    So many negative reviews but no issues for us! Purchased two separate sets of couches over the last several months. Both times we visited Steinhafels our experience with the sales people and service were outstanding! One little issue with the wedge section in the sectional. They quickly delivered a new one and picked up the old one. Time will tell how the furniture holds up but so far so good!

    Damaged furniture

    I bought a wine cabinet and after unboxing the top left corner was cracked significantly. This was not a clearance item, but was the last one they had, and Steinhafels could not replace. Steinhafels offered a 12% refund or told me I could return it (with a $75 restock fee). Terrible customer service to make me pay for damage I had no control over. I will never use them again or recommend to anyone based on my experience. Also beware, delivery costs are very high, industry standard is free delivery.

    Thank you to Joe and Taylor! Amazing customer service! Found beautiful dining chair on clearance at Vernon Hills store but did not want to purchase just one. Store associate noted one at this location. Called main number and they sent an email to the store. Joe contacted me back and after some digging confirmed that they had the matching chair. So incredibly kind, thoughtful and attentive. Highly recommend

    Poor quality shopko bar stool assembly required . Krooked holes don't line up so side rails slopes downward.  This is dangerous!

    Buyer beware! This is not the same Steinhafel's we grew up with. Quality is compromised and they advertise clearance prices because they purchased some things from Shopko, who went out of business. Purchased 4 bar stools and was told they were assembled, when I got the dock after purchasing (restocking fee if you return), I see the box says "Shopko" made in Malasia. Had furniture from the 90's that's still holding on but I don't believe that to be the case with this way of business. 3 of the 4 chairs cannot be properly assembled as holes were mis drilled at Factory which is a hazard of breaking and could cause serious injury if Collapsed.

    Queen bed frame broke because installation crew used this pathetic screw to support  a box spring, mattress, and two people.

    Here's your warning to not give this company your money. Bought a Queen guest bed and the frame broke because the installation crew used the pathetic screw pictured below. This screw is meant to support the weight of a box spring, mattress, and two people!? My mind is blown. Called customer service to make the situation right again. Response "*sigh* There's nothing we can do you're a few days past the delivery date. You have to fix it yourself." Absolutely ridiculous to give a company $2000 and they can't even use the appropriate hardware much less make the situation right after our guests had to sleep on the couch.

    Leans almost to floor on the right side.  I weigh 185, got worse every day, little by little only a few months old.

