We've been seeing Tami Pogue for over 20 years, and I honestly can't imagine anyone else taking care of our kids. As a parent, there is nothing more important than knowing your children are in the best hands, and that's exactly how we've always felt with Tami. She is incredibly knowledgeable, efficient, compassionate, and truly listens. You never feel rushed, and it's obvious she genuinely loves what she does and truly cares about the families she serves. That kind of provider is rare. Her assistant, Nayeli, is wonderful as well. She's always kind, welcoming, and keeps everything running so smoothly. The entire office is clean, organized, and efficient, making every visit a positive experience. When it comes to my children, I won't settle for anything less than the very best. Tami has been that person for our family for more than two decades. We are beyond grateful for the love, care, and dedication she's shown our kids over the years. We have been with Steeplechase Fulshear for 6 years now, with my first daughter and now with my second. We see Dr. McPherson and on occasion Mrs.Tammy(Nurse Practitioner). I am incredibly thankful for them and all the staff at Steeplechase Fulshear. They truly care and take the time to listen. My oldest daughter has many allergies, Dr. McPherson has been there every step of the way to help navigate our options and make sure that we had everything she needed to be safe, recommended some great specialist who have worked hand and hand for these past 6 years and I am so grateful for the care they provide. read more

Do not take your child here. The nurses do not call you back. The doctors do not listen to your concerns. I've been taking my one year old here since birth and they have consistently ignored my concerns. They also do not tell you anything about milestones and as a first time parent that is extremely frustrating. I took my child here for congestion several times over a few weeks and I was told that her congestion was not in her lungs several times. After a few phone calls to this practice with NO CALL BACKS and a few days later I took her to urgent care and they immediately took her via ambulance to the hospital for RSV. The congestion IS in her lungs. Not to mention this practice did NOT test her for RSV. I will never take my child here again. Absolutely ridiculous and verging on malpractice. read more

My children have seen Dr. McPherson since 2015 and have always had a good experience with her and the office staff is very helpful. Unfortunately, since spring 2018 the care from the Nurse Practitioner isn't consistent. The most recent issue was my older daughter had the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu and Zofran and she recovered. The next week my other child had a fever and flu symptoms, so she was seen by a doctor and prescribed Tamiflu. Within 30 minutes of her 1st dose of Tamiflu, she vomited. I called the office right away, explained what happened and asked for a prescription for Zofran. The next day, without seeing my child, the C-PNP said that Zofran wouldn't help. I pleaded to the nurse who called me because my daughter was miserable with a 103.7 fever and couldn't keep the Tamiflu or food down without Zofran. The same C-PNP had previously prescribed Tamiflu and Zofran in March 2018 for my other child and fortunately there was still 1 Zofran pill that had not been filled, so I was able to get the 1 pill. It's just frustrating to have a sick child and not get the same care previously received. We'll continue to go to Steeplechase, but if a doctor isn't available at the Fulshear location, I'll try another location or wait until we can see the doctor. read more

Make appointments, change them until late in the day, then don't have equipment or personnel to do the necessary tests. Very frustrating and disappointing. Will be looking for a new doctor. read more

I've had the same experience as another reviewer with Dr. McPherson at the Fulshear location. My three children have been patients of Dr. McPherson since we relocated from the United Kingdom in 2017. I recently placed a call to refill my children's medication as I have done every month for the last four years. I was just told that my children were discharged from Dr. McPherson's practice in June of 2021. This was news to me because all of my children saw Dr. McPherson in August 2021 for their normal six month med-check and she prescribed refills in July and August. I'm finding all of this out when my kids have one day left of medication. Nobody at the Fulshear office seems to have any information as to why this happened and nobody from the business office will answer phone calls. We have always had medical insurance and always paid promptly at the time of service so we are baffled as to how this happened. If you value your children's health, especially those with chronic conditions, I suggest finding a different medical practice. If you are OK with being ghosted by your children's physician...then by all means go to Steeplechase Pediatrics. read more

They do not answer any type of call at the local office. Every call is routed to a call center and many times those calls go to voice mall . Its a challenge to speak with someone to get help about billing. read more

The office staff is super friendly and greets us upon arrival by name. We never have to wait more than a couple minutes, if at all, and we are taken to our room (super important to me with an infant). We have seen the NP, Tammy and absolutely LOVE her!!- and Sr. McPhereson, who has a little one about the same age as mine. She is thorough and answers all our questions. The nurses have been prompt with returning messages and were quick and gentle with vaccinations. We have had no issues with payments/insurance/billing. Dr. Goitia (not sure on spelling) works at the cypress location (s) and was filling in when McPhereson was on maternity leave. We saw her for our baby's first check up after birth and she was great! read more

We love Margaret McPherson. She's very gentle and understanding. She remembers past concerns when not brought up. I truly believe she genuinely loves children. The staff is always so wonderful. The office is super cute and playful without being excessive. Always very clean....Seriously, always clean. Bonus is that they are so close to home. We're never leaving. read more

Highly upset with this practice! I've brought my son here since birth & while I really like the doctors & nurses, the complete disregard for contacting insurance for benefits is appalling. Every time I go, I'm consistently told that I must pay out of pocket for vaccines, the well baby visits, etc. Come to find out, they billed my insurance on every visit & insurance has paid every time. I'm now owed money, but their insurance department continues to give me excuses on my refund. I no longer feel I can trust this practice, as I've seen from other parents that this is common protocol. Find another practice if you don't want to micromanage & repeatedly call for your reimbursement. I guarantee you I will never get my refund & will be offered a "credit". That credit will not work for me as I'm changing pediatricians immediately. But please, any office manager if you'd like to contact me I'd love to resolve this & get my money back. read more

I would put less, but 1 star is because the nurses, NP, and wait time at this location are great. My experience with the doctors was not positive and they dropped the ball multiple times which cost My family thousands of dollars and mounds of stress. My child has an obvious milk allergy with symptoms such as rectal bleeding, eczema, diarrhea for weeks at a time, etc. This was not properly documented (even though the doctor verbally agreed with me) so my insurance declined coverage. My family had to basically eat out of cans to afford the special Neocate formula that would have been covered 80% by insurance. Next, when the insurance tried to contact them by fax and phone requesting a personal interview to help me, the doctor never returned to call and/or never received the message. Also, the doctor who agreed that he had an allergy said she would refer me for testing at a hospital. She never put in the referral so after a month I had to call and remind her. By then it was too late because the insurance had declined our application for lack of evidence. When I called them in tears trying to feed my child, the only person who seemedd to care and respond was the sweet nurse. I never heard from the doctor or got an apology. I even called and left several messages. I finally had to get allergy testing done myself (through an independent company) because the referral she put in was so late the hospital couldn't fit us in the schedule for 4 months! This could have all been avoided if people were doing there job at this location. read more
