We purchased 3 rooms of furniture. ​​We were told 6 weeks lead time to get delivery of it. On the 6th week I called c/s for an ETA and was told the majority of it ​wouldn't be ready for another 6-8 weeks. They claim supply chain issues... b.s! When I asked ​when can the stuff that is in be delivered​, they said anytime but it would be a separate delivery fee. Are you fn kidding me?!? They lied about the delivery time and then ​want to extort money to deliver what they have​. ZERO customer service. Just bought a mattress and box spring and it was delivered on Wednesday. The mattress sags to the middle and because I didn't buy their $100 bed cover they aren't going to do anything about it. We purchased an electric recliner for my husband's den. it was delivered 9/9/2023. On 9/19/24 it just quit working. it appears to be a wiring problem. I called Steinhaufels service and was told, "sorry ,there was nothing they could do as it was no longer under warranty." Great, so now we have a recliner that is stuck in an almost closed position and doesn't recline. A one year old product should not just quit working. Be careful when purchasing from Steinhaufels as they apparently will not stand behind their products. I am writing about the Guardsman protection plan. I worked with a designer (Amanda) in February 2020. She sold me the protection plan with the understanding that if I didn't use during the 5 year period it the amount I paid would be refunded to me. In July of this year, I reached out to customer service to give a new address as I was moving. I was told that the refund is a store credit to be used for merchandise. That was not the way Amanda or Aaron (second designer) explained it to me. I would never have bought the protection plan. I now live out of state and told I could give it away. It is valued at $342. I have bought living room and bedroom furniture and have been very happy with the furniture. I feel like the protection plan only benefits Steinhafels. Yes if used it would have benefited me. Hard to determine how much of the $342 I would have used. I might have gone over and then paid more out of pocket. Hopefully someone from Steinhafels will reach out to me with a satisfactory solution. read more

This is an update of my earlier review. We needed a love seat on short notice, and decided on the "Turin" leather love seat, as shown on the website. We liked the color shown, and believed that, as a "Natuzzi" product, it'd be high quality. I therefore held my nose, crossed my fingers, hoped for the best, and gave Steinhafels one last chance. 1. The color: Several other items, as pictured on the website, accurately show the color (as seen on the real items, in the showroom), but in this case the Turin I received was very different (more brown/reddish) than shown on the site (lighter, and slightly more orange; what's often called "butterscotch".) The site also shows the Turin CHAIR, in exactly that same color, as did my order summary for the loveseat. Moral: Don't buy any Steinhafels item based solely on the website; be sure to look at one first. (The customer service manager said that color "depends on the lighting". Well yeah, of course. But, if photos don't accurately show an item's color, a competent, honest retailer would rectify as needed before posting them.) Steinhafels substitutes its own color NAMES for those of the manufacturer. In this case, they call the Turin color that I ordered "Brandy" -- but there's no such color offered by either Natuzzi Italy or Natuzzi Editions. 2. One of the four legs was wobbly; the bracket design provides no way to tighten the leg. 3. The brand: As for this being a "Natuzzi" product: Well, hmm. When I found a "Natuzzi Editions" metal tag on the side, I researched further. NOT all Natuzzi is high quality, made in Italy. Those are produced by "Natuzzi Italy". Natuzzi EDITIONS are a completely different (and overall, less stylish) line . . . made in CHINA. Thus, Steinhafels isn't fully/honestly disclosing the manufacturer -- aware, most likely, of how many of us dislike and avoid products made in China. 4. Steinhafels even gives its own names to items. Neither Natuzzi Italy nor Natuzzi Editions offers a chair or loveseat called "Turin". There IS an exact counterpart offered by Natuzzi Editions, but with a different name. (Maybe Steinhafels believes that, if they were to use the right names, we'd conduct some research first, on the manufacturer's site -- which, in this case, would have given me a heads up that this loveseat was made in China. 5. To their credit, the company has now, quickly and easily, facilitated a quick and easy exchange, for the "Livorno" wide leather arm chair (also from "Natuzzi Edition", but clearly better quality than the Turin.) read more

