I liked that the dentist checked often during drilling to ensure tooth decay was being removed and not healthy tooth parts. The only real complaint I have is that in my previous fillings with other dentists, at the end they used some advanced flossing tool between my teeth, but not at this organization. When I went home, I flossed and had trouble flossing between the teeth with new fillings, for a moment I thought I'd be going back, but it broke free after some effort and I'm fine. I took him to the ER and was told that they were unsure...if I had not just come from the dentist's office they would have sent me there but since I had, and x-rays were done and a dental issue was ruled out, the ER dr. was perplexed. He referred us to an ENT. SO off to the ENT we go who said the same thing as the ER. Finally after FOUR days of my son suffering and countless dr. visits I brought him for a 2nd opinion to another dentist who diagnosed him with the absessed tooth in about 1 minute. It was heartbreaking to see my then 6 yr old go through what he did for 4 days due to the dr's incompetence. Never mind the additional co-pays etc that I incurred. I will NEVER set foot in that office again and will tell everyone I know about our experience there.

This TMD has caused me so much pain including my wallet, if I can stop 1 person from wasting $300.00 for a sales pitch this was worth it. Dr.Melfi was hands down the MOST patient, kind, and understanding dentist I have ever seen. I chose his office specifically because he has a tool called "the wand". You can numb a single tooth rather than an entire quadrant of your face.. My dental anxiety is around the local anesthesia, I freak out when everything goes numb and when you do work on the lower jaw, they usually have to freeze everything. I was able to sit through the entire procedure comfortably without my tongue and face being numb. as Dr.Melfi worked his magic. Truly grateful for his kindness. I recommend him to everyone!
