First, she is the best listener. You might have no idea until you've been through it how many clinical professionals of all stripes and certifications don't know how to listen, especially if you have a rare condition. Jamie listened with patience and curiosity, took all my comments and concerns to heart, and integrated everything into individualized strategies for cleaning and home care. She is also research-literate and makes recommendations based on specific data from studies on Waterpik pressure levels for example. Jamie's skill is also impeccable, I left with the smoothest naturally white teeth of my life just from polishing and the ultrasonic scaler. During the whole time she adjusted water temperature and pressure according to my sensitivity level, applied topical anesthetic to more sensitive areas and checked in constantly about pain and modified technique instantly when needed. For anyone anxious about the dentist, she tells you exactly what she is about to do and why, so you are never surprised or talked down to and are fully included in decision-making. The little things really are the big things. To the practice, please know how tremendously valuable your hygienist is! We eventually decided that I needed a dental implant and extraction due to the quality of the tooth. I was in their office at least 6 times throughout the course of my care, and each time they remembered to ask about my family, check in on my concerns, and assure me that I was doing well.
