They YELP listing is a bit all over the place. There is a place at this address by this name and it is in the Byrne Building in Phoenixville. However, there is some historical cross-over that's getting mixed up. The gentleman in the photo with the salt and pepper hair sold the business to another man (who is bald and much younger). He has been the owner for several years now. A friend of mine referred me to this practice and I learned that he doesn't believe in marketing beyond word-of-mouth so he hasn't taken steps to correct any of this. Which is fine, not everyone has time or interest in online apps and marketing and rely on people like me, I suppose, to spread the word. So here I am. I've had two appointments now and have found relief from an issue that's been plaguing me for almost 2 years. I've been in and out of chiropractic for 25 years at this point and this guy is the real deal. He's conservative in his treatment. His initial intake consultation took almost an hour (but I have a complicated spine history) and there were no pressure tactics. No scare tactics. Just a lot of consultative 'here's what I can do, what are your goals?' kind of conversation. He has a hydraulic table which is something I need for low back distraction. He has an ultrasound machine. He has an activator (for pin point adjustments - the 'clicker' device some chiropractors use). And he has several modalities for working on your muscles (hands-on and various massage and percussive devices as well as cupping). And he takes COVID seriously and masks appropriately. He's the real deal and serious about helping you heal. Not make a quick a buck are making you pay for some plan in advance. read more

I was sent to Dr. Stern years ago - after having tried everything and I mean everything I got relief after my first visit with him . Then I was in a car accident and continued to go to him and he was responsible for my 100% recovery. I did not return again until after he had sold the business to another chiropractor ,obviously to my surprise. However , I figured I might as well just give him a try if Dr. Stern trusted him enough then maybe he was worth giving a chance. Like the others, I was skeptical about the pricing for Dr. Stern. I had an upper back problem due to carrying a backpack and a friend's massage therapist recommended him and me. Though I came in with a specific problem, Dr. Stern was attentive and very comprehensive with his examination. He doesn't try to sell you anything and I never feel pressured to sign a package deal or anything like that. His explanations towards your physiology reminiscent of my experience with a physical therapist. This is probably a reflection of his 20+ years of experience. The ultrasound treatment is great. I am always very happy coming out of the experience, the hour or thirty minute session is super productive and he never wastes any time! You definitely get your moneys worth. read more

I first came across Dr. Sterns services on an ad at Lombardi's ski shop and was a little weary because of the pricing. I have seen chiropractors charge three times the amount that he charges which concerned me, but I have received the best care from Dr. Stern then any large practice could offer. Dr. Stern truly provides the care that he indicates on his flyer's. A realigning of the body as a whole (Muscularly and Skeletally) caused by sport-active activities at a low affordable cost. I have been a patient of his for about a year now and my structural health is at a 9 out of 10. Dr. Sterns approach with me has helped my structural posture with a chiropractor approach and with an adjustment to my workout routine. This two-fisted approach has really strengthened my structural health more then I can imagine. Week after week I dis-align myself due to long extensive computer use and sport activities, but Dr. Stern always puts me back in alignment as needed. I visit him on a bi-weekly basis and he is always flexible never pressuring you on a static date and time treatment. Even if you have to reschedule a day or two before, he is always flexible and understanding to his patience schedules. In times of emergencies, he always tries to fit you in that day or asap the next morning with a lot of flexibility. Dr. Stern really gives his patients a personal touch that gets lost with larger practices. If your new to this form of treatment or know the type of treatment you want, Dr. Stern's firm should be in your consideration of firms in San Francisco. I'm an Iraq/Afghanistan War Veteran and after years of grounding and pounding in the Army I started having lower back issues and random back spasms.My wife went to see him after being referred by her boss and she had nothing but great things to say. I thought, well, if she was impressed I have to go. So she booked me an appointment and woooooo, I haven't had a back spasm or lower back pain since. I feel like a new man/Soldier. If you're looking for a full service chiropractor, Dr. Stern is it. Not only does he give you appropriate adjustments as one would expect from a Chiro, he also does massage and ultrasound as necessary, some light stretching, and really tunes into your overall bodily health. When I first started seeing him 3 years ago, it was mainly for back and shoulder issues related to sitting at a desk... yes, I live in corporate America. Since then, he has helped me through TMJ issues, a strained wrist, and the WORST hamstring pull EVER, in addition to his regular "maintenance" checks. I trust him more than my general doctor and have sent multiple friends to him for treatments. What could possibly make this situation better? I DO have an answer... $20 per appointment. Yes, for world class service from a doctor with over 20 years of experience, one can get adjusted, massaged and physically stabilized for $20!! He doesn't take insurance to keep his costs low and he is very flexible in seeing you. Great at returning calls, scheduling you sooner if an injury comes up and even does follow up calls to see how you're feeling after the appointment. If I could give Dr. Stern more stars, I would. I was referred to Stellar by my personal trainer so I trusted the recommendation despite never having been to a chiro before and hearing mixed things about them. I arrived and got some good info on vitamins (helpfully split into "all recommended" and "most important") and had my body/joints analysed. Anyways, we got to actually adjusting my joints and I have to say it was weird but awesome. It felt like something might snap or break, but after he was done, the muscles around the joint would always be less tense and I'd have greater strength and range of motion. It was pretty awesome. My neck felt like an owl, I could swivel more than 100 degrees in both directions, something sometimes hard for me. Any remaining worries about this were negated by the great price: $40 for first visit and $20 for followups. He said every 2 weeks to start and then monthly and I worried about signing up for new monthly expense, but the truth is my body improves with each visit and $20 is not much per month to ward off body issues associated with long-term tension and joint pain. So I highly recommend Stellar to my friends and now to you, Yelp community. read more

