I was in the market for a pool table and, after checking some out online as well as at a second hand shop in town, made my way to Master Z's. What a fun spot. They have anything and everything you might need for a billiards room, game room, or patio. There is seriously so much fun goodness in here! They have a wonderful selection of pool tables with prices ranging from low to high end. I'm not a serious pool player and so opted for the low end of the spectrum. I was clear with the sales person on what I could afford and he did everything to accommodate (and didn't pressure me to purchase outside my comfort zone, which was nice). The final price for the pool table I purchased was only a couple hundred dollars higher than some of the used prices (after re-felting and necessary repairs would have been made to the used table). And, they were having a deal where we got a ping-pong table topper thrown in for free. On my way out, I perused through the store. I bought a pool table from master z's fifteen years ago. I am playing on it right now and I am just really satisfied about the quality after all of this time. Everyone knows this place charges lots of money, but maybe paying that money is worth it if you know they are peddling high quality merchandise. Kudos, Master Z. We drove over an hour to go to Master Z's due to all the commercial hype over their selection of bar stools. They did have a good display of stools but almost no stock and the sales-person was very cold. Fortunately we did a search and found a place called Barstool Central that was in the area as well. They had stock of numerous stools and were extremely friendly and helpful; likely in part because it is a second generation family business being run by a wonderful younger wife and husband couple. She put together a custom package that we are so excited to get. read more

I wouldn't expect any follow-up service from Masterz's, and horrible customer service over the phone and by email. We needed a pool table we purchased moved after some basement work, and first they denied that we purchased the pool table from them and therefore couldn't service, and then stated it was up to their mgmt if they would take the job. After some clarifying questions via email they simply said no, were rude and abrupt. They did give us some other names. And should we need to purchase any of the items they sell in the future, we most definitely will not return. read more

We purchased our beautiful patio furniture in 2018. It's high quality and we still love it for it's comfort and design. Unfortunately, if you need service from the Dealer, in this case Master Z's in brookfield, you may be in for a surprise. We are having an issue with our cantilever umbrella not closing completely. I called the store today for some advice as to how to remedy this problem. I spoke to a woman who by the way, I have talked to in the past about another issue. It was clear she had no interest in helping me and referred me to the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and spoke to a lovely woman who was kind, and helpful. She added that the dealer should be helping me, but she was happy to assist me. I explained that the dealer had no interest and went on to say that when I asked if someone could help me figure out how to close the umbrella, she said (her words) " I have no clue, we are not technical people here" The customer service rep from the manufacturer gasped. She was helpful and gave me some tips as to how to close the umbrella, unfortunately none have worked. I called the dealer Master Z's back and asked for a service call. I spoke again to the same woman who's attitude isn't proper when speaking to a customer. She said, "Well.... we have to charge you because it's not under warranty" I didn't ask that did I ? I asked for a service call. She went on that they are backed up for weeks and weeks. How about, "Yes ma'am we are happy to come out and take a look at your umbrella. We do charge a fee for that, let me tell you when we have availability to come out" Oh my wouldn't that have been nice? That is called customer service. I've spoken with this woman at Master Z's before. Two years ago I called about ordering more chairs for our set as well as two additional fire pit chairs. It's been Crickets.... she never got back to me. I don't think this woman is too interested in working, or so it would seem. I would have given only one star but we do love our patio furniture. There are so many choices these days to purchase high quality patio furniture, don't choose one that give poor service. We've moved on. read more

Took a special trip here to pick up shuffleboard table wax. Very large selection of items you need to create your special man cave, home bar area, or outside deck/pool area. Lots of pool table, shuffleboard, darts and other assorted bar game accessories. I called ahead to make sure they had the wax and I'm glad I did as it was an extensive trip from Milwaukee. I had never been in downtown Waukesha before, so it was definitely an "explore" (my word for adventure). read more

When looking for quality furniture, my wife and I, tend to take our time to avoid costly mistakes. Tony and Rob were very patient and helpful, any time we would call them or enter the showroom, with additional questions, even though we had not purchased any item in several months - there was never any pressure, to "act quickly". When we finally purchased an upscale conference/card table from California House (one of their top-notch suppliers), we were very pleased with the result, including scheduling, delivery, and set up. Pleased with our first purchase, we made a follow-up purchase, for a matching piece of furniture, to accompany, the table. The custom finish on the second item did not match the first. We were reluctant to mention it, as we did not purchase the items together, so some minor allowance for variation in finish might be expected. However, the color of the finish, was markedly different. Tony and Master Z's staff, "went to bat", for us. Our second piece of furniture was shipped back to California House for refinishing. When returned to us, it matched the first piece perfectly - AND we were not charged anything, for return shipping or second finishing! Now THAT, is quality workmanship and service. I have gone to Master Z's on many occasions to help with furniture with my porch, fire pit patio, and indoor games. Shopping for outdoor furniture became frustrating because although a lot of items look nice, they don't feel very well when you're sitting on them. I found that the furniture, although more expensive, was of a higher quality and much more comfortable from Master Z's. They also helped in answering my questions about indoor games; table tennis and fooseball. The items were delivered and set up for an extra charge, but well worth it. If you're willing to spend a few extra dollars, I would highly recommend Master Z's over Crate and Barrel, Steinhafels, or Laacke and Joys. read more

