I called Stealth Investigation Services based on the existing reviews on Yelp. I could not be any happier with their services, it was an outstanding experience. Rebecca is a registered process server in SD and she thoroughly understood and explained the different methods of serving papers to me. She was professional, easy to reach (reachable via cellphone, and email, and responded quickly) and easy to work with. I especially liked that I was able to scan and email the documents to her, saving me time and a trip. Rebecca communicated the status of my assignment (confirm she received the documents, when she planned to attempt service, when it was completed, when we could meet to give me the proof of service). Her rates were very reasonable, less than what I have seen quoted for other process servers. I was concerned the person being served might be unavailable, or try to evade service, and my deadline to serve them was 10 days away. I was also concerned because I had to be out of town for part of this time, and had to file the proof of service. Rebecca was willing and able to discuss different alternatives with me, and potential backup plans, in case it proved to be difficult to serve the papers. This relieved a lot of my anxiety. In the end, it proved to be unnecessary, as she was able to serve all the documents first thing the next morning. All told, about 17 hours between when I provided the docs, and when I had the proof of service in my hand. Could not ask for anything more! In most cases, she mails the proof of service forms back to you, and you get it the next day, but she was willing to meet me in person the same day to give the documents to me, so I could file them immediately. I would hire Stealth Investigation Services again, and recommend them to you and anyone I know who needs a process server. read more

In the interest of transparency, I have to say that I did not actually purchase services from Rebecca, which is testament to her integrity and professional ethics. She could have easily taken my 'case;' in fact, I think many people in her field would have. I found Rebecca's company through Yelp. All the 5-star reviews are definitely well deserved. I needed to run a background check on our new nanny. I was hesitant to use one of the many online services that charge $89 and wanted someone who could do a more comprehensive check (especially given the horrific nanny stories you hear in the news). I did my research for PI companies on Yelp, and immediately contacted Rebecca upon seeing all the glowing reviews. She was very communicative and explained the process thoroughly. I had many questions in the beginning, and she was patient with answering each one. Rebecca was able to run a background check on our nanny in less than 48 hours (some of these online services said it would take 10 days), plus she uses the same, more up-to-date databases that law enforcement use. She was also able to provide some information that I would not have gotten via the online background check companies.
