The produce is always good quality although sometimes I'm surprised that they don't have a few basics. Last week they had no lettuce. At all. Other than bagged salads that is. There aren't as many options as you'd find in the city for brand selection and variety but they do alright. I especially love the "walk scores" they use in their produce so you can see how far your food travels to get to your table. I'm impressed and it definitely affects the way I shop. The meat prices are fairly reasonable, I try to stock up when it goes on sale as they tend to have really great deals. I'm always happy with the taste and quality of the meats. They taste fresh and delicious. Many times they don't have what is advertised in the flyer which is disappointing but I'm told you can get rain checks. Something worth mentioning is that every day of the week they have meal deals so you can bring home a well priced supper for the family, cooked and ready to go. They have a bakery and also a deli, and you can order cakes that I hear taste good. They often have in store contests and draws which is fun too.

The pieces are huge and smoky (you're in the wrong place if you're looking for maple glazed, jalapeno infused, teriyaki jerky, as these guys just sell man-jerky!). The packaging is as basic as it gets, but you're not paying for packaging are you... I live in Ontario and still order my jerky from Meatco in bulk, as I can't find anything comparable here. Just ensure there's not a military exercise ongoing in Wainwright when you try to order your jerky - because the lads will eat the shop dry for a few week period. Much of the cheap looking/previously frozen chicken is filled with water leaking from the "previously frozen chicken" . Chicken soaked in bloody fluid leaking all over the packages. You would have to be insane to buy red meat or steak from here as well. Low quality and poorly packaged. The dry stock is hard to mess up so I will give them a pass here. Minus each aisle always ALWAYS having staff ( kids ) on ladders with carts blocking the aisle, many of the boxes are left on the shelves after stocking as well. One till is all you will ever see open. I have never seen more than one open. The self checkout is what it is, although the staff have to bring you bags ( I guess they do not trust us to pay for them.....) .Note the bags are now done as of this week . So the self checkout is hardly viable anymore. Some of the staff seem alright, I note some serious attitude from a few of the young female cashiers, pretty standard to deal with that type of attitude these days so no suprise there either. I would rather go hungry than shop here, today I walked out in disgust and will never ever return. Sobeys isn't much better. Be a champ and drive to a real grocery store in St. Albert. Save on/Safeway. You get what you pay for.

The quality of their products are always amazing and to be honest, it's really hard to walk by their business and don't buy anything! As soon as you see and smell the products, it's done!!! That's what happen to me every single time!! I love their garlics! There hasn't been even one time that I do there and left without garlics in my basket!! I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely go back there! :)