Be Careful is All we can say - Ordered furniture Sept. 1, 2021 and was told it might take up to 6 months. It has been 8 now and still no furniture. When I contacted them they say MAYBE mid-June. Ask for refund and told no can do. What if they never get our stuff, they just keep our money? We are both elderly and would like to get our furniture so we get to use it. If they cant get us our order why can't we get a credit to buy something in stock, if in fact they have stock. Should have read more reviews as it seems this has happened to lots of customers. I ordered a bedroom set along with a mattress. The items were in stock and set for delivery on Sat Sept 18. I received an email of the times 2:45-4:45p. As is 4:45p received no calls or delivery. You could follow the truck on live time and they stopped at Cafe Hollander right before my residence. Never showed up... called the store and they wanted to reschedule for Monday Sept 20th. I'm going into store today to cancel the order. I will never buy anything again from this store.... I'm so glad I didn't order more furniture because it would never have arrived. Poor service. If you want a "customer first" experience, look elsewhere. We placed a large order in the spring with an expected delivery of June. Unfortunately two or the items were not in, so we were forced to pay an additional fee of $52.95 in order to get the bulk of our furniture delivered. We were just told today that another piece is in, but the last piece is now expected in mid-September (or later) and we are welcome to pay an additional $52.95 to have the one piece delivered now. I mentioned our loyalty to Steinhafels and the 3 separate, large orders that we have placed in the last 12 months but they indicated that it is policy and that we are "free to pick up the furniture ourselves at any time". We worked with Steinhafels designer to pick out our very expensive king hickory living room set. The fabric started falling apart just one week later. We had the repair man come out 4 times over a six month period. Once out warranty was up they would not come out anymore. We were to by them this couch will last a lifetime. Lies this couch is just over two years old and falling apart. Steinhafels attempted to rectify the problem by sending us new cushion covers. That's great for the cushions but does not help with the attached back cushions. We asked for them to stand by there product but no luck. We will never step foot in this store/company again. They lost a big customer and others should know before they step foot in that store. I would not even give them one star but I couldn't review with out them! STEINHAFELS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR INFERIOR MERCHANDISE!!! We purchased a new sofa in Nov. 2021. On May 19, 2023 the sofa frame broke--the wood shattered in several places, staples that were holding the wood pieces together came out and the springs detached. We could not sit on it. I called Steinhafels Customer Support and spoke with "John" who was not helpful at all. He said the sofa had a 1 year warranty (at this point the sofa is 18 months old) and Steinhafels would not do anything to resolve the problem (because I did not purchase an expensive added warranty). He was rude and condescending repeating with every sentence that Steinhafels wouldn't do anything to rectify the problem. I asked to speak to a manager and was told I couldn't, and he wouldn't give me a manager's name or number to contact regarding the matter. I told him that at least I wanted them to come and pick up the broken, unusable sofa. Again he refused. Several times he stated that he didn't care what I wanted and that Steinhafels would not do anything to rectify the problem. I didn't purchase a warranty with the sofa because of past experience with Steinhafels not honoring warranties either (they will come up with a lame excuse that voids the warranty). I also read another complaint about the Guardsman warranty rebate. (If you don't use it, they will give you a store credit in the amount you paid for the warranty.) When I realized the warranty I purchased and did not use was due to expire, I called to find out about it, they said the warranty rebate offer had already expired and that they mailed a notice to me that the warranty was up and I could get my refund. However I did not receive a notice and they wouldn't honor it even though I had the paperwork to prove the purchase. We have purchased thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from Steinhafels over the years, but never again!!! read more

I too have become A victim of their sneaky sales tactics. They sold me on the extended warranty with the money back guarantee. Redeem in 5 years and you will not loose your money. When I try to redeem I am told oh that is expired now. Asked ... how would I know that. Told .. Well you got a notice in the mail. It looks like something one would probably throw away. But hey. Purchased new queen size Beauty rest mattress and EASE adjustable bed frame in March 2023. Due to extended illness was not using bed until recently May 2023. Realized bed frame is too high off the floor as I struggle to get in and out. I am short and old. Called customer service to arrange for service to come out and lower the frame. They were unable to send anyone for this type of service. Bed is too large and heavy for me to lift and no relatives in area to help as they suggested. Referred me to VIP service as we purchased a warranty on the frame. VIP explained warranty only covered repair or defects. Advised to call Steinhafels back and request voluntary service call at their expense. Well that didn't happen. I then told their service department I wanted to return the mattress as it was under the 120 day return policy! And guess what? I was told that was invalid because I didn't purchase "a protective cover" for it at the time of sale! WHAT? Was never told about such a purchase at the time of sale and there is nothing on the receipt stating this information. Sure wish I was a lawyer, would take them to court over this issue! Such poor customer service. Surely they could have arranged for their delivery team to stop in the next time they would be in my area. Offered to pay for this service. I had an AWFUL experience at the Menomonee Falls store yesterday, on November 17th, 2022. We were looking for a mattress and also had seen a fireplace unit in August, 2022 that we intended on purchasing now that our lower level was completed. Our salesperson, Gerry Schneider was excellent in showing us mattresses. Then it came to going to the fireplace unit that I had seen in August. The price on it was $499 (I have the picture of the tag). The new price tag was "LAST ONE" with a Compare at price of $1999.95 (crossed out) and a new price of $1,198,82. When I asked my salesperson he said that he I would have to speak to the manager. The manager came, and I showed him the picture I had of the same unit at the $499 price. He looked and stated that it was because of inflation. What an insult. That would mean that the new price is 240% of the price 3 months ago. He did not apologize or make any offer of a reduced price. I left and today I spoke with a customer service- rep (John)and again there was only the explanation of inflation. This is actually price gouging!! Needless to say, I cancelled my mattress order and will go elsewhere--to a business with integrity. I will NEVER walk into a Steinhaefels again and will warn people of their lact of ethics and integrity!! read more

