The apartment was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. "Not just another temporary stay, but a place you could actually live in." Having AC was also awesome because that's not something you find everywhere in Germany, especially when it's hot outside. Our host was a delightful older man who looked after us, speaking just enough English to help us navigate through Landstuhl. We made frequent trips to the nearby Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, visiting wounded GIs hospitalized there, and our host always made certain that our transportation was arranged for the visits. The staff was absolutely delightful: old-world manners; friendly, efficient, hard workers who were cheerful and treated us very well. Love the town, love the hotel.

Whole room looked and smelled clean and crisp. Thick walls (and/or no neighbors) made for total silence. Our checkin was very pleasant and he offered us each a bottle of water. Breakfast looked good but we did not partake as it was not included with our stay (10€ pp) and we weren't very hungry. The only drawback we saw was the hotel is not within walking distance to anything and a cab ride to/ from the base was about 15€ cash only.

From the moment you arrive you are greeted by someone behind the desk, offering to tell you about what's good locally or how to get to your next destination. There is ample parking outside and easy access to the road. In the mornings, make sure that you wake up in time for their breakfast-its GREAT! A little of everything for every taste. Finally, theres someone to help you out 24/7 so don't worry. If you've stayed there before the Atlantis is a different hotel now, under new management with a proactive approach to customer service. Bottom line-if your in the area and need a place to stay that wont break the bank, give The Atlantis a try.

The owner is a great guy and really goes out of his way to make it a nice experience. They have quite a spread for breakfast that goes beyond the typical bland Euro morning meal. The rooms are clean and have plenty of space. There are excellent restaurants and bars nearby where you can get some great food. I used to walk/stumble to some of the best food and drink you can find. I never had an issue with parking, which says a lot for any city/town in Europe. Landstuhl is near the Army hospital and the air base, so Americans will find the location much more desirable than Kaiserslautern.
