in Beverly Hills ;) . Bakery , this is the only place I get birthday cakes from they always come out great and tasty. Deli chicken always smells bomb from outside sandwiches are good . And the sushi man woot woot! Gets down. Inside there is a coin star , lottery and Red box Machine . A gift card station. The only thing I would recommend for this market is to get lil bells for Meat and Bakery department, because sometimes they take a while to notice customer is waiting. read more

Hands down, one of the cleanest Stater Brothers stores i have ever been to. Upon entering, you notice that the floors are clean, the shelves are tidy, and the produce section is very organized. We came in to buy corn and grabbed a few sodas as well. The employees were busy hustling away, restocking different types of produce rapidly and efficiently. When they notice something out of place, they are quick to go straighten it out. We were indecisive on what types of sodas to buy, and as soon as we took a bottle or two off the shelf, there was a guy straightening it back out. We felt bad because of this, as it wasn't intentional, so we tried to make his job easier by putting the items back nicely. Checkout was fast and simple as well. There is ample parking in their lot, and the stalls have plenty of room, so you don't have to worry about getting your doors dinged. The only thing i can think of that's an issue in the parking lot is the curbs, as entering from the street on Firestone can cause a tire puncture if you aren't paying attention. Even though this Stater store is further from us than the one on Bloomfield, this might end up becoming our go-to store, based on our experience with the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. read more

By far the worst stater brothers. I'm talking about my experience with the hot foods section. I was in there this past Monday around 5:30pm (8/7). I wanted to order some wedges. Well there was a lady making chicken (didn't get her name). I was standing there for a good 3 minutes and she never bothered to ask if I needed help. So rude. Then a younger guy (worker) came over and started talking to her. He seen me but also ignored me. They were talking and laughing but still not one asked if I needed help. Very unprofessional.