If I could have given them a negative star I would have. We had our king size mattress for a little over 12 months when the mattress started sagging. I contacted the store and they gave me a credit of $711 towards a new mattress. My husband and I went to get a new replacement mattress and we found out that they were not willing to honor their warranty on the mattress! As a matter of fact, they expected us to pay well over the $711 credit. On top of that, they wanted us to pay $139 to deliver our new mattress. We told them to forget it and that we would take our business elsewhere! Buyer beware!!!! In the past 2 months have purchased the following: queen mattress & box spring (Simmons Platinum Plush), 3-piece leather sectional sofa, 2 leather chairs with ottomans. Negotiated prices down a bit and when they went on sale even more the salesperson credited us the lower price. Delivery went well - on time, clean, friendly. In other words they did what they were supposed to do and did it well. Every time I have been to Steinhafels with or without purchasing something it has gone well and I have been treated well by the sales staff. read more

We purchased a loveseat power recliner in September. It took 6 weeks for delivery. In February the left side of it stopped working. Luckily it was closed. We tipped the loveseat over and saw that the power cord is severely pinched in a hinge. I called for repair and was told I'd receive a call 2 days prior to find out a time. No one called and I missed someone coming to the house. Come to find out, they emailed me the day before. Now I've rescheduled, the repair guy is supposed to come and look at the loveseat to determine what is wrong. Hello! The power cord is pinched. After he comes to see that for himself, he'll have to order a replacement cord and come back AGAIN! I'm not going back to Steinhafels. And I won't recommend them either. read more

A couple apartment moves ago, I received my large deposit back. When faced with what to do with the large sum, I figured that I needed some new furniture. At this point, new furniture became essential when I was using a dresser from decades ago that had been painted over and truly began falling apart. I really was in desperate need of some nice, sturdy furniture. Steinhafel's was the destination for furniture. At this particular store, we focused on the clearance section. There was a lot of child's bedroom furniture and some name brand pieces that were okay, but not spectacular. While perusing this section, we located two nice dressers and a nightstand. The furniture is solid wood, lightly colored, and nice. By the time the delivery and handling fees were added up with the furniture, it came to around $1000. The price is extremely reasonable for the amount of furniture and quality. When it was delivered to my parents' house, my mom noticed some flaws. They readily replaced them and ensured customer satisfaction. The pieces sit in my bedroom today and are wonderful. I highly recommend Steinhafels for furniture needs. We had great customer service and quality. read more

The Menomonee Falls location has superior sales staff and management. They are willing to work with you and they always want to make everything right. The furniture manufacturer that I had chosen was subpar and the furniture had many fabric and structural issues. We right away called for a tech to come out and take a look. The gentleman took pictures and reported back to the store management. The same day the tech came out I went into the store and spoke with the manager. The store manager was very understanding and worked with us to choose another grouping in our price point. We are happy customers and we are so pleased that the staff at the Menomonee Falls location were patient in giving us time to make decisions we needed to. Thank you all again-we are looking forward to taking delivery on our furniture. read more

