Well, I am so disappointed. With the lifting of the mask mandates by President Biden and the CDC, I felt comfortable going into Stater Bros without a mask. Now, I got vaccinated and took a picture on my cell phone so in case anyone ask me I have the proof. I am really upset with a cashier, not the staff in the produce dept, meat dept, they were wonderful. They gave me all the help I needed and the meal I cooked was great because of their help. This cashier on the other hand was an ass, she was so disrespectful. Just plain rude, I have NEVER been treated so badly by anyone at Stater Bros before in my life. I thought she was going to start yelling at me for not wearing a mask. I explain to her what the CDC and Biden said, I was never given a chance to prove that I was vaccinated, she was simply argumentative, and I was completely wrong I am not welcome back unless I wear a mask. I was trying to tell her that when I walked through the door the greeter never said a thing about a mask, she told me "Welcome to Stater Bros" If you are not willing to treat me with respect then never expect me back into your store. There are plenty of other stores that will treat me with respect, I have had cashiers from other stores who have thanked me for getting vaccinated and welcome me without a mask. I will not have an employee raise her voice, treat me like garbage, completely disrespectful, I did not earn that from her. I did the right thing and got vaccinated. I am not going back to that store. I love these people at Stater Bros, I simply will not put up with this type of treatment from this person. Horrible customer service. I went in to purchase Similac Non-GMO Sensitive baby formula. I accidentally purchased Similac Non-GMO baby formula (not the sensitive version). I walked out the store, realized my error, and was literally back in the store within a couple minutes. The store manager, Christian Z, would not allow an exchange. He first stated that it was state law. I asked him to put it in writing, and he backtracked, stating it was store policy, even though there was no such policy stated. I e-mailed corporate in the following days. I asked them about their policy. They stated "In regards to the formula, we guarantee all of our products. So in the event of a product being defective or out of code...even without a receipt, the formula can be exchanged for a "like item". So we will exchange for the same product." I then told them the situation, to which they changed their answer to "This would be a manager's decision. Please contact or visit the store to relay your experience to the Store Manager for further assistance with your product inquiry." I asked for a District Manager to call me. They told me one would contact me, and I have not received any response. I followed up one more time, and still have not received a response. I'd give zero stars if Yelp allowed it. read more

I love coming to this location, I come here everyday always have a good experience. It's very clean and organized, staff is amazing, I feel very welcomed. There is always someone cleaning down the aisle which I love and someone is always restocking the shelves. Around holidays its gets packed, liked most groceries stores, but the team here At stater bros does an amazing job of checking out customers in a descent amount of time. PERRIS MARKET OF CHOICE If I was going to pick my favorite Perris Market, it would be this one. CLEAN Every time that I've been in here, it was very clean. The shelves were fully stocked, and the floors were spotless. The meat department looks fully sterilized and professionally maintained. Everything in the glass case looks fresh. Last time I checked, they will even cut a piece of meat the way you like it! CUSTOMER SERVICE The last time I was at the Stater Bros I went through the 15 Items or Less line of "Eduardo C." Not sure how many Eduardos are actually working here, but this kid was a solid cashier. Quick, friendly, and professional. I use to be a cashier for a few years, and I thought he was doing a good job getting people in and out, while at the same time making the customer feel respected. BEER SELECTION They have a large selection of beer! Holy cow! I really didn't think it was going to cover the span of 2 walls! Decent prices on those 30+ packs as well! OVERALL This market is a big step up from the Food4Less across the street. The many times that I have been in here, I've never had anything negative to say about it. I like this Stater Bros. The staff is always so nice and they have a great selection of vegan products. You know how hard is to find that in this area? I used to work at stater Bros and the produce department used to always have clean fruits and vegetables and the tables and shelves cleaned regularly. Now it has been a total of 3 times I find poor quality and roten or turning vegetables and fruits. The produce department looks and smell dirty. The produce supervisor needs to do more checks and quality ones. Today I got 2 heads of lettuces and I got home and open them to prep food and they are slimmy and have a bad smell. It's unfortunate that the company is not running like it used to or holding the high standards in all departments like it was back in the day. The meat department needs help, the conversations the meat department has in front of customers is just shameful. The department looks dirty along with the employees. What happen to self care and promoting to have the employees be presentable. You have been better starter Bros and I believe you guys can get back in track. read more

