If you're looking to get away in the Oscodo / Greenbush area but aren't lucky enough to own your own cottage - this resort is a great option. I've stayed here twice in the middle of summer and it's been lovely. I chose the newer rooms that overlook the beach and it was great. The room itself is very large with a King size bed, jacuzzi hot tub with oils and bubble bath provided, a couch seating area with coffee table, a mini fridge, a coffee pot and a sink area with cups / glasses / plates and silverware. We wanted a toaster and asked for that and the owner gladly brought us one for our stay. The bathroom is nice with fluffy towels and nicely appointed. The sweetest thing though is that the rooms are all decorated in a Mardi Gras theme. It's a bit hokey, but fun. Little stuffed animals, mardi gras beads, purple tchockis all add to the stay. If you are on ground level out the back door you have your own porch with 2 lounge chairs and a table to sit and enjoy the beach. The sunrises are spectacular. Upstairs you would have a balcony. I liked being able to walk right out into the sand, so I stayed on the lower level both times. The owners are really nice, as an added bonus the wife makes a loaf of Amish friendship bread and leaves it in your room as a welcome gift. It is delicious with or without coffee. What a nice touch! There is a large beachfront area, plenty of lounge chairs, a club house, a volleyball net and other games. I definitely recommend. read more

My family of fifteen came here for a paradise getaway and a paradise it was. We got there from New York July 31 late at night and were greeted by clean warm rooms and unbelievably friendly staff. We spent a whole week and each day was as enjoyable as the last. The tide was never too high and the kids loved splashing in the waves and making sand art. The water was so clean you could see your feet even in the deepest parts of the lake and the sand is as white as snow. They also had a cute playground for the kids and a swing set close to beach for the kids at heart. Fin the evening, we played volleyball ordered pizza and roasted s'mores as the sun set and music blasted. We will definitely come back for many years in the future. read more

This place is clean,I mean spotless. It is on the beach and beautiful, I mean stunning. Perfect sunrise, perfect moonlight, crystal sandy beach with plenty of chairs, great decks and 3 fire pits. The rooms or suites on the water have king size beds, jacuzzi tubs and fireplace. Really nice, I would definitely recommend it and would come back - actually plan to. However, I have to forewarn you of the grandma that has been very busy decorating...WAY too many stuffed bears, Hallmark figurines, lace doilies, plastic flowers and New Orleans beads. Baroque style curtains and weird furniture. You can put most of it in a drawer and normalize the place. It is kept up with love, they even put homemade coffee cake in the room on arrival with a stuffed bear for you as a gift. She must love teddy... But even with that, it is well worth the stay. It is rare to find a place this clean and well maintained on the water. The walls, flooring and linens are immaculate, very clean. read more
This resort has something for everyone, young and old. From a couples getaway to a family reunion, it can all be done here. There are waterfront suites all with a Mardi Gras theme. There are also individual cottages and duplexes. The beach is huge and the chairs are a plenty. You can't beat the sunrises that you see there. Their is a dining hall that you can use for any large parties that you may have or if there is inclement weather. They have play scape"s for the little ones. You are greeted with a gift and some home made coffee cake. There are waterfront fire pits for those star gazers. Saving the most memorable thing for last was the cleanliness of the entire resort. The host and hostess are so sweet, anything you need, they will find a way to accommodate you. So close to the lovely city of Oscoda, Cedar Lake or a nice float down the Au Sable River. Check out their facebook page, there are many pics and videos giving you a tour of the resort. read more

Would not recommend this resort, old, musty, every item comes from garage sales, and the owner is grumpy and rude. Very over priced. Would not give this resort any stars. read more

My husband and I made reservations on their website for a two night stay for the weekend of 08-10 August 2025. We were given a 'cottage' as that was all they had left. It was $199.00 per night with a cleaning fee of $30.00 plus taxes. I confirmed with them via phone and also let them know we may be late getting there on Friday, 08 August 2025. The gentleman I spoke with let me know it was fine, the key would be on the table inside. Not long after I received a text message as to what 'cottage' we would have. Five minutes later another text came through. He changed us from Cottage 5 to Cottage 7. We arrived at the cottage about 9:15 PM, got inside and was shocked. The beds were not made, the sheets were balled up on the beds (4 full beds/two bedrooms, the one blanket per bed was folded and lying on the bed. The bathroom had the hot water tank next to the sink and plugged into the wall. The toilet had a tank cover that didn't fit at all, the shower was small with the shower liner full of mold almost half way up the liner. Dust and bugs/spiders in the corners of the rooms. There were no linens, I was told I had to ask for them. Never have I had to ask for linens for the bathroom. The rooms had blinds that we covered with dust, the floors were dirty, the kitchen had crumbs of food near the cabinets, everywhere we checked it was dirty as it hasn't been cleaned in quite some time. We took pictures of everything. Check out was at 10:00 AM on Sunday morning. I went to the office to let the gentleman know of our experience and how highly disappointed we were with our advertised 'Custom Cottage' was dirty and unacceptable. I asked if he was the owner, was told the owner 'lives out of state.' I asked for a refund of our cleaning fee as this cottage was dirty and not clean. He said 'I can do that.' Still, as of this review there has been no refund. DO NOT STAY HERE! Stefan R & R Resorts - ZERO RATING! Although I had to do a '1.' read more
