We headed here without a reservation (risky!) at around 8pm on a Tuesday, and luckily they were able to squeeze us in. The staff were extremely kind and very attentive, our server left us wanting for nothing. We were given a fun fresh bread set up with breadsticks (not pictured), and we started with the burrata. Make sure you try their burrata, I'd say it was the best we had in Italy! For primis, we had the gnocchi, which was delicious, and the special pasta with slow roasted beef and onion sauce - which was absolutely to die for. If I could give this place a zero, I would. The restaurant hours on Yelp said open until 11:00PM. We sat down and a server delivering 2 meals to the table next to us, said the kitchen closed at 9:00PM we were there just before 10:00 and there was a large table of 8 people still waiting for their food. This was a clear case of discrimination. If you are not local I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. This is not a good representation of the normally friendly and kind Italian people. read more

This is a MUST dinner stop when staying in Sorrento. The food was EXCELLENT. It's family-owned and operated establishment down to their bus boy; he is the cutest. The waiter, who I'm pretty sure was the owner's son, explained where every ingredient came from. Although the experience felt very fancy, the prices were reasonable. read more

I would give them 10 stars if I could! Just a short 2 minute walk from the heavily touristed streets, you'll find this special place. A small, family run establishment, every dish that was served was prepared by one woman. If you sit inside, which is comfortable and cozy, you can watch her masterfully move around the kitchen at a pace you have to see to believe. We have been traveling around Europe for 2 weeks and this was by far the best bread we've had yet. Airy focaccia made in house with the perfect blend of salt and herbs. We also enjoyed a smoked cheese appetizer, cod entree and ragu pasta, all of which were not only beautifully plated, but tasted like a slice of heaven. We found this place while wandering through Sorrento. We ordered Eggplant Parmesa, meatballs and baked potatoes. They were all delicious! We received focaccia bread with olive oil from Sorrento and oregano from Vesuvius that was so good. We also received homemade bread and breadsticks during lunch - incredible. The waiter was kind and friendly with perfect English, since we don't speak Italian well. We ended up with dessert since the rain was coming down and it did not disappoint! Benvenuti in Casa is completely family run, including grandparents. The owner is a most friendly waiter who also cooks up a most tasty focaccia. His wife, the chef, produces the best food we have eaten while here in Sorrento. Fresh fish cooked exquisitely, nice salads and home made pasta were among our favorites. The dolci - tiramisu, cannolis, and chocolate tart with vanilla ice cream, were a wonderful finish to a perfect meal. While it is located next to a bar and sushi place, it is outside of the city wall and thus away from the touristy madness. Food is top notch and prices are very reasonable. If you're in Sorrento, I would definitely put Benvenuti in Casa on your list. read more
