If you have the opportunity, make this a stop in your travels. We've been coming here for years (at least 10) and it's been a few years that due to relocation that we did not regularly get to enjoy the service, food and atmosphere. It's more then that, it's the charm of the main player who goes by the name of Angelo (the owner) who personally takes the time to make your visit memorable. His charm is imprinted in his recital of the innovative cuisine specials that are eloquently described with passion for his creations. Yeah, he's that good and the food is delicious . The rest of his staff is very professional, inviting, attentive and just go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Overall, one of the best places to enjoy a positive dinning experience. I will be back soon.

While staying in Harrison I was yearning for some good Italian food and a co-worker suggested we come here. We were greeted at the door by the host/manager who was very engaging and stayed helpful throughout our entire dining experience! The menu is loaded with lots of interesting and tempting specialties, more so than most Italian joints. They have a huge selection of veal in the veal section of the menu! They have four soups to choose from, lots of house made pastas and many other dishes as well. They started us with their complimentary bruschetta which was very fresh and tasted great! Their table bread was really good and came out nice and warm. I started with pasta fagioli and it was really nice - no meat, but lots of white beans and pipette style pasta. My entrée was their ham and fontina stuffed chicken with marsala sauce - it was AMAZING! The veggies that came with it were great too, especially the potatoes. But that chicken couldn't have been more flavorful and perfectly prepared on its own - add to it that amazing marsala sauce and it was truly an incredible dish! I wanted some pasta too, so I got a side of Bolognese. It was quite a big side and I didn't think I'd finish it, but once I started eating it, I couldn't stop. It was incredible! The sauce was amazing! They have plenty of cocktails and a nice wine list too. I'll most definitely return when back in the area!!

A wonderful eatery that is half sports bar and the other half is an old fashion, Italian red sauce restaurant. Ambiance is cozy, quiet and comfortable. Service was impeccable and very attentive. We loved the wait staff. Warm bread and butter is served along with complimentary bruschetta. Appetizer was mussels in white wine sauce. We had broiled salmon and linguine and clams for dinner. Finished off with apple pie and lemon sorbet. All delicious! We will definitely be back!

One of my favorite go-to spots to meet up with friends and coworkers The food is consistently impeccable! You get a good ol' nostalgic vibe as if you are sitting at the table with "The Godfather". This restaurant is small and quaint! I'm a huge fan of the small circular booths and the bar of course. Every time you go there you will be warmly greeted by Jessica and Angelo! There is complimentary bruschetta that's to die for!! I'm visiting in NJ and have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks. I was craving the francese!!! Also enjoyed was the rosemary ribeye, arugula salad, Caesar salad, Linguine with white clams, Chicken Scarpiello, and a salmon dish!! Everything. AMAZING!

Local spot. You wouldn't know if this if you didn't have family or friends in this area. Everything is fresh including the homemade pasta, yep fresh cut pastas. I'm not a sangria person but tried it here, great mix, no added sugar. Appetizers: Gorgonzola & risotto amazing, fresh asparagus & prosciutto wrapped excellent. My son had fresh shrimp scampi (photo) and I had the best Yellowtail w Broccoli Rob. Here the deal, we went w a local and it's small, the look is old school but the food is fantastic. The waiter staff is 5 star, knowledgeable about the menu and the special just order a special of the day. Wife had chicken parmigiana very well done. Friends had chicken piccata & the lasagna ( you have to ask it's not on menu) Idk that anyone travels here but if you are looking for authentic Italian cuisine this is it.

Pickup Order, nice ambiance with incredibly friendly and polite staff! The Cesar dressing was a little oily, but decent. The rigatoni was well cooked and the sauce had good flavor. The bread was slightly stale and dry, nothing special. Overall solid meal.

