I appreciate the team at Steddum providing the service I needed when I was passing through the area. Going back home to TX I passed through Chouteau OK and had a flat tire in the rain. When I stopped I found that I did not have a jack in the car. Steddum Wrecker Service showed up in a speedy manner and changed my tire for a competitive rate. I usually don't write reviews, but i felt this experience needed to be shared to warn other drivers in the area, especially women. My mom of 61years of age and I were stranded in inola. We needed a tire changed, so she called AAA, and they dispatched Steddum. From the moment the driver pulled up, he appeared irritated and had an unfriendly attitude before he even spoke to us. It felt like responding to our service call was an inconvenience to him. He refused service due to my mom not having her ID with her. I told him I understand that we have to have someone drive it to us. He then left stating "Im not f***ing helping you Call another company". By this point, my mom was already on the phone with AAA trying to get another company. He turned back around within 30mins, and the AAA rep could hear him yelling. We also had children in the car, yet he got in our faces yelled , used profanity, and pointed his finger at us in an aggressive and intimidating manner. He then try to grab the jack trying to pull it out her hands yelling in her face. People stopped by to make sure we were okay. The situation became so serious that law enforcement had to respond to the scene, No roadside assistance call should ever escalate to that point. This was one of the worst customer service experience i've ever witnessed. The drivers behavior "Older male with glasses" was very unprofessional, hostile, and unacceptable. NO customer should ever be treated this way, especially during a stressful roadside situation and in front of children. It's sad that a family-owned company would allow its customers to be treated this way. NO family should have to go through an experience like this while simply asking for roadside assistance. Instead of receiving help, we were feeling intimidated and unsafe. I hope this company takes accountability and ensures no other family has to endure what ours did. Chad is a crooked person. He threatened to sue us if we didn't get the vehicle out. Refused to let us have our things. He then went on to refuse to let us have our car after we did everything he said to do. He refused to release the car to the registered owner and made false allegations to police accusing us of lying about the registered owner. We had proof of registration and he still refused to let us collect our belongings. He refused to let the registered owner take her vehicle out on her own truck and trailer. He threatened to add $80 to our fee for calling at 8:02 am on a weekday, because he was still at home. We had to call the police to get our car released. They gave us the number to the owner. OMG!!!!!! what amazing service. On a Sunday morning following the 4th of July, we started having trouble with our pickup just outside of Pryor, OK. Steddum Wrecker Service was contacted by AAA to come help us. Holden called to verify where we were stranded and was there within 10 minutes. Not only was he quick and helpful, he took our truck and us to a mechanic shop, McClains in Choteau. Said he would take us anywhere we wanted but he took all of his work to this shop. Then he offered to take us to a nearby hotel. Fast forward to Monday morning. The shop called, said they could fix the problem and would head into Tulsa to get the part and would have us back on the road late afternoon Monday. True to their word, they did and were reasonably priced. Monday evening, Holden called to check on us and make sure that we had been taken care of and asked if there was anything else we might need that he could help with. What service. Couldn't ask for better. Being in the customer service industry, I have very high expectations. WOW did Holden ever meet and exceed them. Would recommend 10/10 everyday all day. read more

I have never used this company and I would advise NO ONE to EVER use this company. I called to report one of the drivers on Friday night (1/15/21) driving through Siloam Springs, AR. I had my wife, 8yo, and 11yo in the car. The driver almost run into the back of us because he was following so close, even after being asked to back up with me hanging out the window asking. He only got closer. I called to report the driver and the the gentleman on the phone said he would call his driver. Needless to say when the driver pasted us about 3 minutes later he honked, laughed and waved at me. I again called (same guy answers) and this time he introduces himself as the owner of the company and when I told him what his driver had done the second time he yelled "WHAT THE HELL AM I SUPPOSE TO DO, I CALLED HIM, DO YOU WANT TELEPORT TO ARKANSAS TO GET HIM????? I told him as the owner of the company, at least he could do was apologize for the drivers representing his company and their actions, but he refused and said "I did what I told you I would do", then got mad and hung up on me when I told him I was a safety manager myself and I would be in contact with OK DOT first thing Monday morning because it's all recorded. So word of advice, if your stranded in Eastern Oklahoma or western Arkansas and love HORRIBLE customer service and the WORST ownership that you will ever deal with, then Steddum Wrecker is your place. P.S. If you happen to be driving beside their wrecker #115 go ahead and pull over because the driver has his white earbuds in is more worried about how his beard looks and gives ZERO cares about other drivers. I guess the owner is trying to drum up more business by having his wrecker driver's cause wrecks for his profit. Hope this helps anyone needing wrecker service to use someone else. AAA called them to tow our suburban. The driver scratched the passenger side all the way down. The wrecker service refused to pay the $5000.00 repair. Keith the manager refused to let us talk to the owner. They are terrible people. read more

***********HORRIBLE DO NOT USE********************** I used this company today to fix a small hole (Key word small) my trailer and was robbed!!! My driver continues to ask Chad the cost of the repairs and he could never give him a price. When the actual repairman finish the repairs not Chad, my bill was $557.50. Mind you the part was $35, service charge $100 and they charged $2.50 a mile to pickup said part (ROBBERY). That's not the worst, the repairman who actual did the work charges $90 per hour and he was there 2 hours, I'm ok with paying him $180 but Chad the guy doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING got paid $180 too because he was there for safety reasons. I've been in this trucking game for many years and I understand if you're not home and need repairs people will take that and run with it. This place ROBBED me! If you don't want to be ROBBED of all your money and your first born, don't use this company!!! After speaking with Dennis the owner he stated my i was overcharged and undercharged.