If you live in the area, besides Cardenas down on the other side of perris, this is the place to shop for the best quality foods at the cheapest price. Fruit/Vegetable section is always fresh and the pricing is always on point especially with seasonal items.. Same with the meat and fish dept. if it is in season and their is a holiday, forget about it i'm talking Prime Rib Roast for 5-6 bucks a pound bone in people. Staters markets look out for you that is for sure! As to this location, I can't say it is much different than any other, it is not too modern, yet not completely obsolete. It shares the same lot as the Chevron Station, Sizzler, Carl's Jr. El Pollo Loco, O Reily's, and several other places. Problem is, there are just so many people always here and it always seems as if during max capacity, 2-3 check stands remain closed but staters tries to do their best. Stay away during rush hours as you would expect this place gets packed with everyone stopping on their way home to grab something to make for dinner..It is expected though as it is right off the 215 in Perris, of a mainway (Nuevo Rd.) which takes people home to Nuevo and all those other cities so it is actually rather highly trafficked..The clientele/people shopping around will range from all walks of life just watch out for that random homeless person wandering through the store mumbling in tongues... Could be a bit of a shocking experience for the young'ns ;) Lol, Went it today and noticed their Liquor selection is on sale so go in and pick out on of your favorites! This is my favorite place to go grocery shopping here in Perris. The customer service is exceptional. The women that work the counter at the service deli are very friendly and have always started up a conversation while cutting & packaging my deli meats and cheeses. The cashiers are always smiling too. One drawback is that their lines can get to be Super long, so I try to avoid shopping here on the weekends. The store is also very clean which is refreshing change from some of the other stores here in Perris. read more

I'm not sure how Stater Bros has not improved over the years. Stater Bros is the best supermarket in the City of Perris, however, the customer service at this location is unacceptable. As you enter the store, they do a great job at keeping the parking lot clear of shopping carts and the store overall is very clean. However, when you need assistance from the deli counter, expect an extremely long wait (about ten minutes if there is no one ahead of you) and not friendliest assistants, pretty rude to be exact, as if I'm troubling them when I need deli meats. Throughout the store, everything is nicely organized, clean and tidy. I have always seen people stocking shelves, mopping the floors and keeping everything in order. The meat department is always organized and all the butchers work very fast and efficiently, with a lot of customers waiting for meat. The produce area is definitely the best selection in the city, the workers are always keeping the ledges clean, all the bad produce is removed promptly. Once you reach the checkout lines, expect ridiculously long lines, at all times of the day, they have never fixed this issue and the long lines have been going on for years. read more

At the checkout i can see some cashiers trying to get her attention to have her override certain things on the registers she completely ignored them as she stormed around as if she was throwing a fit. Then she walked towards the exit as a man may have been trying to steal what looked like gummy vitamins, she snatched them out of his hand and said something like "if you're not gonna pay for these get out of my store i don't have time for this today" wow!!! Came in for ONE thing. On the way to grab it I saw something else I wanted but didn't have my wallet, just enough cash for my current purchase. So I was like ok just buy this real quick and then run out to the car for my wallet to grab the other item. My hopes of getting in and out were dashed when I saw all of the long lines and none of the express checkouts open :/ and to make it worse, I got stuck behind some preggo beast using about a months worth of WIC checks -_- she saw that I had ONE item and didn't offer to let me ahead of her. This is Perris though, so I guess I'm not too surprised. Ok, finally got through the line and came back in for other item. Thankfully one of the express lanes had opened up so I was able to get in and out a lot faster than before. Even considering that the lady in front of me was purchasing one candy bar with an 100 dollar bill so the cashier had to call for change. It's thanksgiving day around 4pm normal business as usual. Ran into grab fried chicken from deli. I could tell immediately that the young lady with the dark framed glasses wasn't a good day which was apparent to myself and others. Simple request I wanted to substitute the salads for an Italian pasta salad. I was told rudely that wasn't an option. I then stated give me a moment brcause i didn't want to hold up other customers'! While waiting the young lady's attitude grew more bilge rant. The young lady with the black framed glasses. I said well I'll just take them meal with it's optIons and the additional salad I asked what's the difference in price she replied I don't know mi one has ever done this before. I find this really odd. By this time I was extremely frustrated with her NASTY disposition! Another employee tried to assist but I was ready to leave this on on Nuevo and Perris Blvd. I asked another employee the name of the manager which she happily provided. I then went to my car and drove an additional 12 mi from my house to fulfill my order. While driving. Called and talked with Jasmine (manager) explained my situation and she seem to be understanding and apologized for my horrible experience. She stated that she would have a conversation with the employee. Hopefully this was addressed and the employee with the black framed glasses in the deli corrects her attitude. read more

