I ordered flowers from out of town and what was delivered looks absolutely nothing like what it was supposed to. There are maybe eight flowers and the rest is greenery. I sent an email but I have not had a reply. Definitely not worth my $130. Save your money. Go elsewhere read more

I called from Vancouver to send flowers on Mother's Day. I requested tulips and daisies. My budget was $60 plus delivery. I was not impressed when I saw the picture my mom sent me of what she was sent. Nor was she...so much that she asked if I had spent any more than $40 as it was worth no more than that. I will not use this flower shop again. Pretty disappointed. read more

I have heard about Stems Flowers & Cafe for a while, and when I finally stepped into their enchanted flower shop, I was so excited at all of the beautiful things they had, and not just flowers. I enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee and got a chance to meet Steph and Dawn - both of these girls are one of a kind! They listened to exactly what I wanted, and then helped me see my vision come turn into reality with their crazy amazing Talents with Floral and Decor. They are always up on their trends, and know exactly what would look best, I love that I can put complete trust in them and know when I come to pick up my order, it will be even more than I could have imagined. read more

I placed an order online from Florida for next day delivery on Mother's Day weekend and I was not disappointed. The bouquet that was received by my mom was absolutely beautiful and an EXCELLENT value for the price. STEMS is a full service flower shop, gift shop and cafe. Located in Red Deer, Alberta, Stems prides itself in outstanding everyday floral creations, exceptional seasonal concepts, wedding and event design, unique gifts and home accents. Inspirations come from a love of modern and European blending thus expressing a rich whimsical style. We know that flowers symbolize not only beauty and grace, but are an expression of our own individual style. That's why we consider every aspect of what you would like your design to say. Whether it is a full scope event or you just pop into the cooler to pick up some flowers for your table, we take pride in thinking outside of the box, the STEMS team offers inspiration, great quality and amazing service.

History

Established in 2007.

In 2007, STEMS took over the business from the successful and iconic Central Alberta Florists. After the sale of the land the business was slated to close. However, Red Deer native Stephanie Prysunka-Laprairie purchased the telephone number and existing book of business. The name Central Alberta Florists remains in existence in their wholesale division. Since the retail name could not be used, Laprairie used STEMS which was the name of her growing flower shop in Calgary, AB. In 2017, the business transferred hands, in which the current owner, Amanda Hadland continues to grow stems into a unique, warm small business, in the heart of Red Deer
