The food and the lemon spritz are to die for! It is pretty hot here, only some fans. Where they went wrong was the service. Our waiter was rude and didn't check on us once. He got angry with people who decided not to eat here and rolled his eyes at us when we wanted to share a meal. Overall the view and food was good but the terrible service didn't make it worth it.

For €35 for both of us, we rented chairs, towels and an umbrella at a beach-side bar Stella Maris that had some great drinks (of course we got our Aperol Spritz in!) and pretty great pizza as well - all served to your lounge chairs! Amazing experience and we would definitely come back! Read more about our trip to Amalfi (plus other travel and plenty of German food) on my blog (www.dirndlkitchen.com) - please stop by!

So I'm on a pizza tour of Italy for a month and this restaurant combined with the view is the best I have had. The view is stunning, the service speaks English, and the pizza is stunningly perfect. This is the one to come to eat pizza. Seriously

We were recommended this place by our hotel concierge. True, it's more of a locals place. Our waiter, who I might suspect to be the owner or manager, even warned us about that. Which I thought was odd. The food was good but not mind blowing. I had a mixed seafood antipasti for an appetizer and my husband had a pasta with eggplant dish. For main course I had a local pasta dish with locally caught red calamari which was excellent. The pasta was very al dente, which is the tradition that gets missed by so many tourist that comment or raw state of pasta. My husband had squid with potato purée which was yummy. The tiramisu was great, as usual, it's hard to mess up a tiramisu. My favorite part was the drinks. I had a lemon drop martini and it was yummy! The service was great, no one was rude as mentioned in another review. Next day we actually went here for the beach club. For 20 euro we were setup with loungers and umbrella beachfront.

The food was average and the service was poor. The manager was rude and short tempered. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Lovely food choices, fine service, good value, beautiful open air views looking out to the sea. Nothing other than a thumbs up.

Trying to find food in southern Italy with a celiac (friend) and vegan (me) in your midst has proven to be as difficult as I had expected; however, after passing dozens of other restaurants that were either overpriced, unaccommodating, or just plain rude, we stopped here to check out their menu. Although nothing immediately stood out, the prices seemed reasonable and we thought we could probably make something work. As we were humming and hawing, we were approached by the most wonderfully energetic and welcoming waitress who had noticed our waivering and assured us that the kitchen would accommodate any requests and that there would be no pressure and no hidden service charges--unlike most other restaurants in the area. Patrizia seated us on the patio and I warned her of my dietary restriction. Unlike most service people we had encountered thus far who were dismissive of this, she took it in stride and started rattling off options that she thought would work for me. I told her that I would be more than grateful to have whatever the kitchen would make for me. My group ordered and she brought us complimentary WiFi passwords as we waited, all the while smiling and cracking jokes. The chef--a sweet woman who poked her head out to give me the thumbs-up on making something vegan--whipped up a delicious grilled vegetable sandwich on pizza crust bread and despite having to custom-make it, they only charged me for the basic pizza-bread sandwich on their menu (€9). We were happily surprised by how reasonable the prices were compared to restaurants up the main strip that were in a less scenic location and were not as aesthetically pleasing. After exploring Positano and Amalfi, the whole group agreed that meeting Patrizia was the best part of our day. If you have the opportunity to check out this restaurant, be sure to look for the beautiful woman with the most genuine smile in all of southern Italy!
