Today I under estimated by a lot I pre-paid $200 and ended up with only 3/4 of a tank definitely a rookie mistake and with a number of truckers waiting across this multiple lane island I definitely wasn't going to start over and hold up the line so I moved up to the staging line and went inside to grab my receipt. The staff here was very friendly at the fuel counter and it's seems they put up with private owners while they cater to the over the road guys and in all fairness I understand why since they pump between $800 - $1,500 per stop. Most truckers know the drill and if an RV owner knows the protocol you usually get a hat tip which validates you belong to to the "diesel club" and respect the fact that these freight haulers are working and time is money. This location was pretty clean and the staff was out and about filling squeegee buckets with soapy water, wiping down the equipment and emptying trash dispensers, it definitely takes a team to keep this business moving efficiently. Looks like I'll be visiting another Love's in the near future being my sweetheart gets about 9 miles to the gallon on a good day if I don't push the pedal too hard...

So I knocked on the women's. No one was in there. So I used it. Nor a soul came for the 30 seconds I was in there. I come out and go get a water and proceed to pay. I then have to here your cashier complaining of me using it. My point is STFU if you don't know or care to understand. The was beyond me. I didn't mess the bathroom up. I was in and out. But if I'd had an accident on the floor it would have been an issue. Better train your employees. We know they don't care. But you could train them to act as such.

There isn't much in Cottondale, and this Shell is one of just a couple gas stations in the immediate area. We normally don't stop here, but on our recent drive we had a few potty breaks and candy cravings, so we went ahead and pulled in. This Shell is your quintessential small town Florida gas station inside and out. Most of it is pretty worn and cleanliness is hit and miss. Overall, serves its purpose in a pinch.

I noticed a bubble also formed on another tire. I googled for a tire shop near by and got Cottondale Chevron, it's in the center of town on the corner of HWY 90 and US 231(850) 352-4438. I called and he told me he had four tires to fit my RV. When we got there he backed us right up to the building, two mechanics came right out and started changing the tires. Everyone there was friendly and professional. We had four tires changed and our spare placed back where it belongs all in 30 minutes. I, as most expected to be raked across the coals for "stranded traveler needing help"routine. Instead, all four tires installed and in record time, actually cost me less than when I put tires on at our local shop. Very much appreciate the guys and their honest hard work when we needed help.