Honestly I'm not one to complain and this is a store I regularly shop at during the week, and I've honestly never experienced this before. Maybe it's new management or something or the fact I've visited the store on a weekend night or at least I like to believe, but as someone with autism and normally loud, which I always am wherever I go I was refused service for being super loud. It's honestly super upsetting because I've never had this problem before and this is my go to store since it's around the corner, and it's honestly offensive and hurtful. I hope to never experience this again while shopping here, I hope it's my first and last time I experience this. Uhh what can be said but it is nothing like other stater brothers. Customer service is never consistant , depends on who is working . The store constantly has manager turn over and it's like they send the worst or the worst to this location. Too bad a district or regional manager doesn't look into this . Long lines, and it has been this way for years. I find myself driving 30 minutes out of the way to other locations AND ITS LIKE NIGHT AND DAY ! I go out of the city and that Staters is AMAZING , You pay too much to be talked to like trash when you ask for them to bring out empty sodas or juices or if you need a raincheck you are told it's just not allowed and you have to try to come back until the last day of the sale. Long long lines , always a punishment if you don't purchase 15 items or less because you will get stuck in one line ,they like to have oddly 2 to 3 of the 15 item or less lines open , odd. If you need meat be careful ,something is wrong currently with fly control because there was a massive amount of flies on the carcus the butcher was cutting up about 3 days ago. Check your items before you go since they tend to spend time gossiping they don't always pay attention on getting all of the right things to the right customers. Went to Perris store yesterday, had been shopping there for over 20 years, but I think I'm done. While trying to retrieve a dessert from the top area (where they have those stupid spring things) it was the last one apparently, it flew out & hit me in the nose then fell to the floor,ok sometimes things happen, but when checking out I said something to the cashier about maybe adjusting the spring so this wouldn't happen he told me at least it wasn't a can. I have lived here for 12 years and my experience has been consistent. Their employee retention is definitely much higher than Food4Less. I have yet to walk into this Stater Bros where employees are gossiping, or just being idol in their work. Including deli and meat department they're always some where underneath something cleaning lol. It appears that for the most part employees here like their job. This is a higher end store for the area not to mention they have some of the best fruit quality. So I will pay more for fruit that won't go bad in a day because I won't eat fruit in a day or three for that matter. It has always been very clean and well stocked for your daily needs. I really enjoy the fried chicken at the Stare Bros deli but every time I walk into this location they are always short on chicken and it doesn't matter what time of day I walk in morning, noon or evening. I had a craving after not being in for a few months and I ask for some chicken the other day at around 11 am but am told it will be a fifteen minute wait until some more is ready. So I walk around the store even though I don't really need anything to help pass the time. I come back and a different deli attendant asks if I need help and I tell her that I am waiting on some chicken. I am then notified that no chicken has been dropped and that it will be a twenty minute wait until some is ready. So I leave the store in frustration and spend my money elsewhere. Tonight when I went to Stater Brothers I received the best service anybody has ever given me. I was in a lot of pain and I guess it must have been obvious. A sweetheart checker named Crystal got the rest of my groceries that I needed and the manager Jeff immediately opened up his register to get me out of there quicker. CRYSTAL went above and beyond to make sure I made it to my car and helped me get my groceries in. Her attitude was so positive and gracious that I was able to keep my mind off of the kidney stone that is trying to pass. This Stater Bros gets two stars because it's clean and new. But the pre-made chicken is horrible. It's pretty difficult to screw up a baked chicken, but they sure did. Actually, they screwed up a lot of them. Out of 10 chickens there was only one that looked appetizing. All of the others were mostly burnt or someone just threw in a bag of pepper. The one I ate was so dry I could break a tooth on it. I guess someone really hates their job and really doesn't give a sh*t about the food they turn out here. Worst customer service ever! The cashier which I didn't catch her name but wish I did. I was mad that I stormed out of the store. First of all she didn't even greet me, she looked like she was not a happy person but asked if I wanted to purchase a bag, I answered yes and I even made sure she charged me because she was busy talking to her coworker. I noticed she wasn't bagging my stuff so I started bagging the items I bought when she was waiting for my receipt. She handed me the receipt which I stuck in my purse then says very rudely that I didn't pay for the bag. I said yes you charged me let me get out my receipt. She then proceeds to say you did not pay for the bag but whatever go ahead. Whatever?! Seriously I was pissed and everyone in her line was just looking in disbelief. I shopped here and was looking for raspberries, there were none do to a promotion so I asked a worker name Greg, he told me he would find out if they sold out or not so I continued to shop, this gentleman retrieved the raspberries and found me on another isle just to give great service! The majority of the employees are courteous, and very helpful. The 3 stars are due to the dirty produce department. This store recently obtained new shopping carts because the previous carts were so filthy. I have had to call the manager a few times recently to let him know the deli clerks are leaving the meat out sitting on the counter for who knows how long. Just went in there the other day, Butterball turkey meat just sitting on the counter, and I was in that area of the store for several minutes.
