The green apple was delicious, and service was friendly. At $4 a pop, it ain't cheap, but I'm happy to support the local small beach town businesses. We asked what time they usually close, and we were told about 4:30 or 5 p.m. every day. Based on this experience alone, my review would've had a higher rating. However, we returned the next day around 3:30, and it was closed. With parched throats, we sadly drove back to our beach house. We returned again today at 3 p.m., and it was closed... again. Every day we've been here, the weather has been perfectly hot and sunny, and plenty of people have been out and about. I don't get it. Along with shaved ice flavors like pink lemonade, root beer, watermelon, passion fruit, and tangerine, Island Ice offers hot dogs and chili dogs.... when they're actually open, of course. I like to play hard-to-get sometimes, but not when it comes to food.