Finally tried this place. So tiny lol. I thought the food was ok. Shrimp scampi - 2/10 too oily. Ratio of garlic and oil off. Off putting. Had better. Seafood ravioli- decent. 7/10 Was supposed to be lobster stuffed but seemed like cheese inside. Ordered with the vodka sauce which was good Calamari salad - 8/10 good twist of salad. Liked the lemon vinaigrette. Mussels- ehhh didn't enjoy these at all. The "sauce" was more like chicken broth or something. Not good for dipping lol. Not cleaned well. Sandy tasting. People love this place. Sorry to say ehhh not my cup of tea

Excellent dinner, server was a bit forgetful. Forgot our wine and check. Chicken could have been more tender, good sauce. Excellent Calamari.

    Heaven.

The food and ambiance here is is a combination of fancy and cozy. The chicken piccata my son got and the chicken pilliard I got were amazing. So rich and delicious. The service was attentive and everyone was super friendly. We were just driving through from Newark into New York, but if in the area, I'd totally come here again.

The food is Amazing. The service is impeccable and the ambiance is delightful. Fried Calamari I am not exaggerating, this is the best Fried Calamari I have ever had. This was about 1/3 of what came, when I remembered to take a picture because I was busy eating. Lol. It's that good . Picatta Di Vitello Al Limone (the fish one with shrimp) This was done to perfection, scrumptious. Linguini Con Vongole As a clam lover myself, they definitely did not disappoint. If you like clams too, try this dish Caesar Salad with fried Shrimp Who doesn't love a good Caesar Salad especially when it's paired with fried shrimp. If you can't tell already. I really love seafood. I don't remember the name of the desert. It was very unique in it's taste, the cake part is served warm with ice cream.

We were coming from a Jets game and looked up good Italian restaurants on Yelp. Everyone mentioned La Fiamma. It's great!

Fantastic! If I lived closer to this restaurant--I would be here all the time. Great food! Great service! Really one of the best dining experiences that I have had in a really long time!

    Complimentary Bruccetta

Outstanding food and service. I eat at the bar every time. Pasta always cooked Ala Dante. Chicken was tender and sooo delicious. Bread has a great crunch on the crust. Ceasar has homemade dressing. Jessica at the bar is outstanding. Very knowledgeable about the menu. No gimmic, old school italian!!!

Lovely Italian - very intimate and what is now called "the generous pour" from my standpoint with the wine.

So bet! I was randomly looking for a spot with decent reviews and solid seafood--and I stumbled…read moreacross this little gem. The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted: relaxed, low-key, and welcoming. I sat at the bar and was lucky enough to meet a fantastic bartender. Super friendly, gave honest recommendations, and really added to the experience. I got there around 9-ish and my food came out fast--boom. Even though it wasn't crowded, the vibe was still great. Chill, comfortable, and no rush. Food-wise: The clams were tasty, though I'm usually more of a mussels person. The garlic wine sauce was flavorful and paired nicely. The stuffed snapper? Beautifully done. Well-seasoned, tender, and the seafood stuffing was a great touch. Definitely the standout. By the end, I was happily stuffed. Excellent service, great food, and a relaxed environment--I'll definitely be coming back

We visited Joia solely based on its proximity to the Red Bulls game…read more Parking: Due to the game, I can't speak to how street parking would be. We parked in a parking deck a few blocks away. Service: I made a reservation but didn't end up needing it for 6pm before the 7:30pm game (Wednesday). We were seated right away and that same host took our drink order. A waiter came to take our food order soon after. Our waiter noticed the sun was in our eyes so he pulled the window shade down for us. Both staff members were kind. Drinks: My husband originally wanted a Blue Moon draft but then was told there were no draft drinks available. He opted for a Peroni. I got the white sangria and was not impressed at all. It was basically orange juice with alcohol. Really disappointing. Food: Not the most extensive menu. Since we didn't want any leftovers being we were headed into the game, we both opted for the cheeseburger cooked medium which came with fries. I think the patty was a bit overdone and my cheese was not well melted and still held its shape quite well. Flavors were fine but not $17 worth. They only gave us half full little plastic containers of ketchup which was not enough to put on both my burger and fries. The waiter never came back around for me to ask for more unfortunately. Of note, there is a 4% credit card service charge so I would recommend bringing cash. Overall, it was okay and again, I appreciated its proximity to the stadium. The staff was nice enough but food and drinks were nothing special.
