We tried Stella's Empanadas at a pop up at the NJ expo center during Christmas Con. We weren't disappointed from the affordable price to the unique/classic flavors. We tried the beef and cheese, Mac and 5 cheeses and the baked apple pie. The beef and cheese was well seasoned with minimal cheese pull, the Mac and 5 cheese was not too soft and cheesy and the baked apple pie had just the right amount of cinnamon. Overall, the empanada shells were crispy not soggy and just the right amount of airy. I would totally eat them again.

One of the three yummy empanadas I tried!

Visited them at Christmas Con 2021 at the NJ Expo Center. I tried the BBQ Pork Empanada, the Mac and 4Cheeses Empanada and the Apple Pie Empanada! All were a great texture and had a nice flavor. Everything was at a nice temperature despite being at a remote location which was impressive. My fave was definitely the Mac n 4Cheeses!

STELLAS EMPANADAS are delicious! we picked some up today at the Scotch Plains farmers market they had stacks of them lined up in cute pizza boxes you get six to an order for a great price! we're trying all the vegan options and there are a lot of them!?the caprese is filled with mince tofu fresh tomatoes basil and chinichura sauce the list of fillings is huge the crispy soft handmade shell is a treat just by itself

    Caprese empanada, a must get

After having Stellas Book marked on my Yelp list for awhile, i finally made the treck over here. The empanadas here are not skimp at all! They deff pack them to the rim and they are big. Not to mention, at $2 each thats a steal. However, they do have deals such as 6 for $8.50. The dessert Argentine Cheesecake was my fave. Ive never had a cheesecake empanada but this opened my eyes to a whole new world! The second favorite was the Calabrese. A little bit of italian flavor thrown into ths mix was a great idea. If youre not a fan of cheese, i wouldnt suggest getting this one....because it is cheesey to the max. Speaking of cheese, i even tried the mac n cheese. Now at first thought, youd think this would have been my fave however, it didnt deliver. Not sure if its their rue, or the cheese they use..but i just was not a fan of the flavor of the cheese sauce and mix in it. I liked that theres deals, theyre big, you can sit and eat, and they even have a whole menu for vegetarians ! I would reccomend this place to anyone, its a great spot for a quick snack!

Stella's stand is a mainstay in the grove street farmer's market. $2.50 for 1 empanada or $20 for a dozen, they are the more affordable food options at the market. I got the spicy chicken and beef and potato empanadas. My favorite is the beef and potato empanada. It's flavorful and moist. The spicy chicken comes shredded and it was a little dry. The skin was not crispy, probably because i got the empanadas from their mobile stand. I will be back to try their other flavors!

Right here we got the philly cheesestake empanada! The cheddar potato! Lastly the Mac and cheese empanada!

We love fun tasty empanadas creations out of the usual chicken, beef or cheese. Right here we got the philly cheesestake empanada! The cheddar potato! Lastly the Mac and cheese empanada! These were amazingly tasty empanadas.

It's a small shop but the food is amazing. My favorite empanadas are the Philly cheese and the beef and cheese. The empanadas are packed full of fresh ingredients locally sourced and they're filling. Tried the Tango Burger which was cooked well and extremely moisted. The chimichurri sauce over it was different and added to the flavors of the burger. My step-dad got the Beef Milenese Sandwich which he enjoyed but was a little dry for him. They had a $20 for 13 empanadas (cash only) special when I walked in today. And you can tell how good the food is by the amount of takeout boxes people are constantly picking up throughout the day

Food was absolutely amazing! Ordered delivery on a Friday night, it came fast and everything was fresh. Best empanadas I've ever had, hands down. Also ordered a salad and a burger, both were great!

What you just have to be aware of is that if you are looking for Italian pizza, this is not Italian pizza. It might look like it, but if that's what you're used to in looking for, this might taste a little off, but it's not off, it's just different, some different seasoning in it. Not as much my thing, but approaching it for what it is, this is more than not bad, this is a good spot. You can go a few blocks up and have Domino's and struggle not to regurgitate for several hours afterwards, but this would certainly be a better choice than that. I would say give it a try, you might even like it more, different people have different tastes, but the quality is good and the service is excellent and the prices aren't bad at all, so while it might not be entirely my thing, I can still recommend it.

While there isn't exactly an Argentine neighborhood in New Jersey, many great restaurants are…read morelocated in the northern part of the state. Argentine cuisine is a blend of influences from the Italian and Spanish immigrants with its chief national product, beef. They say the reason Argentine steak is so good is that its cattle graze on the country's plentiful pampas grass, rather than being grain-fed as American cattle are. The result is leaner, more flavorful, and more nutritious beef. One such establishment is on Moonachie Road in Moonachie, where my partners, our friends and I decided on Saturday dinner. Reservations were easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this cozy, modern interior of Tango Steak as first-timers, we were greeted by the host and got a table right away. We were here 3 years ago when it was El Tango Argentina Grill. The vibe has completely changed. It's now darker and louder, not family-friendly. Music was at a decent volume and does seem to increase as it gets later, giving it a lounge type. As an appetizer, we started with Beef and Chicken Empanadas as well as Calamares (Calamari). For our main meal, we decided on the Extrana (Skirt Steak) with Mashed Potatoes & Chimichurri Sauce and Tango Burger accompanied with Fries. Food was good, not awesome. Our appetizers were tasty and well seasoned. The Skirt Steaks tasted fantastic with the Chimichurri Sauce. The Mashed Potatoes had a nice texture. However, some of us asked that their Tango Burgers be made medium but came out well done. The Fries were salty and very dry. Our service was horrendous, but our server was Nathaly who was accommodating and apologetic. Some of us had gotten their appetizer faster than others. The duration between our appetizers and the main meal was an hour. The food was not cheap given the portions received and the 20% gratuity added automatically to the bill. With insult to injury, their valet attendant charged $5. Definitely not what we expected, which is why we sadly can't recommend this place.

Especially when you are not in the mood for your own cooking and you just feel like grabbing something to eat instead. It's a small baut nice bakery. A little bit of a fast paced environment. So we ordered a few empanadas, pastries and coffee. Everything we ordered was delicious but I have to say my favorite savory was the Beef empanadas. Perfectly seasoned and crunchy on the outside. The pastries soft with the sweetness of the dulce de leche. Now their coffee to me personally I've had better. I fell like the food and pastries make up for the coffee. I still fell in love with this place. Isn't a cozy home away from home type of vibe. Wish we didn't live in Orlando so I can become a regular here but what can I do? Have one or have them all; the choice is yours! Buenos Aires Salad: This may be an appetizer, but this salad practically eats like a meal. My favorite toppings were the avocado and shrimp. I don't have an acquired taste for hard boiled eggs; but everything else was perfect. Argentinian Grill for Two: Although this barbecue is meant for two, it can easily serve three people. This carnivorous entrée is filled with all of your favorite proteins including skirt steak, blood sausage, Argentinian sausage, and beef ribs. All meats are cooked with wooden charcoal so it has that authentic hint of wooden flavor. As a bonus, this entrée is served on a table grill with charcoal. Grilled Sea Food With Lobster: You won't need to travel down the shore for seafood when you explore this dish. It has all of your favorite dishes from under the sea. Seafood Mix With Rice: Here is a variation of the previous entrée except everything is served over a heaping pile of yellow rice. If you are fan of soccer, this is definitely a perfect hang out spot.