Awful customer service. Rude and arrogant. We needed the lowest height mattress possible of which the salesman was aware. Even discussed the necessity of cutting 2-3 inches off of the head/footboards based on new mattress thicknesses. We were never offered a low profile box spring and only found out about it 2 days after delivery from an ad on TV. Called and wanted to order one but have it be delivered at N/C as it was not offered but would have been purchased immediately had the salesman done his job in offering it. Everything would have been delivered in the same truck with 1 charge. They accused me of deciding that I needed it after getting the mattress and trying to force them in to free delivery. NOT THE CASE! Poor sales job. Poor customer service. I have lots of new furniture left in my life, but not 1 dime will go to Steinhafels. 2 pc. sectional was ripping at seams in less than 2 months. We were told no warranty and they said it was due to neglect! Very poor construction. You rest your arm on a cushion and it splits-literally. Has now 2 huge holes, hollow arm that caves when you rest your arm on it, leg is falling off, and cushions are sagging terribly. Does this sound like the mattress-buying experience you are looking for? 1-You spend $1,100 at Steinhafels 2- You used No coupons or discounts (the prices you paid have pretty much been the same overall for months as you've been in the store mulling your options multiple times). 3- You were promised your mattress in 10 days, and as of Saturday it will be 15. 4- You've been sleeping on a couch for all of those 15 nights. 5- You got so frustrated that you check your order on Steinhafels website and then YOU the customer, had to notify the store that their own website says your mattress is ready for delivery. 6- Rather than offer you even a paltry 5% discount on your mattress firall of the inconveniences they have causedyou, they instead offer only a "voucher" that likely has a thousand stipulations and "not good towards" statements as ANOTHER CHANCE TO MESS UP AN ORDER by offering a $50 courtesy voucher ... at a store where ALMOST NOTHING costs less than $50 (except clearance junk someone else already used and returned). This mattress was going to be a "test run" prior to replacing the 3 other king size mattresses in our other 3 bedrooms at a cost of nearly $3,500. This company has extremely poor customer service and no regard for their customers. We purchased a bunk bed package and waited a week for delivery. You can imagine our disappointment when the bed was delivered and we were told that the salesperson had forgotten to include the side and stairs in our order. The options we were offered were to either go into the store, pay an additional 250.00 for the bed and reschedule delivery or cancel the order. As the manager, Robert Hollers, said "it's your choice." There was no apology and our 7 year old was left with no bed to sleep in for the night as we had taken her old bed down in preparation for the new one. Needless to say, we cancelled our order. We were loyal repeat customers but will never do business with them again. I caution anyone who considers purchasing from this company. I have purchased many items from Steinhafels and over the years their quality of their furniture have went down extremely. I purchased a table from them and within a month the wood table was cracking. The table was replaced and 7 months later I am back for an extreme amount of cracking. I also purchased a mattress that is now sinking in! Steinhafels will never get another dime from me as they do nothing to assist their customers. read more

Steinhafels has horrendous customer service. They delivered new furniture with damaged corners and broken hinges. Steinhafels' customer service refused to pick up and replace the damaged furniture. The damages were no fault of the customer. To receive replacement, Steinhafels requires the customer to bring back the furniture to the store location - even if it is not possible based on size. Steinhafels takes no responsibility for damaged furniture. At least credit cards protect consumers from companies like Stienhafels. read more

Ordered 2 sofas, a chair, 2 end tables and a cocktail table. On the first delivery, I had to reject the entire load as 4 out of the 6 pieces showed damage. On the second delivery, Steinhafel's delivered the exact same damaged sofa, end table, and cocktail table. On the third attempt, the day after the second, the first piece in the door was a chair with a broken arm. I stopped the crew at that point and refused the whole lot. Several days later, I am still waiting for the refund that was promised by the customer service representative. read more

First let me say that I thought Steinhafels was one of the better quality furniture stores in the area and I have purchased from them before and been pleased - with that said, my last experience was bad enough to trump any positive experience I may have had before. Purchased 8 bar stools. When they showed up 6 of the 8 were delivered with broken and cracked arms / scratches from the delivery and two that don't turn. They tried to fix them (as if I wanted defective / previously broken bar stools) and could only fix the turning and some of the scratches. Then they offer to sell me floor models at 15% off for three of the broken ones and 25% off for the other broken ones - to be my problem and I would accept as is.... No Thank You, $200 / bar stool is not a good price for broken bar stools. Sending them all back and NEVER shopping at your store again. Oh, and using this cool thing called the world wide web to tell everyone I know how bad my experience was at your company. Customer service was awful. They never even apologized for shipping broken furniture and took forever to call us back with some sort of response / solution. The only positive I have is that you are taking your broken bar stools back and are returning my delivery charge too. Three weeks of hassle for nothing. Now I have to go find new bar stools. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! The staff are rude and very unprofessional. It took over 2 1/2 months to get my furniture. I was told several different dates and when it was suppose to be delivered it was suppose to be next day and it wasn't, instead it was delivered a week after it arrived at the store. I would have been fine with that had I not been promised next day delivery. Once it was finally delivered it was not installed correctly. A week later another set of delivery men come (horrible people) to install it correctly and when I question them about it not being correct they got frustrated and started throwing my furniture around and break it. I am now left with broken furniture waiting for replacements. I have reached out to corporate customer service and the store manager with no return calls or follow up.