I suppose I could have saved myself the trip by just calling first, but after seeing their advertising I decided to make the drive to check it out in person. I went in looking for information on buying two pool tables, and hopefully a Golden Tee machine. Waited around for the owner to speak with us. He basically explained to me that he was the "only" place for this stuff (coin-op pool tables) and the "only" pool tables he had for me would be $5000. This guy either doesn't know the internet exists, or just didn't want to deal with me. Either way, the guy didn't give me his name, didn't look me in the eye the whole conversation and gave off a bad vibe. I had to ask for his name before leaving to ensure I remembered for this review. probably the worst customer service experience! i go in looking for a hammock swing & when i walk in nobody says hello or greets me or asks if i need help. i went to go find the hammock swings and from what they looked like they'd be too big for the hammock stand we have, and so then i go to the front desk & ask this guy working if he knows how wide & long the hammock swings are, and his response was "i wouldn't know that" & so then i ask are there any other places that sell hammock/hammock swings around here & his response was "i really wouldn't know that". HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THE SIZE OF YOUR OWN PRODUCTS?! glad i didn't spend $200-$300 on a hammock there! won't ever go again. read more

Ken, Rob, and Dustin helped me secure the cue stick of my dreams. The last of seven made by Schön, this was a tough cue to find. I paid more than what the competition charged (despite the "lowest price" guarantee on the front page of their web site), but I can't say I have any regrets; the cue is a true work of art. And they had to go out of their way to get it for me so I can't complain. I think it is safe to say if Master Z's can't find what you're looking for, nobody can. The customer service I received was more than I expected. Overall, I would recommend these guys. Next time I am in Milwaukee area I'll have to make a trip out your pool hall, it looks like the place to be! read more

Great place to get anything you might need! I went in the other day to get a pool cue and the staff was fantastic. They helped me pick out a beautiful new Mcdermott. We bought some outdoor furniture first. It went through without a hitch! We loved how everything looked on our front porch and deck. Also, we got new kitchen stools. Great quality and they fit perfectly. We decided to go back a week later to get a fire pit and other out door chairs.. They were delayed at the manufacturer which was no fault of Master Z's.. We finally got everything about 8 weeks later and the chairs were awesome, but the fire pit was not the quality we thought. It was a custom order, so they very easily could have 'stuck' us with it. Tony came over himself and looked at it and took it with him.. We went back that night and ordered a different one AND another lounge chair.. I understand things can go wrong, but the way both Rob (the owner) and Tony (the manager) handled things, I would still HIGHLY recommend!! read more

We had shopped at several places in both Illinois and Wisconsin for patio furniture. When we went to Master Z's, we were greeted by Tony. He answered all of our questions and made some excellent suggestions. We ordered new patio furniture that day. We later returned and ordered replacement slings for some patio furniture that we already had. The new furniture came in as scheduled. There was a manufacturing issue with one of the chairs. We sent photos to Tony. He contacted the manufacturer and obtained a replacement chair for us. He kept us updated on a regular basis during the wait for the replacement chair. There was also an issue with one of the replacement slings which came from a different manufacturer. Tony kept after them, keeping us informed along the way, and we received the correct sling. We highly recommend Master Z's! Tony was an excellent sales representative for them! read more

I will never recommend this place to anyone- in fact I will tell people not to go. I went there this week to look for a dart board for my husband. Several different associates looked at me and never said a word. One walked right past me and seemed to look through me. Not once was I even acknowledged. I am aware that I am a younger looking 30 year old however I do not appreciate being treated like a child running through the store while my parents shop. I was more than willing to give them my business but never again. read more

As of right now I am not impressed. We ordered our patio furniture during their tent sale on 5/18. It is not 6/15 and we haven't heard word on when it's coming in (although they said about 3 weeks verbally). So we called yesterday to get an idea of what is going on and the first person we talked to seemed very confused on what we were talking about. We gave him the invoice number, name, etc...finally he finds something and his attitude changes to being very very nice and says that he'll look into it and have someone call us later. I then called because that was around noon and it's now 3pm and I work in a warehouse and I know how orders and shipments come in. He mentions again that he "expects" to call my husband later on today because they just got a huge shipment and want to make sure it's all accounted for. They finally call at their closing time and they tell us that it "should" show up in next weeks shipment. Next week?! So now we're going on 1 month and 1 week. Maybe we'll get to enjoy the furniture (that we already put a hefty down payment on) by Labor Day................ Just saying, a little notice here and there on where our furniture is would be something nice you might want to add to your business. read more

I purchased two cues from Master Z's earlier in December. The sales associate was cordial. I knew what I wanted so the process was expedited. A few weeks later I needed the weight changed so I contacted an associate and asked if I could bring my cue in to have the weight changed and was told that it would not be a problem. Upon arrival I was met by an associate and explained what I needed accomplished. He took my cue and proceeded to work on it. I went to look at some of the other cues while I waited. I overheard the associate working on my cue and another gentleman talking about a woman who had called earlier. The one working on my cue began to mock the woman in a whiny voice. They shared a chuckle. Then the other man asked what my associate was working on and the conversation turned to whispers so I returned to the counter. Upon my arrival the sales associate working on my cue saw me and stopped whispering and talking all together. This made me feel really uncomfortable. I'm unsure if these guys are aware that their customers keep the business open and pay their checks. After this experience I most likely will not utilize Master Z's services in the future. Oh, the guy working on my cue had short hair and glasses. I didn't get his name cause he didn't offer it. And after the experience I just wanted to leave. read more
