We did the Mob Boss room, and it did NOT disappoint. It was just the two of us because the rooms are private, and I actually loved that. We were able to work together, figure out our individual strengths, and tackle the clues as a team. And guess what? WE ESCAPED! We had a few clues along the way, but we ended up solving the room with just under TWO MINUTES left on the clock! Talk about cutting it close! We were so proud of ourselves when we got out. Molly was the staff member who helped us get checked in, sign the waivers, and get everything set up. She was friendly and helpful and made the whole process easy. And they don't just send you on your way after you escape. They have props available for pictures, and Molly took some photos of us afterward. It was such a cute way to remember the experience. My sister had so much fun that she immediately wanted to do ANOTHER escape room. Unfortunately, they didn't have another opening that day, but they did give us information about rebooking and a discount for coming back. I also really appreciated that they offer discounts for first responders. My sister is an officer, so that's an especially nice perk. There are several escape-room options in the Frederick area, but I'm really glad this is the one we chose. It was fun, challenging without being frustrating, and a great experience for both a first-timer and someone who's done escape rooms before. However, we found off street parking right in front of the store which was not a big deal. Our booking time was Sunday at 5pm so the traffic was light. Upon arrival we were greeted by our game master Jessie who explained the house rules of the escape room we selected. We chose "The Precinct" and it was challenging, but we were able to escape. It took us about 60-70 Minutes to escape for a family of four. Without giving too much away there lots of clues that involved math so you have to make sure your math is on point. You have unlimited hints and I think we used about 5 or 6 of them. They will give you a 10 minute warning so use your time wisely. Overall, the room is challenging I think I group of 6 people is the right balance to solved the room given the 1 hour time frame. If you are in area and have time to an hour to spare give them a try. Online booking is the best way to go.

Would say it's an intermediate level room - could be really challenging for first time players or just two people who haven't done a bunch of rooms before. Don't be afriad to use the hints - we wouldn't have made it out with them. Have done several escape rooms before, and was pleased that a number of the puzzles here were different than I've seen in the past. The theme was integrated really well into the room throughout; one of the best themes I've seen (and hyper specific to Gettysburg too). Game Master was friendly and gave good hints when we needed them.

**Disappointing Experience - Poor Puzzle Mechanics**…read more We recently completed the Harry Potter-themed escape room and were very disappointed. While we enjoy a challenging escape room, the biggest issue was that solving the puzzles didn't consistently trigger the sensors to move the game forward. Several times, we had the correct solution, but the room wouldn't register it unless we positioned pieces in a very specific way--such as ensuring a light blinked only once or flipping objects precisely to trigger a magnet. Instead of rewarding problem-solving, it felt like we were fighting with the mechanics of the room. An escape room should challenge players intellectually, not frustrate them with overly finicky sensors. If you solve a puzzle correctly, it should work--without having to repeatedly reposition items in hopes of triggering the lock. Unfortunately, this made the experience more tedious than fun. We wouldn't recommend this room unless the company improves its puzzle mechanics.

We were quickly humbled--but also completely engaged. The experience highlighted how we collaborate, how resilient we are under pressure, and how our collective stubbornness sometimes delays asking for hints (lesson learned!). The puzzles were challenging and fun, the laughs were plentiful, and the sense of accomplishment was real--especially since we escaped just in the nick of time. Loraine was the one helping us this past time and she was amazing!! Made sure we knew that this room was a little different than most others and helped us set up. We even talked about some of the puzzles we completed and she mentioned how the whole team works on them. The whole crew here is amazing and makes the coolest rooms. We're excited to come back and escape more rooms!
