Well if you drive a diesel rig you kinda know the drill at these fast flow fuel islands where you can pump hundreds of gallons in minutes - there is no pay at the pump options for private owners so you have to guess how much fuel you need and pre-pay at the fuel counter, pump your fuel then return inside for the actual receipt in the event you over pay, if you under pay you have to start the process over again which is a pain or simply accept that you under-fueled your rig and move on. Today I under estimated by a lot I pre-paid $200 and ended up with only 3/4 of a tank definitely a rookie mistake and with a number of truckers waiting across this multiple lane island I definitely wasn't going to start over and hold up the line so I moved up to the staging line and went inside to grab my receipt. The staff here was very friendly at the fuel counter and it's seems they put up with private owners while they cater to the over the road guys and in all fairness I understand why since they pump between $800 - $1,500 per stop. Most truckers know the drill and if an RV owner knows the protocol you usually get a hat tip which validates you belong to to the "diesel club" and respect the fact that these freight haulers are working and time is money. This location was pretty clean and the staff was out and about filling squeegee buckets with soapy water, wiping down the equipment and emptying trash dispensers, it definitely takes a team to keep this business moving efficiently. Located at the intersection where the highway from Panama City meets I-10, this truck stop was very easy to access with my RV. Wide turns and open access for long vehicle parking. Gas prices were reasonable, if not competitive. Inside, the coffee station was well kept with plenty of fixings. Quite tidy and fully stocked. The men's room was clean. And despite being clean, a store worker came in to mop it up again. He got my thanks for this otherwise thankless job. I stopped at this Love's between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. to fuel on 4-12-25. As I approached the fuel pumps which was pump 19 my sticker on the inside of my semi truck window was read by the pump as usual whenever I pull up to fuel. I looked at the pump screen as soon as I stepped out of my truck and the pump started beeping and the screen read canceled please see cashier. Why did they person inside the store behind the desk canceled my card after I pulled up to insert my loves card ? That has NEVER happened to me before so that let's me know that somebody who was behind the desk between 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. hit the canceled from the inside of the store. Please view your store cameras around that time on 4-12-25 to see which employee canceled my card transaction. I am going to also contact Love's corporate office. read more

This station has for the most part a very friendly staff. The issue that I have with them is that somebody does not do a very good job with inventory. Most of the time the fountain Coca Cola is out and no one seems to care. I stop there for a drink and when I am not able to get one, it ruins part of my day. A bottled or canned Coke just is not the same. The place is fairly clean and the bathrooms are well kept. I know nothing about the showers. read more

Sorriest McDonalds ever!! If the kids that work there got paid according to the freshness of the food, it would be sad for them. Everything I ordered was cold. The crispy chicken sandwich was soft, soggy & nasty. Wasn't fresh at all. The fries, I told them no salt. They were so salty that I could have cooked a country dinner buffet & had salt left over from the fry's. The regular hamburgers were also cold. The sweet tea tasted sour & tasted like they put a 5 pound bag of sugar in the large sweet tea. And the 2 apple pies I ordered, was so cold & hard they were disgusting! Had to trash this food. Was horrible & not eatable. I hate to waste!! Being that was my first meal of the day. It's ashame!! A varmit wouldn't even eat that bag of nastiness. Shame on the employees at this location! This location had two fast food options: McDonalds and Chester's Chicken. The store and restrooms were clean. They have an awesome fresh fruit display. This loves is definitely a bit dated and it shows. The parking lot was a disaster with only one way in and the McDonald's line blocking half of the parking lot. It gave me so much anxiety just trying to park to go relieve myself I thought some idiot was gonna hit my car. Still none of this is why I decided to leave a review. The bathroom was ok I guess nothing spectacular and I didn't have much of an interaction with the staff directly because after a few minutes my nerves were so bad I just had to get out of there. What set it all off you may ask? What I assume to be the manager belittling and treating her staff like crap. I have never seen someone be so condescending and inexcusably rude to their staff. I have worked in many service industry jobs and if my boss treated me or my peers like that I wouldn't last long. No wonder they always have the now hiring sign out all the time. Her name started with a T I think Terressa or Tamika or something like that. It was just so clear how all the staff was walking on eggshells around her and how uncomfortable they all were. Just being around her and how she treated her staff I couldn't get out of there fast enough, it was clear she is definitely one of those super fake people . It seems that the corporate offices have forgotten about the Loves Truck and Travel Center #453 in Cottondale, Fl. This location has not a clue of customer friendly or clean and hygenic spaces. Pulling off of I-10 onto Exit 130, then south to the Loves, the outside look alright from afar. Once in the parking area, the trash all over the ground from overstuffed recepticles caught my attention. Inside, the place was no different. Bathrooms filthy and trashy from hours or days of neglect. The worst ever seen by this chain of stores. I moseyed to the jewel of Loves, which is Chesters Chicken and discovered old and hard, or none at all chicken tenders depending on which flavor I looked at. The floor also trashy and table tops with food smears and other stains made my stomach sick. The McDonalds next door was the same. I really think this location must have lost alot of employees at once. This is certainly not the Loves way of serving their customers. I called a number to complain and was sent to an answering device. I never received a call back. Until the health dept, management, and the employees get back to standards, I cannot suggest this Loves location. Stop by the Mossy Head, Fl Loves or the TA/Petro at Exit 142. read more

Until you ask for a food item on your menu that they do not have stocked or ready for your customers consumption that said customer has already paid for. How in the hell do you not have coleslaw in stock 24/7/365???? Are you kidding me? There are basically 4 main dead chicken body parts that are available, legs, wings, thighs and breasts (okay add gizzards into the food group) yet any and all of your stores seem to only have two of the four readily available. I truly hope that all LOVES truck stops replaced you with a vendor that actually cares about the customers that it is there to serve and you go out of business in a ball of flame unless you step up your game and serve quality food at the ridiculous prices that you charge. Awesome truck stop / travel center much appreciated here in this isolated stretch of highway/interstate I have spent so many hours traveling. While there are a handful of other gas stations at this off-ramp, this is the newest and nicest. The Love's Travel Stop features truck stop accommodations (including game room among the other amenities), normal convenience store offerings, nice bathrooms, a plentiful supply for travel/trucker accessories and of course (this wouldn't be Florida without) a nice little supply of FSU/UF merchandise and tourist trinkets. Also in the building, and much appreciated, are a Chester's Chicken (fried chicken, tenders, etc.) and a McDonald's. Like I said, this is an isolated stretch of highway, especially if you are traveling on US 231 (on I10 you are pretty close to the hustle and bustle of Marianna). In fact, other than the Hardee's and Subway also located off this exit, this is the only fast food to be found on US 231 until you hit Dothan to the north and Youngstown in Bay County (and that's yet another Hardee's at a truck stop!) to the south. That's not say there aren't a few mom and pop sit down eateries along the way (there are) but this is the last chance to get a quick bite for a while. Bottom-line: nobody thinks to much about their choice of truck stop. They want somewhere brightly lit, clean, safe, convenient, and that has what they need./ Love's fits the bill nicely. read more

I use the facilities and they were beyond disgusting the toilet paper was out soap was out and paper towels were out and when I got food from Chester's my chicken was raw and bloody and the gizzards had absolutely no taste whatsoever there was no flavor or anything.. for a place to be called love I felt no love at all.. extremely dissatisfied I do a lot of traveling and this was the worst experience ever.
