Service was absolutely excellent, the ambiance I was kind of indifferent too so far as the look of the place, the portions are generous, these are pretty big slices, and for that, especially these days, you get pretty good bang for the buck here price wise. What you just have to be aware of is that if you are looking for Italian pizza, this is not Italian pizza. It might look like it, but if that's what you're used to in looking for, this might taste a little off, but it's not off, it's just different, some different seasoning in it. Not as much my thing, but approaching it for what it is, this is more than not bad, this is a good spot. You can go a few blocks up and have Domino's and struggle not to regurgitate for several hours afterwards, but this would certainly be a better choice than that. I would say give it a try, you might even like it more, different people have different tastes, but the quality is good and the service is excellent and the prices aren't bad at all, so while it might not be entirely my thing, I can still recommend it. read more

We recently moved to Belleville and have been trying out the many pizzeria's in the area. This is one of our favorite pizza places! We have ordered from here multiple times. The sauce on the pizza is delicious! The calzone is so good, overflowing with filling. You don't have to worry about getting a calzone that is mainly dough with just a spoonful of filling in the middle. We have also previously tried their wings, mozzarella sticks, and garlic knots. All very good. The zeppoles were also good. I have ordered at other places, and because they were fried in the same oil as the wings, the zeppoles taste like chicken. But, here, that is not the case. They were soft and doughy like a nice doughnut. We have only been able to order for delivery, and have not been able to experience the service in the restaurant. But, the delivery is usually fast and the driver very friendly as he is dropping it off. My only wish is that they would be open on Sundays to be able to order food for a Sunday football game or other sporting event. We will be ordering here many more times! read more

I was surprised by the crunch when separating the slices but still having a chewy texture , worth the money , service was great owner is a gentleman and you can see they give off that home vibe . Brother had the steak and cheese and let me tell you that was a heavy sandwich healthy amount of REAL STEAK he said the sandwich is better than the pie he said upgrade the cheese and the pizza is a 10/10. Small family style restaurant. The service is friendly, the owners are waiting the tables. We have been here a few times but recently my friend and I stopped by for a quick bite. We had a bottle of wine with us, I ordered an appetizer( $23) as my main dish and my friend had a steak ($25). When we received the bill its was for almost $100.00 We were charged an automatic gratuity of 23%, a fee for bringing the wine (even though we ordered drinks at the restaurant with our meal) , a fee for sharing our dishes. The fees and gratuity added up to about $28 which in my opinion is a little pricey considering the place. The fees should be disclosed on the menus. read more

I walked into a small, family style restaurant that was busy. I told the man my name and he said it wasn't ready. I had to wait another 15 minutes. I paid and left when it was done. 1st time here and I felt like I was back in Argentina with my family. Because that's how they make you feel. The food here was solid. The chicken parm sandwich was very good with a very good sauce. The pizza I feel is just a bit too thick. I asked for it "thin" but I'm not sure she heard me. I feel like their normal pie might be even thicker than what I got. I wish the pizza had more sauce because I didn't feel like there was enough. It also almost tasted more like a vodka sauce on the pizza, it wasn't a rich tomato sauce. Pizza is too thick for me to go there regularly but overall its a good spot with fair prices. read more

When we first moved to this area we came down a week prior to paint our new apartment. When we were exhausted and ready to grab a bite we had a almost impossible time finding a pizza place. Through our GPS and searching on our phones we found at least 4 different restaurants but when we arrived they were either no longer in business or closed.. That is how we stumbled upon Alberto's. At first glance its a fun casual environment with all the fun decorations on the walls. It also has an old school feel to it since there are always "real old school Italians" eating there (so you know the food is good!). Walking in the first time made me a bit nostalgic for my late Italian grandparents and Saturday night dinners with them. Ok, so first the food is GREAT and inexpensive! I mean the prices are a steal. Especially the personal pizza! I have never been able to finish one my self and usually my fiance and I share one with a salad or appetizer and don't finish it either. everything we have had there has been great though I usually stop in when I want a pizza fix. I did try the meatballs recently and they were light and delicious! Plus it comes with their tomato sauce which I can't get enough of, So Good! They should bottle it. Next, the staff. It is definitely a family type feel when you are there because they have a small staff and you always see the same people. They have never been nothing but nice and inviting. Alberto is always around and always checks in to see how we are doing, it feels almost like you have come to their home to eat. We have continued to go there and only there for pizza/Italian food ever since that first visit and LOVE IT! After running an errand in nearby Nutley. Found this place and stopped in for lunch. It was a beautiful summer afternoon and we had our dog with us so we sat outside. The restaurant has standard Italian dishes and New York/New Jersey style pizza but we were there for the Argentine food. There's the classic New York thin crust pizza... there's the thick crusty Sicilian square pie... and somewhere in between is a classic Argentine style pizza. Thicker crust, round and it's all about the ingredients and toppings! Lots of cheese, olives, oregano, corn, hearts of palm, roasted red peppers! Alberto's has an excellent example of the style! Reminds me of the classic pizza parlors in Buenos Aires. The crust was wonderfully crunchy at the edges. The ingredients fresh and tasty. We started with some empanadas... they were out of the beef (is that even possible in an Argentine restaurant?!) so we had the chicken and they were great! Finished the lunch off with dulce de leche filled churros and espresso... the service was very nice. The owner came out and checked in on us. Very friendly. It was really good! Pizza didn't take too long to come out, staff was super friendly, and most importantly, the food was tasty. I got one extra cheese pie and one pie with sausage. great Argentinian food an amazing pizza.

I moved to Belleville recently and got a mailer with a bunch of coupons in it. One was for a free pizza from Alberto's. It was going to expire next week and I had never got around to using it ... but this week was crazy at work, I had a death in the family, I was too tired to go grocery shopping and my fridge only had odds and ends in it so I decided to give it a try. The place is very small but adorable. Lots of vintage album covers, Elvis, Soprano's, license plates and things on the walls. I didn't know where to put myself while my pizza was being made. It was crowded, but still cozy. Everyone's food looked delicious and the place was clean and friendly. It had a good feeling to it. I wasn't disappointed when I got my pizza home.
