Let me start this post by saying that I am generally skeptical in nature, and given all the…read morespeculation about chiropractic care, doubly so about it. However, I'd tried it twice before. I went once when I was 20, and my mother recommended I go see her chiropractor for some pain I was having. Now, I was skeptical at that time too, but I was living under her roof at the time, so I did as she said. And, to my surprise, I felt better after seeing him. Fast forward to my early 30s, and I'm no longer living under mom's roof; however, I started experiencing the same sort of pain for which I had previously seen mom's chiropractor. So, having seen success in the past, I decided to go see another chiropractor. This time, unfortunately, I chose randomly from a google search of Denver chiropractor's. Poor decision on my part. After seeing the second chiropractor three times, I was unhealed and felt that he was just guessing as to what he should be doing given my complaints. After that useless experience, I became highly skeptical of chiropractic care. However, when my knees starting giving me pain, a massage-therapist friend of mine recommended that I go see Dr. Kennedy, and I tried a chiropractor for the third time in my life. Dr. Kennedy has changed by perspective on chiropractic care. Dr. Kennedy takes time to try to understand his clients' needs. My first visit with him lasted well over an hour, and he performed a number of diagnostic tests to try to determine the cause of my ailments. It was only once he understood the problem(s), that he began to do any manipulations on me. I've now visited Dr. Kennedy three times, and the knee pain is completely gone (I even went skiing this weekend with no sign of pain whatsoever). Moreover, he continues to research what might be causing my other issues. Every time I've visited him, Dr. Kennedy has given me the impression that he continues to think about his patients after they leave his office. He's vested in their wellness, and wants to do everything he can to make them feel better. Unlike the last chiropractor I visited (who seemed unbothered by the fact that I was seeing no results), Dr. Kennedy has a real sense of duty in helping those who visit him. He takes time to understand his patient's ailments and needs, and takes time to explain what he is doing to aid them. He explains the science behind chiropractic care as he goes along, and takes a holistic approach to healing his patients, incorporating both eastern and western modalities into his practice. He has also suggested that I start taking some supplements, but has never pushed them on me. In fact, quite the opposite, he offered to give me a bottle of something he thought would really help me. If you've considered chiropractic care in the past but have been too much of a skeptic to try it, I highly recommend Dr. Kennedy, as his approach and results are likely to alleviate many of your concerns. I know he alleviated mine. Dr. Kennedy is sincere, honest, caring, and perhaps most importantly good at what he does.

Well I haven't been through a billing cycle for SP4KIDS yet, but a couple of things are important…read moreto note. One, as the reviewer below notes and as it's important to realize, kids with SPD are on a SPECTRUM. There are children who, with a little extra input each day, can function normally. Then there are children like my older son, now 12, for whom we had an extensive ASD evaluation completed only to find out that he has so many sensory issues, he presents to non-evaluators (like his pediatrician and teachers) as having an ASD. Or my 3 year old, who sits rigidly upright and rocks back-and forth endlessly to try and regulate herself, among many MANY other behaviors. So, there's really numerous levels of sensory dysfunction you need to take into account. My now-three-year old is going for early intervention, and due to her age I've sat in on MANY sessions before she was comfortable enough with the OT that I could sit outside the office, and yes...what they're doing in OT is an hour of intensive exercises. If you've actually researched SPD you'll know that's exactly what your child needs...targeted exercises to address their areas of imbalance, so I'm not clear on what the complaint there even is. Parents should understand what you are dealing with before diving into an SPD eval/therapy agreement because it IS expensive, a lot of insurance DOES NOT cover OT, and furthermore it's not an exact science. No, SPD isn't in the DSM, but those of us with children who have extreme dysfunction KNOW it's "real" - personally, I believe it's just an un-diagnosable ASD, but I digress. Second, I'd like to address the complaint about the sensory "homework". Yes, you're given numerous sensory exercises to complete each week. If you're looking for a super quick fix for these types of issues, you're going to be sorely disappointed. OT is something you carry over into everyday life to try and help your child learn to integrate their sensory messaging more effectively. If you want to take your kid to therapy once or twice a week and forget about it, then no, this place is not for you. You're going to need to participate and frankly inconvenience the hell out of yourself to see any results. My kid doesn't get to watch TV anymore...at all. I have to take her into school late twice a week, and interrupt my working schedule to get her there. That's life with a special needs kid I'm finding, and while I'm fortunate enough to have pretty flexible working arrangements, complaining about doing sensory homework again just demonstrates the lack of understanding on this reviewer's part of nature of this dysfunction. On the whole I've felt that the experience has been positive and we are seeing results with our daughter and hope to get our son into OT soon as well.

First off, their billing is not transparent and is very expensive. $480 per month for 4 hours of care, and I haven't heard of anyone's insurance covering it because of the diagnosis they list it under. Second, they have ridiculous cancellation policies if your kid is sick or if something comes up, but if THEYRE late (Our therapist, Kim, "didnt see us" in the reception area one time and was 15 minutes late. That essentially cost us $30 of our time because they won't go past the hour) they won't reimburse you. If you reach out to their billing person, Jackie, you will not get a response. I had to send 3 messages originally to find out why our bill went up so much. I've sent 3 more messages since then asking for clarification and to be removed from the program, still no response. I then received an email from Cathy asking me to sign the new 2026 rates, that include a price increase. Sending out the 2026 rates on February 25th when they went into place at the start of the year just shows how they are not transparent at all. They have a waitlist so they truly do not care if you don't have a good experience, they will just replace you with the next person willing to pay through the roof. Ignoring my requests and questions is a clear sign of that. Finally, the care itself really isn't worth what you're paying. Our sessions always started a few minutes late, ended early every time, and the only updates we got were that he likes going on the swing and is learning to hold his pencil correctly. He does this all at preschool, this shouldn't be why we're paying $500 a month. He needed help with bathrooms, public toilets, eating, etc and those things were quite literally never discussed, even after 3 months. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is a profit driven company preying on families who need help.
