Finding Station Store was one of those make-or-break moments. I didn't have much time before my train and was in need of a late lunch; more than a snack you'd expect from a convenience store like this one. It had been a bit of a stressful day until now so, when I laid eyes on the fresh deli counter, I could have done a little dance. - That's just how happy I was!
£1.30 for a tuna roll and I was on my merry way.
It's basic, of course, but offering something that can't be found in the vicinity, especially on a Sunday afternoon, which was when my stomach grumblings hit. Service was on the chirpier side too. Whilst I wouldn't go out of my way to get back to Station Store, I know that it's there if I'm caught short again; and that's good enough in itself. read more
