One closer retired, the next closer that took over couldn't return emails, no out of office email when she wasn't in. when we closed on a Friday and didn't get notification until Monday and the closer seemed very confused about the fact that we were actually closed but this company has been in business for 30 years and has never experienced anything like this. Hard to believe. the manager even tried to say that it was the agents fault that we didn't get notified. But if there was a notification why was your closer not saying that from the moment I started asking questions? instead of 1/2 a day later in a response from the manager?? Seems like a cover story. I was promised a partial refund of my escrow fee that I had to remind them to do when I was told you'll have to trust that I will take of it. Oh ya?? Because you have instilled so much trust so far. And now a full month later my homeowners insurance still hasn't been paid. Not an experience I would recommend for anyone buying or selling a house.

Emails go for a week without a response and their receptionist is frequently gone during regular business hours sending you through to voicemail. James was great to work with; very knowledgeable, and straightforward. The office staff and assistant are why they get 1 star. I went to James because my mother used him for her estate, but for probate or anything other than drafting a simple document I would look elsewhere. It seems like they don't have the time of day for their "clients". I believe we were also overcharged in a deceptive manner. We were told that because of the life insurance policy that we would likely need probate instead of a small estate affidavit and we found out months later that the life insurance fall outside of probate and we dealt with MetLife separately.