    BEWARE OF STEINHAFEL'S FURNITURE - ESPECIALLY IF YOU BUY IT AS IS... SUCKS! Please review the letter I sent all them members of the Steinhafel family below, the are key contacts for the business names, Steinhafels Furniture. Please note that I did not hear, nor was I contacted by any of them. I guess, just a simple acknowledgement of my letter that I sent on February 22, 2020 via US mail would have made me feel like Steinhafels at least cared about what I had to say... but out of 3 Steinhafels, I received zero replies. I need to let other beware not to let happen, what happened to me and my family. Photo and invoice attached. ORIGINAL LETTER TO STEINHAFEL'S BELOW... PLEASE READ! THEY ARE AVOIDING ME FOR $240! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- February 22, 2020 Steinhafels Furniture Gary Steinhafel, President Steve Steinhafel, Mgr. CS Tom Steinhafel, Store Mgr. W231 N1013 County Hwy F Waukesha, WI 53186 Dear Mr. Steinhafel, On November 17, 2020, my wife and I bought $2,100 worth of furniture from your superstore. Unfortunately, approximately three months later, the recliner is broken and looks like something that should be sitting out on the curb of a road outside of a trashy trailer park (photos enclosed). We bought all of the furniture from your clearance department, and all items sold "as-is" because it was an open box item, we thought no matter what, this was a great deal because Steinhafels only sells quality. Steinhafels is a good name in the furniture business, so it was a no-brainer to take advantage of the discounted furniture knowing the terms. But 3-months later for the footrest to be broken down, this is ridiculous. This does not appear to be something Steinhafels would sell in their high-end stores. The sectional couch we purchased has no issues, and this is where my wife and 17-year-old daughter sit, an as-well-as company that visits. I'm the only one that sits on the recliner, and even at this, I only sit on it for 2-4 hours maximum per night. I am 180 lbs and am very neat and respectful of my property; everything needs to be in order, meaning that this chair should not be damaged as it is; there is no reason. Each night my family said, "it looks like the footrest is crooked," and every night, they would say the same, "it looks like it's getting worse." My wife called for service, but I told her that this would probably happen again and I don't need the aggravation, this is really upsetting to me. We still need to get service because this is a total embarrassment if anybody would see it. Either that, or throw it in the garbage, but what a-shame this would be, a three month old piece of Steinhafels of furniture in the garbage? On Saturday, February 22, 2020, I called Steinhafels Customer Service and explained my predicament, only to hear the representative (John) tell me that, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do, it was sold as-is, and there's nothing that can be done. He added that the recliner was already 3-months old, and that's what we bought. The recliner cost was $249.00, but whatever the cost, you would never think that you would get such a poorly made product from Steinhafels, and maybe if your customer service person wouldn't had shut me down so quickly, I may have felt a little valued as a customer. I never raised my voice and I was totally professional, if you record these calls, you will see. I called at 10:46 on Saturday, February 22nd. I asked to speak with a manager, and John stated that the manager couldn't do anything either, and would not get the manager for me. I even offered to purchase another chair from Steinhafels, one that was not "as-is," and again, John said that this still wouldn't make a difference and that the chair is ours and there is nothing more he can do. If this happened in 3-years after purchase, then I could digest this a little easier, but this has been 3-months I attached photos, and the invoice, I'm asking you that under the circumstances that you help me with this, I just can't get over that we got 3-months out of the chair and now it's trash. Again, something I would never expect from Steinhafels, it is obviously defective, maybe so many people sat on it in your showroom, I don't know, but this is not right, "as-is" or "not as-is." I'm just sick over this. Can you please help us? John already told me to have a wonderful day, very sarcastically, before we ended our conversation. I'm hoping to hear from you, and I'm hoping that you will take this entire nightmare into consideration. Thank you, Frank Pipia PS.... I believe the chair I received may have already been broke when it was returned by the first customer before it was put in your clearance section. The chair could have been temporarily repaired just enough to hold. There is no way this damage would have happened so quickly... Avoiding customers is really unprofessional, and does not put you in a good light!

    8 months with a sectional stuck in recline.   Steinhafels says it's my problem to workout with their partner.

    I would like to update my review. I did have the sofa redone at your shop. We discussed ad nauseam…read morethat it would be a comfortable soft sofa and that the velvet would not attract as much dust and lint as it does. You said it was specifically a better product. I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.

The store itself is very clean and well-kept, but I felt like the selection was really slacking. Tons of shelves and section were completely empty. And many items they did have seemed on the cheap side. However I will say my kiddos were very enthralled with the giant (and I mean GIANT) blow up lawn decor selection. Santa, snowmen, Grinch, rudolph and more. Definitely come here if these are what you're after. In general though, this maybe just not the spot for holiday shopping for me, and instead referring here for more general home-needs. Pillows, furniture, lamps, rugs, frames, organizers... the list goes on. They're also fairly well-priced on most items!

Have filled a previous house with Ashley Furniture and knew what to expect. Good, decent quality furniture at reasonable prices. The sales person at this store (Barb) was very helpful and not pushy. I ended up picking up a dining set from the floor display and went out of my comfort zone and bought a sleeper chaise that was an internet only purchase. Normally I wouldn't go that route because I'm picky about comfort but the dimensions of the couch/ chaise was perfect for an apartment and I liked the clever design of the sleeper function at a bargain price. The material and design were clean an attractive upon arrival. The couch is firm but not uncomfortable and the chaise portion is shorter than most, but I accepted that compromise because a full size would have overwhelmed the room. Also, most sleepers are very heavy and normally uncomfortable. This one has a unique folding mechanism that I really like and the firmness of the cushions makes it a great bed that fits a 6 footer comfortably . The delivery guys were fast, friendly and did a good job setting up with issues. Very good experience, highly recommend this store.

They keep saying they'll reach out but no one does, their service and support line at the store goes straight to voicemail, i even went in and they said it's a 30% restocking fee, which i totally get if it was just a return but these couches have nails coming out of the back and that is insane. I will never shop here again, quality control is horrific and so is the stores customer service.
