I'm so impressed that they had so many options for groceries, varieties of cheeses & great customer service. Aside from local meat and produce, they also have a great selection of vegan and gluten free options. Will be doing my shopping here from now on when in Portola.

I haven't had anything I like to eat in months. And it's been 3 months since they've stocked signature items. Haven't been able to substitute. After pricing everything from online grocery stores I am ordering all food and beverage online from other stores. That's a minimum of $500 a month I will be spending elsewhere.

On a personal shopping note I had a drive up a go order and they were out of the rotisserie chicken I had ordered. I called the store and they put a fresh one aside for me. When I went to pick up my order the gentleman who brought out my order let me know the chicken was almost done and when it was done he brought it out to me so I didn't have to bring my kids in the store. If you shop the deals you can really save money! Also the store is always clean.

They had a lot of great items including fresh produce, bulk bin nuts/seeds/granola, and refreshing drinks for a hot day! We visited on a Monday in the last week of June and found this place to be nice and quiet. We felt it was safe to leave our packs outside, and no one messed with our stuff while we went in to purchase some food! They also had tables outside, perfect for hikers to grab food to sit down and eat! I had also just gotten a tattoo at a music festival nearby and wanted something handy, they had tube's of Buddha butter, which I loved! I ended up using the Buddha butter as lip balm for the rest of the trail. This spot also had some to go coffee and individually wrapped pastries as well. Including tea! Overall, the staff were super friendly and this place is stocked with a lot of great produce and drinks, which I crave often. Everything is a bit pricier than a typically grocery store though, so perhaps a resupply here isn't the most feasible, but still great to pick up a few small items. If I was in the area, I would visit again!

It has everything you would need. Groceries, some hardware goods, toiletries, over-the-counter medicine, items housewares, snacks, item for pets, gifts, a small clothes section, even phone, cables, and chargers. you name it. It's just a downhome general store. You can tell they get a lot of business. It's a very decent sized store. It's well kept, and well organized. The people that run the place were very very friendly. They just seemed like nice down Home people. I like this store a lot. You can tell this is a Community store, because out in the front there was a local billboard with all kinds of different ads on the front of it. It was a nice little store and it's obviously a big asset to the Community.

To my knowledge the only store near the area we stayed in, which kind of cool for them. Value: Prices are higher due to being the only game in town. It isn't terrible but you can tell. I don't care as they have literally everything and I like supporting small independent businesses. Overall: This store has a really small town feeling which is endearing. It was Hearty, it had a deep rich flavor, and it had a nice little "kick" to it. Well, within what I like for spicy. The lady in the store did tell me that Larry "tweaks" the recipe a little bit from time to time, but she says it's always a great chili. I do not doubt that at all. She asked me if I wanted cheese and onions, and I said, of course! I love fresh purple onions. They are both sweeter and milder than the white or yellow onions. They really added to the chili, as did the cheese. The chili and a soda ran me about 11 bucks. A little bit high, sure, but this is a tiny town up in the middle of the mountains. I get it.
