Even after moving out, I went out of my way to come here for a few months until life got busy, because I truly enjoyed the service from Gita. Twin Brows was a refreshing since I haven't had much luck finding a good eyebrow threading salon in Woodside. Plus, I got to connect (which is rare in eyebrow threading) with Gita, the owner, who was so pleasant and always made sure that I walked out happy. The service prices are pretty standard and comparable with other salons, but I do feel like hygiene control is better here than at many of the places that I have gone to. I haven't gotten any other services other than eyebrow threading, but this place should get the love it deserves, and for being in a prime location just right off the train station.

I knew I should've said never mind when she told me to keep my eyes open when I was getting the eye lash extension. The eyelash extensions comes in the a couple options, short, medium natural, medium, long natural, and long. I got medium natural and they looks fine, however, it was a painful experience and I don't think I'll be returning here again. The lady doing my eye lash extension told me to keep my eyes open during the process, which Was something I've never heard when it came to eye lash extensions. My eye was really irritated with the glue, it was super red and teared a little. It wasn't until an eyelash with eye lash glue fell into my eye that I got really upset! The lady didn't even clean up the eye lash and eye lash glue in my eye until I asked her to. I left with eye lash glue residue in my eye and my eye has been irritated since. On the other hand, the eye brow threading was really nice. The two stars is for the eye brow threading experience and lash extension experience. I felt kind of bad for my nail tech tbh. Elva also didn't seem to have any issue when I told her I wanted ombré/gradient. Sometimes places aren't into special designs and straight up say no or attempt and do a poor job. She knew what she was doing and judging from the nail polish book, she (and maybe others that work there) can do many different, intricate designs. My ombré was an additional $15 total. Only small negatives (not enough to remove a star): - While centrally located in Flushing, the place is slightly difficult to find. When I entered the building, I went up the wrong set of elevators, so had to go back down and use a separate one. I called to confirm where they were, they said the 9th floor. I went to the 9th but the nail portion of the spa is on the 11th. You can't use the stairs to go from the 9th to the 11th because the door will lock behind you. Anyway! Now I know for next time. - Lastly, another worker, maybe a masseuse, came in, took the nail clippers in the case next to me, crouched down to clip a few nails, put them back in the same spot and left. I would've loved for her to put them in that sanitizing box they put tools in and not where they seem like they'd be used on a patron. The process of scheduling an appointment was hassle free and I luckily got the time and date that worked the best for me. There's plenty of free parking available within the shopping plaza. Upon arrival to the salon I was immediately assisted by Greata. She did my nails and I really liked it how she was wearing scrubs, gloves, and a face mask absolutely trying to prevent any form of bacterial contamination. The place is clean and decor is pretty. Everything seems to be good in regards to their service, color selection, cleanliness, and prices. The only thing I didn't like was the fact they said minimum of $10 tip for gel manicure and regular pedicure. Tips are obviously based on your experience and should be given accordingly. I actually don't like when any business tells me how much I should tip as thats my decision for sure. I usually tip 15-20% of the actual amount based on my experience only. She spent almost two hours on my nails, which is a very long time but she did an amazing job. She took very good care of my feet, especially since my toes are pretty dry from wearing sandals all the time. The place is very nice and clean. There are four massage chairs for pedicures and four chairs for manicures. The front is where people go to get their hair done while the nail section is towards the back. I really enjoy coming here, even if it's a 30 minute walk from my apartment. I would recommend people to come here.
