Zoey advertises herself as a Veterinary Technician but she is NOT. Upon being confronted about this…read moreshe has admitted that she is in her second semester (2 of 4) of online school (Penn Foster). Being almost halfway through a (very poorly reviewed) online course DOES NOT MAKE YOU A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN. Zoey was extremely angry that I posted this review and went so far as to claim I'm trying to ruin her business. I want to be super clear, I am not trying to ruin anyone. I just think claiming to be to have qualifications that you don't have is wrong. Zoey committed in writing to me that she will be rebranding her business to make it clear that she is not a Vet Tech but several weeks have gone by and she has not amended any of her info. She also claims to have qualifications like being "Fear Free Certified" but you can only be FFC if you are a registered veterinary technician or veterinarian... so I question the legitimacy of any credentials she claims to have. I am actually pretty grossed out and upset that I was lied to about her qualifications and that I let her into my home under false pretences. She is also very unprofessional and ALWAYS late. She changes her prices more often than I change my nail polish. I even noticed after she was here, that she charged me almost double the rate that she was advertising on her website at the time. After discussing this situation with my actual veterinarian, I was advised that anyone claiming to be a mobile Vet Tech should only be working as part of a veterinarians office. Also Zoey does dental cleanings which are only ever supposed to be performed by a Vet Tech while under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian. This entire situation has my skin crawling. Do yourself a favour and hire a regular groomer for grooming and take your precious pet to a real vet clinic for anything outside the normal scope of a groomer. * Edit, Zoey has privately asked me to remove my review saying she will rebrand her business to be honest about her qualifications. I WILL update this review if she does the right but as of now she has not changed anything.

After the 2nd pet sitting, she texted me although she knew specifically to "phone" and cancelled 1 1/2 hours before she was to be here. Totally unprofessional and left me in a bind ! Then her boyfreind phoned that evening and said the following: The price is now $100.00, up from $60.00 (within 3 weeks!) He said that Zoey should not have to take my Dogs outside in the fenced backyard for their pee, only -1 degree! I was asking too much for their food bowls to be washed out when they were finished eating! I paid $20.00 for her consultation, at which time I explained their dinner routine. Adrian also told me that the instructions were too lengthly!!! They want to charge extra for each little thing that they do on top of their fee! This is outrageous! Do not use this service. By the way, Zoey is NOT a certified Veterinary Technician, NOR a registered Animal nurse.

I wish this pet store could be picked up and put nearby my house. It is the most adorable pet store…read morei've ever been to, it's built on the front of an old century home like a general store with cabinets all along the sides and wood counters displaying all they're goodies. The back wall has birds for sale and a bunny in the window. Normally I'm against selling animals, however the lady who runs to store - nicest woman ever - lives in the back and is able to keep an eye on them 24 hrs a day. In another side room she carries fabulous high end dog foods like Fromm, Hills, Wellness, Acana etc. Lining the one wall is every toy a dog or cat could want with some well known names like Kong and some other ones not so well known but super cute (i.e. colourful zombie like dog toys). I finally found a rain poncho for my dog that didn't kill my pocket ($12.99) and we got free samples at the counter in little paper bags. She also has a lovely little dog named Gracie (Pug/Terrier cross) that will gladly accept belly rubs and will play tug of war. In additional this kind lady puts out free coffee and cupcakes for her customers on the way in the store. Overall, fabulous store!!! If your in the area and have a pet this is the place for you!!