Dr Stern is outstanding. I am relatively fit and healthy but have without a doubt been in much better health since I started visiting Dr Stern. I spend my days at an office and am occassionally plagued with minor workplace related injuries (or more appropriately nusances) such as neck strain or tension. These symptoms were futher aggravated and sometimes quite acutely after exercising, lifting weights or doing yoga which forced me to be feeling not all the great about 15% of the time. Dr. Stern is completely amazing. I currently am a NPC women's physique athlete and started having issues when it came to flexing. I didn't know what I was going to do because I had a competition coming up. Someone suggested I go to a chiropractor aka Dr. Stern, who has back ground in athletes to see if it could help. I knew it would be when I was in the lobby before my appointment, and the client before me came out of his office raving about him. He made me feel completely comfortable considering it was the first time I had ever been to a chiropractor. I had come in with some chronic back pain and he was able to give me a thorough response to what was going on with my back and why, then offered solutions to eventually stop my back from hurting. I was referred to Dr. Stern by my masseuse. I hadn't been to a chiropractor in over 10 years, and I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised to meet Dr. Stern. When Pilates can't get me out of pain from overtraining, I go see Dr. Stern. His approach is so unique. His knowledge is priceless. I've been to a few chiropractors in my day, but Dr Stern is by far the best. I started having back pain after I started working out again and was referred to a chiropractor from a friend. After the second visit and $150 later, this guy tells me he needs to see me for ideally - 18 sessions!! What? Yes, 18 and if I get the package, it will only cost me $1600. It was like getting hit by a train. Here I am on the road to wellness and now I need 4 months of chiropractic care and it's costing me an arm and a leg. So insult to injury, after those 2 visits, I am in more pain than I was when I first got there. So I can barely drive, bend over, or even wash dishes because my back is killling me. Thank god I found Stern on Yelp. Called this morning and was in there by mid afternoon. This guy did more in 1 hour than I could ever imagine. He is knowledgeable, thorough and understands that it's not only the rich that get hurt and need mending. He was able to isolate my pain with his fingers, quick and precise adjustments. I literally saw results within minutes while my other guy got me in, got me out with a couple cracks and reverse results. Stern also uses an ultrasound that hit home - within minutes, I was new. To top it all off - I paid $40 for 45 minutes and he tells me $20 for all future visits! At the end of the session I asked him if I could come back in the next two days and he says - " give it a week and let your body recover". Unbelievable, that there are guys and gals out there giving sub par adjustments for 3x the amount while Stern works his magic in a matter of minutes for a great rate. I mean - did my other chiropractor hurt me intentionally so that he could rope me in for an 18 pack? Why else would I feel worse after his 'treatment'? I would hate to believe it but after Stern's visit - I don't know. Please go see Dr Stern. The office is small but the results are huge. I am sold and I trulty have a chiropractor for life - amen! In my case, getting treatment from Dr. Stern was the last piece of the puzzle I needed for my lower back and hip pain to almost go away. I'd been in pain for ~6 months, but after just one visit, in combination with core workouts and massages, my pain is almost gone. As an added bonus, Dr. Stern charges on a scale...$X amount if you have a job and $X amount, if you don't. I am very happy to have a job and glad to pay the full amount as you can't really put a dollar sign on health. So far I have had two appointments and both times it has been fantastic! Dr Stern is very knowledgeable, personable, willing to explain what he is doing and why the issue may have occurred. He has a small office of I believe just himself but seems to treat his patients with genuine and individual care. Also his costs per visit are extremely reasonable considering the all he does.
